DENVER BRONCOS head into the Monday night NFL clash with plenty riding on their meeting with Cincinnati Bengals.
Broncos have lost two in a row to put at risk their hopes of winning the AFC West and there's even a slight chance they could fail to make the play-offs.

Alan “Chuck ” Norris made light work of Thornton in round one sending him home in a 3-0 straight sets victory after he hit numerous big scores and posted a 96.88 average. Since the former Lakeside finalist moved from the BDO to the PDC he has been quite impressive. He has already won a tour event but more importantly he has continued his power scoring that faired so well for him in the past. Norris acquires many 140’s and 180’s in matches due to the excellent grouping on his darts so there is nearly always ample space remaining in the treble 20 bed to complete a 180. In this first to four sets format he is very likely to break his 180 line.
Suljovic is the player that nobody on the circuit wants to play right now. He has a unique ability of taking away his opponents game plan, slowing down the match with his methodical approach and even choosing to checkout on unfavoured doubles like double 14 with great success. He is not known for being a prolific 180 scorer, however he does get them in matches and even threatened a nine darter at the European Championship. I think the bookies are offering a good price on a relatively low line for him. He has hit five 180’s in matches equal or slightly above the minimum twelve legs to win before. Also Suljovic did atually drop a set to Wattimena in round one before winning 3-1 and posting a 99.44 average so if he was to drop a set to Pallet, which is quite likely, it would give him even more opportunities to achieve his line.
Webster vs Jenkins is too close to call. Webster’s form has been much improved this year. Jenkins is a quality player however there are a lot of inconsistancies in his game at the minute. There are too many stray darts being thrown into the 5’s and 1’s and his checking out under pressure can be questionable. I think giving webster a two set handicap lead is enough to see him win in this.
Suljovic is favourite to win against Pallet who just edged past Kim Huybrechts in a final set. Giving Suljovic a set lead on the handicap is again good to see him win.
Norris has always been a prolific 180 scorer where as the bulk of Murnan’s big scores are in the 140 braket so Norris should win the 180 contest quite comfortably.

Lewis vs Gilding will be a match where there will be opportunities to check out big finishes due to heavy scoring, which could potentially arrive at any moment throughout a leg. Lewis took out a brilliant 164 against Jan Dekker in round one and of the two players he would probably be the more likely to take out a big shot. Lewis is very good all around the board on trebles and has checked out scores above 131 numerous times before on the pro tour and on TV.
Taylor has changed his darts so not many people are sure what to expect from him against Painter. He apparently has been putting in a lot of practice with them so if he does feel settled with them I would fancy him to break his 180 line, something which he usually can be relied on to do.
There is no question Peter Wright has become one of the most consistant players on the circuit. Its also notable that his 180 scoring has increased dramatically throughout the year. Ronny Huybrechts has never been prolific on 180’s so will not threaten Wright in this area.
Gilding put in a very solid performance against Price in round one. He hit four 180’s and many 140’s which enabled him to run away as 3-0 winner. Lewis was level at 2 sets all with Jan Dekker and its likely that had Lewis not taken out the 164 finish, Dekker would have won the third set. I think Gilding will win at least one set especially if he defends his throw with tons, 140’s and 180’s which he demonstrated in the previous round. Its well documented that Lewis can go to sleep in legs at times so all things considered its probable Gilding will win the minimum required set to bring in the double.

One bet I like is the total, it looks on the low side to me. Two backup QB‘s go head to head in primetime. MNF is huge in the US and especially for Osweiler he could be auditioning for starting job in the NFL next season. Cincinnati clinched their division last night, so they can relax and try and lay down a marker for the playoffs. Denver have a terrific D while the Bengals have 19 picks this season. I can see both defences creating turnovers and short field positions, for their offence.
It is going to be cold in Colorado tonight so expect a heavy dose of the run by the Bengals but if they fall behind early expect them to be forced to put it in McCarron hands.
I am going to put 2pts on Denver WR Demaryius Thomas to find the end zone. He as scored 3 in his last 3 and despite having a poor season he is still the go to guy in Denver.

Really not tempted by much tonight in this AFC showdown. Two teams with back ups QB‘s and fairly good defenses make for a poor game. I’d slide to the under but thats not my style. Tempted on Sanders yards for Denver or Marvin Jones for the Bengals. 70.5 and 48.5. QB‘s involved are throwing up red flags though. Could see a few turnovers. Small interest on this as they are very much a two headed pair and they’ll usually go with the hot hand. Gary Kubiak would much prefer to run the ball here with the pressure the Bengals can get upfront, the same with the QB. Ronnie Hillman is the lead back but like I say, it all depends on the hot hand. CJ Anderson will get more snaps in the passing game but I think Kubiak will try and keep pressure off Osweiler and the only way to do that is to run the football.
