IT'S  a massive Saturday fight night so will Amir Khan dazzle under the bright lights of Las Vegas or end up laid out sparkled on the canvas?

The Bolton boxer is up against tough American southpaw Devon Alexander with the lucrative lure of a crack at unbeaten five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather Junior up for grabs. Alexander is Khan's toughest opponent in three years and the stakes are high in the world's gambling capital.

It's a belter of a fight well worth staying up till the early hours for and bookies make Khan the 4-9 favourite with Alexander 9-4 and the draw 25-1.

To win by decision or technical decision it's Khan at evens and Alexander 4-1. And to win by KO, TKO or disqualification it's 7-2 Khan with Alexander 11-2.

England's cricketers take on Sri Lanka in the sixth ODI looking to tie the seven-match series after victory in midweek. The tourists are 7-5 and Sri Lanka 11-17.

In the Alfred Dunhill Championship golf Branden Grace continues to set the pace after a second-round 66 and now has a five-shot lead at the halfway stage.

There's also Lisbon Open snooker action, top-class European rugby and lots more if you fancy a punt on a packed day of sport.

Good luck with your bets and post your tips and chat here.

    from the other thread
    weekends boxing:

    Erislandy lara v Ishe smith

Lara is a cuban master boxer, smith is experienced former champ who is crafty and is unlikely to give up and let lara get the stoppage however, it’s unlikely he will win more than a round or 2 agaisnt lara

    Lara Points 2/5

    Amir khan v devon alexander

This is a much closer fight than people are suggesting. Khan seems to be looking past alexander which could be very dangerous for him, alexander is no chump, he has only lost to boxers that bully him, he has survived against the hardest hitting men in boxing matthyese and maidana, so a khan stoppage does not seem very likely.
Does alexander have the power to stop khan? with his notorious ‘glass chin’ possibile but unlikely.

    Khan Decision 1/1

    Keith Thurman V Bundu

Bundu is 40 years old, he is unbeaten and has a couple of names on his record in gavin/purdy.
Keith thurman is a highly rated prospect and has good skills and good power.
it’s likely thurman will be patient and break bundu down and stop him in the mid rounds, however if you think bundu can use his ring IQ and craft to survive u can get 2/1 on thurman points

    Thurman KO 4/9

    Tim bradley V chavez

Bradley is considered a top p4p boxer in most ratings. he doesnt have huge KO power and chavez is a tough Argentinian who will look to bully bradley. Bradley however has an incredible chin and has survived devastating punishment from provodnikov and others. bradley to win a closely contested fight.

    Bradley Points 4/9

    Matt Korobov V Andy lee

Korobov has not lived up to his amateur pedigree, beating fellow russian kovalev and having a 310 – 12 record.
He is unbeaten although He hasn’t fought anyone near to andy lee’s level and vice versa Lee has never fought anyone with korobov’s skills

However every time lee has stepped up in class he has fallen short, in his last fight lee was being battered before setting a trap and coming out with a punch from absolutely nowhere and putting his opponent to sleep. Many people are suggesting this is Lee’s Time to become world champion as former trainer Emmanueal Stewart has always claimed.
You can get 3/1 on him just to win. Unfortunately Lee’s defence simply is not good enough and korobov will punish him.

Korobov will either get a late stoppage or win on points.
    Korobov points 6/5
    Korobov Tko/KO 8/5

Early NFL write up with best markets available at the moment. As always I’ll update with better markets but I’ve taken them at the totals given.

    NFL Sunday

Different approach this week. Mostly sticking to prop bet singles as a lot of divisional games, so we could see some crazy results. Have still done some alternative bets to keep me going through the day hopefully.

    Main Prop

Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers) over 270.5 passing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet

I was waiting for this to come up and was expecting over 300. He needs 274 passing yards to break his own team record in a season. Big Ben has the second most passing yards in the NFL and averages 312 yards per game. Atlanta rank last against the pass and receiving yards per game, where as the Steelers rank second in both pass and receiving offense. I tipped as my 100% stake prop bet for Aaron Rodgers to throw over his total on MNF which he did. Rodgers who is on course for the MVP is only ranked 7th in passing yards per game. This game will be played in Atlanta’ Georgia Dome so no wind involved. Pass galore for both sides with Bell getting screens who can have another big game, with Atlanta also ranked 5th in passing and receiving offense, Matt Ryan teaming up with Julio Jones for a massive 259 yards on Monday night at the Lambeau. Jones listed as questionable with a hip injury but we’re only looking at Big Ben.

