MAN UNITED boss Louis van Gaal has been panned by fans bored to tears watching five 0-0 draws in their last 10 games – ironically that's a result that will knock them out of the Champions League tonight.
Only one of those matches (2-1 at Watford with two late strikes) has gone over 2.5 goals so chances of a huge deviation from the norm is difficult to see.
United must at least score away to Wolfsburg to win to guarantee a last-16 place in the Champions League. If it's 0-0 – or any drae – it will be the Germans going through with PSV if they take care of CSKA Moscow at home.
So how will van Gaal play it? Will he go for goals or more likely try to keep it tight in the hope of nicking a winner.
It's a tough task for a United side without Morgan Schneiderlin the latest man to join Wayne Rooney, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Ander Herrera on the sidelines.
Wolfsburg aren't shy about not conceding either with five clean sheets in their last 10 matches and two clean sheets in the group stage. A 0-0 – always do no scorer – pays 9-1 at Betfred while under 1.5 goals pays 9-4 at bet365.
PSV know what they need to do and are good enough to edge out the Russians. They are unbeaten in nine while CSKA have lost five of their last six. Back PSV at 4-5 with BetVictor.
In Group D Man City are in unenviable position regarding English clubs as they've already qualified but can finish top if they beat Borussia Monchengladbach at home and Juventus lose in Sevilla.
Monchengladbach are out to secure their place in the Europa League and a win will make sure of third and they will make it with a defeat if Sevilla fail to beat the Italians.
This isn't easy to call but it Juve should at least manage a point even though they have left striker Mario Mandzukic at home. That could mean a comeback for Alvaro Morata after injury and the Spaniard is 3-1 with Betway to score.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini says he's not bothered if he finishes first or second but that's crazy because surely he wants to avoid Barca, Bayern and Real. His men were dire in defeat at Stoke on Saturday while Monchengladbach's weekend victory over Bayern Munich showed their class.
I they turn up and are interested they'll cause City problems at the back. Both to score could be the shout here at 17-20 with BetVictor.
In Group A the 1-2 has already been decided with Real Madrid and PSG filling the slots. Both finish off at home tonight and both will rest players although whatever side Real put out will be still be too strong for Malmo who are in their close season and without banned top scorer Markus Rosenborg.
Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and keeper Keylor Navas are definitely rested but there should be plenty of goals if Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema start. Benzema netted a sharp double against Getafe at the weekend and is better value than Ronaldo at 10-11 with Coral to score.
PSG face a Shakhtar side who need to beat or match Malmo's score to qualify for the Europa League. I want to see firm French team news before deciding where to go with this one.
Most exciting game could be Benfica v Sevilla in Group C. Both have qualified but the winner will clinch top spot while a draw gives it the Portuguese who won 2-1 in Spain.
And finally Galatasaray need a win or draw at home to Astana to clinch third spot. The Turks should win and are 4-7 at Betfred which could be one for acculmulators.
Bets to Consider
Wolfsburg v Man Utd under 1.5 goals
Man City v M'gladbach btts
Benzema to score
Griezmann to score
