THERE was high drama at the UK Championships on Tuesday as joint title favourite Judd Trump crashed out and Thailand's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh missed out on a 147 break – and £44,000 – when he fluffed the final black.
Trump's defeat to China's Liang Wenbo means Mark Selby now tops the title betting at 7-2 with William Hill, closely followed by Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy (both 4-1, totesport).

Early thoughts…
So here we are again in the Eurocup as Italians Brindisi entertain Spaniards Gran Canaria. The traveling team currently sit top of group B with 3 wins from 5 and +60 whereas their opponents currently sit at the bottom with 1 win from 5 and -60. In the reverse fixture here on the 27/10, Gran Canaria were comfortable winners with a score of 103-76.
Gran Canaria have also won reasonably comfortably against a decent Le Mans team whereas hosts Brindisi lost by 15 and only managed to score 45 points in that game. One slight concern for me is that Gran Canarias are very poor away from home and have lost their previous 5 away games.
Open for suggestions here but I’m going to mull this over some more.

Tyson Chandler is out for the Suns so Drummond should have a good match up against Alex Len. Last five games have totaled 24, 20, 15, 18 and 15. Only problem is his FT shooting is on par with DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howards. Should get the majority of his points inside the paint though.
When I say on par, that’s the worst in qualified FT shooting. There are 128 players ranked in FT shooting in NBA. Drummond is 127th in front of Jordan.
