IT'S been a pretty good week and the winners continue to pile up. I was fairly cautious on Thursday with all the cup games but managed to land the Super Single and Daily Double.
I chose AC Milan to score 2+ above winning and got lucky with their second goal arriving deep into injury time.
The Daily Double was Celta Vigo and Villarreal -1 and on the forum my Betting Club tip landed for the fourth day running but they've all been short ones.
Greg Browning's nap won early doors as he backed Standard Liege to score 2+ against Kortrijk.
I'm afraid it's the time of week when almost all my concentration is on my weekend Daily Record columns and I only have a limited time to look at Friday's card.
In England it's Birmingham v Cardiff in the Championship and Southend v Bury in League One. Morton tackle Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship and I quite like the home men at 13-10 with McBookie. In fact I'm taking that as the Super Single.
They were the first team to take a point at Ibrox last week and face a side without a win in six games and facing a defensive crisis. Rovers have doubts about Grant Anderson, Lewis Toshney, Kyle Benedictus and Mitch Megginson and Iain Davidson has a broken nose but may play with a protective mask.
Denny Johnstone has been Morton's most impressive attacker this season and is 7-4 at Ladbrokes to score at any time. Morton bring back on-loan Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto after he was forced to sit out the Ibrox game but Peter MacDonald and Michael Tidser are absent.
There have been goals in the English Championship all season and that could be the case at St Andrews. Blues games have been low scoring but Cardiff matches full of action with 16 in their last five so over 2.5 could be on.
Ex-Celt Tony Watt and Kenwyne Jones have teamed up well and shared the three goals against Brentford in midweek. Watt is 31-10 at boylesports to score and Jones 12-5 with Ladbrokes.
Stats suggest a draw and under 2.5 goals at Southend with the last four meetings producing stalemates – a 0-0 and three 1-1s.
On the continent there are some big games with Schalke entertaining Hoffenheim, Elche facing Cordoba and Nice at home to Montpellier. Schalke have been inconsistent but should beat second-bottom Hoffenheim who have lost there on their last four league visits and conceded at least three goals on each occasion.
Hoffenheim are 7-10 at Betfred to win and 28-13 at 888sport to score three or more.
Montpellier have a good record at Nice, losing only once in six visits, and are in better form. They are 12-5 underdogs at bet365 and a Super Single contender at 13-10 with McBookie and BetVictor.
There are the usual lower-league matches with the Jupiler League hopefully providing plenty of goals. And in the Dutch top flight there have been over 2.5 goals in five of Twente's last six ahead of their visit to Vitesse.
For the Top Treble I'm going with over 2.5 goals at Vitesse as well as Morton and Cardiff not to lose. It's not the most inspired bet I'be put up but it's Friday so it's the best I can do.
And remember to check out our friends at We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

micky belfast, I haven’t really been doing anything different but I’m still learning.
I maintain you can learn things every day and I’d say this season I’ll maybe pull back from a bet I might have posted a year ago.
It’s also about luck – everyone needs a rub of the green.

Palestino v Catolica just about to KO second half. Already called the BTTS at 4/5 in-play and certainly action still to come in this one…Over 3.5 goals pays 11/10 and could be worth a go.
Does anyone know if bet365 are following the real potosi game inplay? Missed the pre match btts market and now can’t find it cheers
Matthew, kicked off about 5 minutes late but not currently on 365.
I was thinking the opposite to you Mr F regarding the goals in the Birmingham Cardiff game. Birmingham have failed to score in 6 of their last 7 home games, Cardiff failed to score in 4 of their last 5 away games. Both teams to score – no, at 17/20 looks like the bet for me.
Morton v Raith
BTTS 8/11
Apart from the 0-4 game against Rangers, Morton have only conceded one goal at home this season, which was to Falkirk on the first game of the season.
A crazy stat.
But it is Morton, and Raith are more than capable of finding the net.
Not betting on it but Palestino RT9 worth a wee go inplay at 13/8
If Palenstino RT9 is available at a big price with 10-15 mins left and still 1-1 I’ll get involved
Well it didn’t happen how I expected but I am happy Leeds got then win and I think they proved the bookies got it wrong with how they played. I know a few people were on BTTS as well so well done to them, I got on it in play at 6/5 in the 35th minute.
Well done on another brilliant night to you also Mr Fixit, AC sure had us sweating.
Its nice to be able to have some games to pick from that aren’t cup games again and although I haven’t looked through them I noticed Waregem are playing in the Belgium Jupiler League. They have seen over 2.5 goals in 15 of their 19 games this season and have also seen it in 11 games on the trot. So ill be on,

