JUST the one winner for JohnB on Tuesday with NB Howlongisafoot proving inch perfect.
It was advised at 7-4 but a 15p rule four reduced those odds to 6-4. The nap Kolonel Kirkup was a non-runner and Beach Bar came second, beaten by a head.
Valid Point was third after being advised at 9-1 but made jumping mistakes at the last three fences while Arabian Bride ran a shocker.
So a small loss of 1.5 points for the day but our man is confident of finishing strongly on the last day of the year.
There is a big doubt about racing at Warwick and Uttoxeter on Wednesday so he has concentrated on Lingfield.
Zman Awal 4-1 NB Ladbrokes
Also advising Nap & Nb double
Stormbound & Zman Awal 24-1 Ladbrokes
Has had nearly two months off and always runs well after a break. And although there are nine runners there doesn't look to be much pace here, which means Martin Lane could try and win from the front.
I think he should because I can see Stormbound having too much pace for these in what looks a weak race. Martin Lane has only ridden Stormbound once and won.
Zman Awal (NB)
Tom Queally rode a shocker on this horse last time so she can be excused for that run. The time before that she was second in what has turned out to be a good race.
The winner that day BINT DANDY has since ran second and first. Also, the third horse that day has come out and won three times.
Hayley Turner is onboard this time and although I am not a fan of her at least she has won on the horse round here and over this distance.
Again like the nap's race I can't see where the pace is going to come from but this horse does have gears and can really quicken off a slow pace, so Hayley can either sit just off the pace or try and make it herself.
Both horses on Wednesday I expect to really quicken off the final bend and if both do that I can't see them being caught.