    NB Props

    Le’Veon Bell (Steelers) over 85.5 rushing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet

No explanation needed. 711 yards over 3 games averaging 237 yards per game total with no less than 5 TD’s. Produced for me two weeks in a row and I’ll be backing him with full confidence once again after seeing Eddie Lacy come close to getting his total Monday night. He is the only RB in the league with over 1,000 yards who is yet to fumble the football via rushing or receiving.

TY Hilton (Colts) receiving yards are at 82.5 @ 10/11 @ Skybet

Considering in the previous fixture this season, Colts won 33-28 in Houston with Andrew Luck throwing for 370 yards with TY getting 223 yards. Putting a small stake on this as its the only market up as it should be more like 95 considering Colts are at home (if the chief was around we’d be getting a C’MON MAN) TY had a big game against the Browns last week in Cleveland with 150 yards, targeted 19 times for 10 receptions, he would of had close to 200 but dropped one in the n zone.
Houston rank 28th against the pass, 27th against receivers, with TY currently ranked 3rd in receiving yards in the NFL. TY should get even more targets this week with Reggie Wayne getting injured against the Browns. Hilton has really hurt the Texans in his career. 611 receiving yards (122.2 per game) and 6 TD’s over five meetings.

Andrew Luck (Colts) over 300.5 passing yards @ 10/11 @ Ladbrokes

The QB that leads the NFL in passing yards and yards per game (331) he’ll have the charging freight train JJ Watt coming at him but it shouldn’t phase him having thrown 370 pass yards in Houston and over the total needed in 5 of his last 6 homes games (10 in all 13 games) already stated how bad the Houston secondary can be having tipped TY to get his total.

    _______________________________________________________________

    50% stake Props

Joique Bell (Lions) over 60.5 rushing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet

The Vikings travel to Detroit to face one of the best defense in the league. Bell rushed for 74 yards over 18 carries when Detroit traveled to Minnesota mid October. Detroit aren’t the best team at the run in the league but Bell has played a key role in the past couple of weeks, rushing for 174 yards in his last two games with 3 rushing TD’s. I think this is good value as the Viks are good against the pass but have given up 259 rushing yards in the past two weeks, with 497 rushing yards over their last 4 games.

Marshawn Lynch (Seahawks) over 80.5 rushing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet.

Lynch rushed for 104 yards against the Niners in the Seahawks win Santa Clara on Thanksgiving. Lynch has rushed over this total in 4 of his last 5 games. Latavius Murray (Oakland Raiders RB) totaled 76 yards in the Niners shock defeat in Oakland last week, with Alfred Morris of the Redskins rushing for over 100 yards. Lynch is ranked the 5th best RB so far this season. Niners will not get anything from this game. Kaepernick choked in his own stadium and the Niners haven’t looked good for weeks. Losing to Oakland, only beating the Redskins by 4 points, and the Giants by 6 points, they’re really going to have to step up against the Legion of Boom who are really starting to show why they have that name after looking average throughout the season.

LeSean McCoy (Eagles) over 82.5 rushing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet.

McCoy rushed for 159 yards in the win in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Can’t see Chip Kelly changing his tactics in what was a big divisional win for the Eagles. Dallas are unbeaten on the road, that may end but I’ll take my chances on McCoy who is the 4th overall RB in the league.
He was held to only 50 yards against Seattle but they are the best rush defence in the league. If you take that game out he has rushed 377 yards in 3 games. Should have another good game against the Cowboys who give up 113.1 yards to RB’s per game.

Justin Forsett (Ravens) over 80.5 rushing yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet

The 3rd overall RB in the league will look to make a big impact on Sunday against the team who released him after a stress fracture saw him out for the season. He was released in March and picked up by the Ravens for a one year deal, and that’s where we are now. Rushing for 471 yards over 4 games averaging 117.7 yards per game, he will be coming up against a Jaguars D who are 28th against the rush (132.5 rysh yards per game) they’ve let slip 254 rushing yards in two games with Houstons Arian Foster and the NY Giants Rashad Jennings both going over this total.

    _______________________________________________________________

    Alternative Bets (WillHill)

    Colts -2
    Patriots -1.5
    Steelers/Falcons over 49 total points @ 17/10

    Detroit Lions -2.5
    Seahawks/Seahawks
    Cowboys/Eagles over 49 total points @ 2/1

    All 6 pays 7/1

    _______________________________________________________________

Chief, Johnny Football to score a TD in Cleveland and the walls to come down @ 11/4?