Looks good Jordan. I also had these on my shortlist. NAC, Go Ahead, FC Eindhoven, Sparta all should be able to score 2 in the Jupiler league.
Cheers Mr O. I did actually post an update on my profile asking you if you had any queries on it. Only thing that bothered was was that the majority of goals for the Eagles have come from one player.
Yeah, I saw that when I was checking my spam mail! New to that.
De Kogel (literally means the bullet) is actually a player who can play on Eredivisie level. He scored some beautiful goals this season.

Hey early morning risers I’d just like to bring something to your attention.
Newcastle Jets vs Adelaide Utd (8:40am)
Brandon Lundy plays as a striker/winger for Newcastle Jets. He has just been promoted to the team from the Newcastle Jets youth squad. He scored 11 goals in 33 appearances for the youth squad. He’s listed in the team line up for this mornings game. Paddy Power have him priced up at 50/1 for first goal and 18/1 anytime. I was only able to put a couple of pounds on due to heave restrictions. Best price elsewhere is 11/1 and 7/2. Get on it if you can.
I’m going to give my getting view before I rant. Depending on terms and conditions do not back Hiddink as Chelsea manager in my opinion. It will be him or Ramos (who has allegedly been seen in London) until the end on the season in my opinion. William Hill are only paying out on contracts of a year or more. Simeone is a definite candidate, the rumours with Conte have been there a while, I find the timing of the sacking and Guardiola announcing his exit interesting too.
On the other hand I don’t believe he should have been sacked, Hiddink will definitely rally the players but the atmosphere at The Bridge on Saturday will be toxic and regardless if we win, the fans will turn on the players, you play for the shirt not the manager and I hope half of them go in the summer.
@jackcfc im a ST holder in the MHL and agree the atmosphere will be interesting at the weekend, the players have been nothing short of woeful, I would say only really Willian (in spells) playing anything near 50% of last years form. They all look like they have given up, and as passionate as he is JT isn’t getting any younger. I do feel like (around me anyway) fans were starting to lose patience. Ultimately something had to change as we are losing game after game, but the players have to show the attitude to fight as well!
I’m not a chelsea fan but i think its a mistake in the long run to sack Jose. I would have given him the chance to punt the trouble makers/under performers in Jan and bring in fresh faces. He’s a top coach and will bounce back.
Good morning all!

Sparta Rotterdam over 1.5 team goals
Lierse SK over 1.5 team goals
Double @ 2.14 with Betfair (or 365)
Sparta have score at least 2 goals in all their home games this season. I think they will continue this trend on Friday night when they play MVV. Sparta’s goalscorers Verhaar and Brogno are fit to play. MVV conceded 10 goals in their last 4 games (2-2-3-3) and they miss their two central defenders Pereira (suspended) and Labylle (injured). Pereira played all games this season and Labylle has only missed their last 2 games.
Lierse had a terrible start of the season, but are back on the up and unbeaten in their last 9 games. They scored 31 goals in 18 games and scored in all but one of their home games. The only failed to score against league leaders Antwerp. They rely on the goals of Slovenian striker Velikonja, who scored 13 in 15 games and also have Kenyan international Masika in their squad. Lierse play Deinze who haven’t won in 11 games. They conceded 35 goals in 18 games and conceded in every away game. They conceded 2+ in 8 of their 9 away games, only keeping bottom team Heist to a 1-1 draw.

