A LATE strike by QPR at Reading made it four Super Single winners in two days.
I quite fancied QPR to win but played safer with them not to lose. The goal brought up one part of the Top Treble but that was the only success so it's another point lost there.
One of the losers was Sassuolo and again it highlighted the risk of backing better sides against lesser ones in cup games. Look at Spain for example with Athletic Bilbao the only one of seven favourites to win on Thursday.
Also must mention Krenar who later advised against Sassuolo and was spot on. He's a new contributor and one worth watching because I don't think he's called anything wrong yet.
With it being Friday my focus was on finishing my Daily Record column before working on the sports desk tonight.
That meant little time to look at Friday's games so please bear that in mind. There are some big names in action too including Lazio v Juventus in Serie A, Schalke v Hannover in the Bundesliga, Nice v PSG in France and Benfica v Academica in Portugal.
Gary Neville will be so busy in Spain he might not notice Salford City v Hartlepool in the FA Cup while it's Ipswich v Middlesbrough in the Championship. Both games are tough to call but the feeling is Salford, who beat Notts County in the previous round, won't lose.
Middlesbrough should be close to full strength after losing to Everton in the Capital One Cup and I expect them to win or draw. There have been some tips on the site on David Nugent to score as he always seems to do so against Ipswich.
The good news is I won't have time to research the Dutch Jupiler League games as I did to no avail on Monday. But of course they usually provide goals with hot teams including Dordrecht and Helmond.
Starting on Friday there is the Mr Fixit v Greg Browning £10 to £100 challenge and if you want to follow our progress do so under Betting Challenges on the forum. Greg starts with a 4-7 single and I'm on an even-money double. I wish him luck.
My top tips today come from the main games simply due to lack of time. The Super Single is Juventus at Lazio at 5-4 with Coral. Juve look back to their best after a poor start and have won their last four in Serie A.
On the other hand the Romans lie in 10th spot with four defeats in their previous five although they have qualified for the next stage of the Europa League. I can't see Juve losing and Juve draw no bet is less risky but I'm chancing the away win.
PSG were held 0-0 at Angers in midweek after winning 12 away matches in a row. They should get back on track against a Nice side who lie fifth in the table but aren't quite as thrifty at the back as Angers. PSG have beaten their opponents five times in a row and start the Top Treble.
Add stats-based both to score at Schalke. Hannover have netted in their last five away trips. Three seasons ago they lost 5-4 in Schalke but haven't netted on their last two visits. Both have scored in Schalke's last six matches in the Bundesliga.
Complete the treble with Nurnberg who are the only side unbeaten at home in Bundesliga B. They have won four and drawn four and face a Paderborn side who sit third bottom and have lost five of their last six on the road.