  4. thechief 9 years ago

Haha! maybe mate, the battle of OhioII I’m looking forward to the game, I just wonder about guys out of collage getting nicknames, “Johnny Football” sure they were good in CNF probably dated the hot cheerleader, but he could be the next Tim Tebow. Tebow Nation anyone out there? :)

  5. thechief 9 years ago

I would much rather be on Eden Hazard at 13/10 Paddy Power. He has scored in 5 of his last 7 at home :)

Usually do my NFL stuff, while watching soccer Saturday, some good games as we head to the playoffs, Philly v Dallas looks game of the week to me. Romo? playoff time? his year? Oh Jerry!!!!

  6. Jordan 9 years ago

Hahaha I know what you mean. ‘Money’ Manziel? Thy guy got picked way below he thought he would have, more like ‘not as much money as the higher picks’ Manziel. Yeah I did all my research early in the week so I knew who I wanted for the weekend on the props which I can’t honestly believe how generous Skybet are being. Even PP have Big Bens yards over 310.5. They don’t learn!

I do like Hazard at home after being rested and Hull being as dog as they are, but I’m on Fernandy Carroll to score a header for a fun bet @ 13/2 and West Ham/Newcastle to score double @ 11/10. That’ll do me with most bets placed for NFL. Might have a go at Manziel Anytime or see what his rush yards are at. Anything under 30 would be worth a go the amount the boy rushes. Bed time for me, might not be around during the day so good luck with your Villa bets mate.

  7. Jordan 9 years ago

Dallas vs Eagles will be a good game but I’ve got a feeling that road record might end. Sorry Jerry, and DeAndre. If the big man is reading from afar.

  8. Skippy 9 years ago

Evening chief or should I say morning, know it a bit early but you gnna be on Bony anytime on Sunday? him and BACCA have served me we’ll the few weeks. Can’t beleive the price these bookies give for two top class strikers

  9. Jordan 9 years ago

I’ve just watched the last two semi finals of the women’s Ultimate Fighter season that I’ve followed from the start and I’m placing a small bet on Rose Namajunas to beat Carla Esparza for the women’s UFC Strawweight championship. Not seen a girl this talented as a mixed martial artist since they arrived in the UFC. Touted as the next Ronda Rousey (Women’s Bantamweight Champion) but I think she could be better than that as she’s only 22. Esparza is a good fighter, she’d have to be to get to the season final, I just think Rose’s background and age offers so much more for a future than Esparza who is 27 and has already been a champion in other less popular MMA organizations .

    Rose Namajunas to win @ 8/11 @ Ladbrokes/PP/Bet 3 6 5

  10. Skippy 9 years ago

Jordan do you know when rousey is fighting next?

  11. Jordan 9 years ago

28th of February against Cat Zingano, Skippy.

  12. Skippy 9 years ago

Forget tht just seen she’s on the weidman v Belford card, another first round win, made some good money on Rhonda cats really aggressive and I think tht will play right into Rhonda hands

  13. Jordan 9 years ago

Yeah I tipped Cat to win in my treble not long back for her comeback fight but it’ll be one Judo flip into an arm bar and the fight will be over, Rousey will be the champion until she retires haha

  14. thechief 9 years ago

Morning Skippy, yeah got to fancy Bony against that dodgy Spurs defence but not really looked in Sundays games apart from the big one Liverpool – Man Utd I smell goals ;)

Jordan cheers mate and good luck with your bets mate, will be studying the NFL while Jeff and Kammy go wild as Villa score hopefully 2 goals :)

  15. Skippy 9 years ago

She’s a beast but last time she fought I think I got 11/10 or 13/10 for it to end in first round hopefully bookies will be feeling generous again.

  16. Jordan 9 years ago

S**t I didn’t realize the fight is starting now!!

Chief good luck but if Kammy is there then you won’t know who’s scored ;)

  17. Jordan 9 years ago

Whoa I’ve just found out Rose is married to Pat Barry, no wonder she’s a beast!

  18. Jordan 9 years ago

Somebody check that bitch for steroids, damn jaw is more chiseled than mine!

Rose Namajunas to win @ 8/11 **LOSE**

Hopefully nobody got on that, didn’t realize the fight was starting 10 minutes after my post.

  19. Attila 9 years ago

@Simon Wright, you on the snooker today? I was thinking an early acca of the following:

    Bingham
    Davis
    Walker
    Robertson
    Murphy
    Brecel
    McManus
    Wenbo

    Odds $6.50.

Let me know if there’s any you’d leave out or not sure of. Cheers mate!

    • Attila 9 years ago

*McManus is out – walkover? And I’ve dropped Walker as well as wasn’t sure on him. Going with remaining 6. Odds of $4 still :-) eaay money

  20. Sport Tipster 9 years ago

Mlac – I agree with all of those outcomes. Do you box?