Olympiakos playing bottom of the table Kalloni (last H2Hs 5,5,4)
Barca playing River Plate in the Worldclub Championship (no H2Hs but its Barca even possibly without Messi and Neymar)
Will combine them > 1.5TGS 0.9/1
My step-dad is a Blues fan and by his admission, they’re diabolical. Cardiff have been a bit patchy but seem to be playing better than Birmingham throughout this campaign. I think Cardiff not to lose could be the way forward.
Afternoon gents
Friday night cRds have been touch to pick from in recent weeks’
This week is no sifferent – have come up with two bets for tonight
Lierse v Deinze KO 7.30pm
The hosts are on a good run at the moment and are undefeated in their last 8! Surprised how short they to win this given they are only a few places above Deinze! On closer inspection though Deinze have been awful away from
Home, without a win and have conceded 2 or more in 7 of those 8 matches! This should be a comfortable home win with Lierse scoring at least twice! They’ve played teams in and around Deinze in recent weeks, winning 3-1 and 4-1, going for this to follow those!
Back over 2.5 match gosls 7/10 (Bet365) (NAP)
The Frexnh second tier has come close in recent weeks for all matches seeing 2 or more goals
Theirs just 7 games tonignt
Over 1.5 match goals accumulator pays 11/1
Lierse schalke and osnabruck treble and a Lierse single my main bets for tonite. Osnabruck amazing price at 13/8 WH. underdogs at hopeless stuttgart kickers???? I will regret not doing a single on them too!

Couple I think will end in a draw in the French Ligue 2,
Sochaux v AC Ajaccio – 19/10
Just one point separates these teams with both of them only winning 3. 4 of the last 5 times they have played it has ended in a draw and looks like there is a good chance of this happening again
Valenciennes v Paris FC – 2/1
Paris FC have drawn a massive 11 from 18 games this season and with Valenciennes not winning at home from 9 attempts drawing 6 it looks like there is a good chance in this one resulting a draw as well.

An interesting read with some good stats in this post on the upcoming Ipswich/Derby game http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35077803
Buoyed by the change of formation from the rigid 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 expectedly we beat Bristol 4 nil last time out. Derby have been a bit shy of goals of late, and this new formation ran riot. Every player knew his own role and had Ince not got a hatrick, my man-of-the-match would easily of been former Derby keeper between the sticks for Bristol Frank Fielding. He’s the reason it never ended up a cricket score,YES it was that one sided.
I’ve noticed the gaffer isn’t scared to make changes, he made 3 with Thorne, Butterfield and Martin all dropped to the bench. Hendrick was deservedly in the starting 11 -but is a doubt for tomorrows clash against Ipswich. Martin is expected to be back – he’s scored in the last 2 games against Ipswich ( maybe coming through the Norwich academy has something to with that, but it seems to give him an extra yard ). Russell also came back into the squad and it’s nice to see him put in the levelof performance he did 6 days ago – he’s been a bit short for 4 or 5 games to be honest. Bent came in for Martin and Bent who is largely playing cameo roles has been stuck on 199 career goals for what seems an eternity.
It’s possible the boss will revert back to a 4-3-3 and nail on a point, me? I’d stick with the same formation and go for it. In their last 7 games at home, Ipswich have lost twice ( against the top 2 ) and drawn 5. They face a team that tops the table on so many league stats – goals/goal difference/lowest goals conceded/best away record/highest passing rate. — That’s why I’d jump all over this if we opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation, but either way, this ought to be a nailed on Derby not to lose game.
Being an Ipswich supporter I would argue McCarthy would take a point before kick off. I’ve had running battles with fellow Tractor Boys due to fact personally I don’t think we have enough to trouble the top five in league. Last season was no different, plenty of endeavour, but ultimately coming up short against a touch of class! McCarthy’s persistence of playing 3 centre backs in a back 4 hasn’t helped our conceding goals column. That said, the big fella couldn’t of done much better with no funds forthcoming.
Anyone looking ahead to Sunday, in the past month I’ve been watching Plast in the Polish Premier league and their odds are always ridiculously high going into their games. They currently sit top with 42 points and with a great goal difference. They rarely lose but this weeks odds are 9/4 @ bet365 , they are home to Lech Poznan who currently sit 5th on 28 points. Can anyone on here tell me why each week Plast odds are so high with the bookies? cheers
Lech poznan are clicking now&are on a very good run, them& legislation are the two top sides to beat& with the split of the league coming up lech pox man want to be up there& being out of Europe they will concentrate on the league

