Fantastic day yesterday with a full house of 14 lines landing. If I can get anywhere near that today I’ll be delighted.
Small card again today but there’s a few that I like. Taking a slight risk with Barcelona to win against a strong Olympiakos team but Barcelona have really impressed me this season and only recently put my Madrid team to the sword. I expect Barcelona’s offence to overcome a erythromycin strong Olympiakos defence.

Cheers bud. It’s always a tough question to answer as I like them all. At a push you should look at CSKA -2.5 and team totals. Have a look at their stats from last 5 H2H and you’ll see they both look strong.
….this being said, Euroleague is always a difficult competition for betting. It’s Europe’s elite and anything can and will happen. The Praha 1st half unders also looks good. Best way…just close your eyes and pick one lol.

Hunter mate, from the stats I’ve seen, Kalev seem to be at their best in the 3rd quarter. Any reason why you’ve gone for the 2nd quarter (-2.5 hand.) instead?
Yes agreed but the spread in the 3rd was set at -7.5 when I checked last! There’s a gulf in class between these two teams and think -2.5 is worth a shot.

King survived a scare from the Russian preliminary round player Oreshkin and rallied back from two sets down to claim the victory quite impressively. He ended up hitting eight 180’s, 15 140’s and twenty one 100’s. Klaasen posted the highest average from round one in his match aganst Cullen with a 102 average. He blew him away in straight sets and hit six 180’s. This is a match where the total 180 line stands a good chance of being broken as both are expected to contribute to the tally and it could be played out over many sets. Yesterday 13 180’s or more were achieved in three out of the six matches played. The three which were under the line were games which were whitewashes and one that featured a low 180 scorer.
Klaasen has finished the final quarter of the year in style, putting in some great performances of heavy scoring. The former Lakeside champion’s throw is a quick one which sees him score a lot of maximums and it was the main reason he acquired the highest average of round one as Cullen just could not live with it and he went down 3-0. King also is known to get his fair share of 180’s, however over the course of the match I’d expect Klaasen to get more as his throw is more consistant. He should also cover his line due to the longer format of round two.
Wade hit five maximums against a poor Newton in the second round in what was a straight sets victory. Likewise Caven dispatched of Evans by way of whitewash with a steady performance. I’d expect Wade to repeat the feat of at least five maximums against Caven as Jamie is a definate step up in quality and certainly posseses the game to nick one or more sets of Wade so there should be increased opportunities for 180’s.
Smith is probably one of the most accomplished players in the game at the moment at taking out high checkouts alongside Taylor and Van Gerwin. Any combination shot on the same bed with a double seems to be meat and drink for him right now but he can also pick trebles off all around the board and take the double double route when required. In round one he posted a high of 134 and round two 140. Benito Van de Pas should’nt threaten Smith in this area because his darts sit upwards on the board and generally he does’nt have the best throwing technique to put toghether high heckout numbers with all three darts.

Yeah that was gutting. Van de Pas only had three chances to check out but he goes and hits a 148 when Smith had three darts at double 20 and missed them all. Hopefully Van Gerwin will rescue the day in the evening.

@humble-tipper replying to your question on Mike Conley, I’d say the over 16.5 points seems a good bet, as he’s averaging 19.5 the last 6 games.
There is something that makes me slightly wary about this bet though, It seems odd that the bookies haven’t increased his total by at least a point, considering recent form.
Maybe it’s the fact that he only scored 9 points @ Heat on Dec 13th, he had a pretty poor game by his standard.
Still, the over 22+ Points and Assist’s does seem like a fair enough bet, he average’s about 5 assists per game too.
Personally I wouldn’t stake too much on it though, as assists are difficult to call.

Difficult tonight on the nba side of things, Cleveland have not been playing great but they are still a v good side and I will be taking -5 on the spread v the Nuggets at 10/13, 6 points,
The Rockets home form has been v impressive however I feel that the Hawks will end the unbeaten home run that they are on, think i will play it safe and stick to the one bet above, may be tempted should the spread change.
Some might have watched the Baylor game a couple weeks ago and they were atrocious with their 3rd string QB. Their star wide receiver will not be playing too. I know little about college football but I do know who is in the playoffs, and North Carolina toughed it out with the best team in the country a few weeks ago losing 45-37 to Clemson.

Rotten and frustrating afternoon in equal measures. Missed Klaasen’s 180 line by one as he only seemed to get going at the tail end so subsequently just missed the total line by two. Anderson hit eight 180’s, nineteen 140’s and threatened two nine darters against Gurney in round two. I think he knows he will have to be hitting plenty of maximums to stay with Van der Voort, who also hit eight in round two. This is the time where the big performances are noticed and Anderson will have seen Bunting hit fifteen, Smith hit twelve, and Wright hit nine and he will definitely want to set a high standard tonight.
Van Gerwin took out 160, 136, 121 and 117 finishes against Darren Webster. His finishing ability is second to none. Barney took out a high of 131 against Bunting. Both players are very capable at checking out big scores so the set line of 132.5 has a good chance of being breached.
Van Gerwin will relentlessly batter the treble twenty bed once he establishes his proper rhythm. He hit six 180’s against Webster but finished with a 109 average because his checking out and cover shooting were also excellent. Against Barney I’d expect him to hit a few more 180’s and he should cover his line.
Suljovic started very poorly against Pallett and pretty much progressed due to Pallett missing doubles. If he does the same tonight, which is likely, it will be a quick nights work for Lewis, who hit four maximums in the first set against Gilding. Lewis should comfortably see off Suljovic so the -1.5 handicap is a good selection for this match.

With the 2x fourfolds failing it was still a £43 profit (2.15pts) overall thanks to the singles.
Olympiacos reminded me why I backed them to win the competition with a convincing win against Spanish giants Barcelona. Sfairopoulos still continues to surprise me with his tactical nouse and todays dissapointment will be a distant memory if he continues to produce these kinds of results.
I’ll also take this as a lesson learned betting on the Euroleague. CSKA (another selection) slumped to a shock defeat to Khimki. This just shows how unpredictable this competition can be at times.
On a positive note, that’s continuous profit from my selections since I started of my new strategy, and it should make some good reading at the turn of the year.
