IT'S a quiet couple of days before the sporting action returns with a bang on Boxing Day with cricket leading the way.
England begin the first Test against South Africa in Durban and the tourists are sweating on the availability of leading wicket taker James Anderson who has a calf injury.
Anderson will be given every chance to prove his fitness ahead of the four-match series against the world's top-ranked side.

Just a a little one for tomorrows game. DeSean Jackson will be back where it all started for him in the NFL when the Washington Redskins travel to the Philadelphia Eagles, where this game will have HUGE playoff implications for the winner. Jackson has been a big threat for Washington since his return with 4 TD’s in their last five games and having receiving totals of 87, 66, 80, 43 and a 153 yard game against Buffalo last week. With Cornerback Byron Maxwell not practising this week and doubtful to play, Jackson shouldn’t have too much trouble down the field where he has grabbed passes for 77, 63 and 56 yard gains in his past five with a reception of 28 yards or more in his last 6 contests. Last season Jackson had over 117 yards in both games against Philly, totaling 243 yards on 9 receptions for a TD. There is rain scheduled so this may be quite risky.

Cincerely hope I’m wrong this time around but I have been right on the majority of the Packers games this season. Sunday is probably our biggest game of the regular season with the way things have played out, but its also our toughest. Arizona lost Tyrann Mathieu last weekend, and that’ll be a huge loss on the defensive side. Fortunately they have one of the best offense in the league in my opinion and I will be amazed if my Packers who haven’t won convincingly in many of their games this season. We had a 92 yard drive last week in Oakland but only ended the drive with three points. Performances like that won’t get the most important W of the season in Arizona.
One of the hottest teams in the AFC head to Baltimore for this divisional match up. The Steelers have scored 30 or more in their last six contests and need to win their last two games for a wildcard sport without concern, but can still win their division if the Bengals lose in Denver and depending on what happens next week. Pittsburgh know what they need to do with the Ravens playing for a better draft spot. Baltimore will try to make a game of this as much as they can, but I can’t see the Steelers dropping a L here. Not if Beg Ben and Antonio Brown have anything to say about it.