Evening gents,
As noted yesterday, I’ll be steering clear of the Mighty(ish) Shakers trip to Sarfend this evening in favour of more tropical climes…
Two games I fancy and the first is in the Campeanato Brasilian U20:
GRÊMIO U20 VS. ATLÉTICO MINEIRO U20 (9.00) – both teams games have seen a decent volume of goals but Gremio know how to find the net more than most and I’m confident Over 2.5 should come in at 7/10…NAP.
I’ve been watching the Trinidad &Tobago games with interest of late but have not put money down as yet. There seems a very clear pattern of consistency when looking at favourites/goals and the recent Jabloteh spanking of Club Sando (0-6) certainly bore that out.
Sando are back in action again tonight at 10.00 as they take on Police at home but there’s very little chance of any Sting on Sando’s part for two reasons:
1. Their home form is shite – they have conceded 6, 3 and 4 in consecutive home games.
2. Police come into the game on the back of gubbing St Anne’s Rangers who sit above Sando (St Annes v Sando finished 2-2 for reference)
Very little on offer market-wise and bookies have clearly clocked the possibility of Over 2.5 which sits at 4/11.
A double of the above ‘Over 2.5’ 2 returns 1.31 and that’s the NB
No price as yet but I’ll certainly be looking at Over 3.5 goals in the Sando game and Over 1.5 1st half goals looks tempting at 2.025 given Jabloteh knocked 4 past Sando in the 1st half last week.
Worth a look and good luck.

Australia A-League – 8:30AM
Melbourne City Over 1.5 Team Goals @ EVS @ Boyles – 2.5 points
The Victory will be playing their third game in a week tomorrow morning, and it will be against their fierce rivals of Melbourne City who are well rested. The Victory have played three games away from home and haven’t picked up one point, or even scored for that matter. They will be glad to be on home soil (shared ground with City) but what they won’t be happy about is they come up against the most in form attack in the A -League with City scoring 14 goals in their last three games. A big part Victories troubles might be due to losing their captain for an unknown period as he has been diagnosed with an inflammatory condition affecting part of his brain. City will welcome the return of Aaron Hughes (Brighton, Fulham) from injury so that’s some experience at the back. City also have two of the best inform players at the moment too. Uruguayan striker Bruno Fornaroli (9 goals) leads the A-League golden boot standings, while no player has been involved in more goals this season than midfielder Aaron Mooy (6 goals, 7 assists). Victories Besart Berisha has scored 10 goals in 12 appearances against City but hasn’t scored since their losing streak started. Fornaroli/Berisha Anytime Double might be worth a look @ 18/5 @ William Hill.

Saturday – Premier League – 5:30PM
Newcastle Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 11/10 @ William Hill – 5 points
A few weeks ago Steve McClaren looked like he could have been one of the next managers to leave the Premier League, but somehow or another has pulled out two surprising wins at home to Liverpool and at White Heart Lane, coming down from 1-0 late on. Their opponents will be an extremely troubled Aston Villa who in my opinion has been worse recently than when Sherwood was in charge. If they survive this season I will be extremely surprised and I don’t think Remi Garde is the man to do so. Villa haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home since their 1-0 win at Bournemouth early on in the season. Since then they have lost six of their last seven away from home and I’d expect a Newcastle team who will surely have confidence behind them to put a couple away in front of their home fans.

The Brasilian U 20 game failed to hit Over 2.5 and can’t apologise enough if anyone followed. To be honest, it’s the 2nd time I’ve confidently tipped the Campeanato games and although they have been doing very well, the games I’ve tipped have been poor.
Looking for a hatful of goals in T&T to redeem myself…very rarely seen stats for ‘shots on goal’ at 0-12 by h/t.