  21. Yorkshire grey 9 years ago

If anyone likes a unanimous points on boxing, ladbrokes are the only bookie I’m aware of that offer this as a better price than the normal ‘result by decision’. Be careful though, as some judges can be erratic in scoring bouts, as did the Saunders-Eubanks split decision other week cost me dear!

  22. Jordan 9 years ago

Ben Roethlisberger yards now @ 305.5 @ Skybet from yesterday’s 270.5. Hope somebody took notice.

  23. Attila 9 years ago

Update on revised Snooker 6 fold above ($4.00 odds):

    Bingham WON 4-0
    Davis WON 4-0
    Robertson WINNING 2-0 (in play)
    Murphy
    Brecel 0-0 (in play)
    Wenbo

Looking good so far! Did anyone get on or no one into snooker betting? Have found it quite profitable tbh.

  24. Jordan 9 years ago

    Bet 3 6 5 have Lynch yards @ 74.5 @ 10/13 if anybody wants to know. Honda ;)

  25. Jordan 9 years ago

Also taking on a 50% stake LeGarrette Blount (Patriots) over 62.5 rushing yards @ 5/6 @ 3 6 5. Since joining the Pats, Blount has established himself as a the key runner in offense, having 20 carries for 66 yards in San Diego last week, he should have an easy time against a Miami back that has let 329 rush yards through in two weeks. The second worst in the league. Miami’s secondary is pieces with both safety’ and a starting cornerback out so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats cover the spread in the frosty weather. 13 bets in total for Sunday (NAP Prop, 3 x NB Props, 5 x 50% singles, 2 x Alternate Doubles, 6 Fold, 5 Fold Bonkers Bet). Heavy research through the nights hopefully pays off. Still waiting for Le’Veon Bell rush and receiving yards to make it 14, as anything around 150 will be worth considering.

  27. Daleovsot 9 years ago

Does anyone know what time the khan alexander fight starts?

  28. Harpreet 9 years ago

    Daleovscot

    4am mate

  29. V P 9 years ago

LA Clippers v Milwaukee Bucks over 211.5 at evens Bet365 is my pick. If you want to double it up with anything Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers on the money line, or 2.5 head start in the additional points spreads for safety, look good too.

  30. Jordan 9 years ago

Chief you there mate? Not sure how new this is, but WillHill have markets for the NFL on how many Fantasy points they’ll get!

Rushing yards – 1 pt for every full 10 yds rushing
Receiving yards – 1pt for every full 10 yds receiving
Passing yards – 1 pt for every full 25 yds passing
    Rushing TD – 6pts
    Receiving TD – 6pts
    Passing TD – 4pts
    Rushing/receiving/passing 2pt conversion – 2pts
    Fumble lost – minus 2pts
    Interception thrown – minus 2pts

They’ve only got it for the Cowboys game though. Check it out.

    Stefan Struve @ 15/8

  32. Jordan 9 years ago

Good luck hampy I wouldn’t bet against the Reem myself but I’m having a small bet on Nate Diaz @ 12/5 @ 3 6 5.

  33. keano16 9 years ago

Khan to win on points 10/11 he should win by 3/4 rounds
Round betting 7-12 Matt korobov 7/2,he was a world class amature, with that being said he hasn’t fought at a high level yet as a pro so don’t be surprised if Lee causes him problems, maybe even an upset,I’m always looking for value,I think korobov will win on points or a late stoppage, godluck and enjoy ;)

  34. Northern Lights 9 years ago

    Stefan Struve @ 15/8 *LOST*

Ive gone Dos Anjos KO/TKO @ 4/1, just think he’ll have too much for Nate, i do like Nate though, great fighter.

  35. Jordan 9 years ago

Great fighter, not the best attitude but his performances make up for that. I’m a bit annoyed I didn’t think the card was till later and I wanted to get on Mitrione for the TKO. Excited to see Dos Santos, my favourite fighter but I’m not sure he wants it anymore. Miocic no slouch but I’m hoping for a JDS TKO, never know with Heavyweights though.

  36. Northern Lights 9 years ago

yeah, cant wait for JDS, one of my faves aswell

  37. Northern Lights 9 years ago

Dos Anjos KO/TKO *LOST* so close

  38. Gazza83 9 years ago

    Can the kings win tonight??

  39. Jordan 9 years ago

    Nate Diaz @ 12/5 **LOSE**

Those legs kicks were horrible to watch each time.

JDS’s face looking a bit worse for ware but should get the W here. 11/4 for the fight to go the distance before hand!
