I POSTED reasoning for the Super Single (Motherwell) yesterday and here's the reasoning for the other Sunday selections.

I'm going to start with a team at a bigger price than I'd normally put on my treble and in fact Derby could have even been a Super Single choice.

They are 10-11 with Titanbet to beat a Blackburn side who don't show too much signs of improvement even if they haven't changed manager again.

Derby have improved three season in a row under Nigel Clough and must be targeting the play-offs this time round. I saw enough of Johnny Russell at Dundee Utd to know he's a class act who can score goals in the Championship if given a chance.

Another Scot Chris Martin is also a good capture from Norwich and much is expected of Tottenham loanee Adam Smith.

Derby won 12 games at home last season, losing just four, and that was as good a record as promoted Hull. So Pride Park's a tough place to visit and Rovers won just four times on the road last season.

Boss Gary Bowyer has brought in DJ Campbell to support the prolific Jordan Rhodes so that should help but I expect Derby to win this one.

Next I'm on Malmo who travel to Halmstads looking for a lift after being humbled by Swansea in the Europa League. The Swedes have fallen five points off the top of the table after losing to Gefle last time so this a must-win match for them.

Malmo have won on their last five visits to Halmstads, scoring 16 goals in the process, and face a side who have slumped to second bottom in the table after one win in 10. They are 3-4 with Titanbet.

For the treble add Standard Liege at home to Lierse. Standard Liege started the league season with a fine win at Mechelen and followed by beating Xanthi away in the Europa League in midweek.

They have won four out of five meetings against a Lierse side who lost their opener 2-1 at home to Zulte. Lierse are 1-3 at Titanbet.

Top Treble

Malmo (2pm)

Standard Liege (5pm)

Pays £44.55 to a £10 stake at Titanbet

anyone else fancy st johnstone tomorrow ??10-11 on 365

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ben, I commented on the St Johnstone game earlier.

  2. Tony 11 years ago

    A think both will score

  3. Yves 11 years ago

St Johnstone look good but I’m always reluctant to bet on a team after an away European tie.

I am getting 33/1 on either goalkeeper being carded in the Derby/Blackburn game. It’s a long shot but worth a small punt I think.

It was a superb opening day to the season on saturday with my Super single, Top double and Top treble landed :) with fewer games on Sunday I’m treading cautiously. Jamie Ward anytime odds 11/4 @ Betvictor, makes some appeal, but for my super single I’m sticking with Derby who are evens by most firms but Stan James go 21/20.

Super league continues on Sunday and ive selected anytime tryscorers in the 3 games, obviously check starting 13 as with on Friday you get late withdrawals.(As of writing all selections are named in the squad)

Monaghan (Warrington) to score 4/7 Betvictor
Riley (Warrington) to score 5/6 Betvictor
    McGillvary (Huddersfield)to score 4/6 Betvictor
Collis (Wakefield) to score 6/5 Betvictor

    Super Single: Derby 21/20

Jamie Ward anytime 11/4 (check teams)

@ CHIEF,,Followed your treble yesterday and added Aberdeen n Inverness for a great start to the season…Great Tips from Mr F also must have given loads of people a first day profit..

      Keep it up mate :)

  6. Madi 11 years ago

Seems every time I post my bets on here it loses! Last time out I had Chelsea win vs inter and Real Madrid la galaxy game over 1.5 goals f/h. Chelsea won but Real Madrid game only saw 1 f/h goal. Tonight i went for over 1.5 fh goals in Real Madrid game and it comes in. Also on Montreal dnb at 4/1 when they was 1 down, it’s now 1-1…

  7. Madi 11 years ago

Lol posted about the Montreal bet and dc united have taken the lead again, 2-1. This place is a jinx for me! Great tipping going on tho so il stick around :)

    • 1plus2 11 years ago

Madi I know the feeling lol

  8. Madi 11 years ago

Happened too many times now 1plus2 for it to be a coincidence! I actually thought twice about posting the Montreal bet but I thought nah surely not (dc united are bottom of the league, Montreal 2nd I think) then about a minute later dc score!

    • 1plus2 11 years ago

Madi honestly this happens pretty regular to myself and I would hazard a guess to many others on here.

You tend to see mostly the winning tips as they sorta stick out it would be interesting to see the ratio of winning tips per losing tips on here by the posters just to strike any kind of balance.

  9. kyle 11 years ago

If anyone is awake check out san antonio spurs v Tampa bay rowdies its half time and 3-4 already been a goldmine, worth a punt with the overs in the second half

  10. Madi 11 years ago

Betting suspended on bet365 on that game, not surprised with 7 goals in 1st half!

  11. kyle 11 years ago

yeah ive just seen that, i would have put it up earlier, but they had over 8.5 goals at 12/1 so i went a little mad haha

  12. Madi 11 years ago

    Over 9.5 is 5/2….

  13. Madi 11 years ago

On over 9.5 goals at 5/2. Small stakes. Only 3 goals needed….

    • 1plus2 11 years ago

Hope it comes in for you and kyle after such a good 1st half my luck would be shit 2nd half for goals lol

  14. kyle 11 years ago

Well i hope the second half is as generous to us as the first, ill have a look through see if there is much else

  15. kyle 11 years ago

still got juventus v LA Galaxy to come

  16. kyle 11 years ago

  19. kyle 11 years ago

Welcome pal, one last one before i get a kip. sydney united v bonnyrigg white eagles 1-1 at 20th minute i can see a few more to come. betting suspended currently but if it comes into play over 3.5 might be worth a small punt

  20. Madi 11 years ago

Well be on that when it comes back. Only small stakes

  21. Madi 11 years ago

Was soooo tempted to go over 10.5 goals at something like 8/1 but went for the less riskier over 9.5. 4-7 amazing!

    Any tips jst now?

  24. eugene09 11 years ago

Mr F what do you think about vitesse match today ???

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Eugene, Vitesse should win but I’m not looking to back them at short odds. They’ve lost two of last year’s star men Wilfried Bony and Marco van Ginkel and have a few players out for this one. Heracles were poor last season but it’s all about Vitesse and how their new-look side will be. And of course their in the Europa League qualifiers too with a vital second leg against Petrolul on Thursday.

  25. Richard 11 years ago

Possibly interesting match later on in the Italian cup

    Cremonese vs Padova at 5pm

Cremonese caught my eye with the number of goals in their per-season games as they drew 3-3 each with Padova last time out who are the division above and were hammered 7-1 by Fiorentina the game before. Couple these results with the fact their last 2 league games last season both had 7 goals in them then they’ve averaged 7 goals in their last 4 games

Over 2.5ftg currently available at 1.95

  26. Neal 11 years ago

Good day guys, first thank you Mr. Fix for that super home acc yesterday.. i have just removed inverness in it. But the essential is there. it is to win.

There’s a game today Zimbabwe vs Mauritius. First let me tell you that I’m Mauritian. And i can assure you that Mauritian football is in total crisis and is in to be revised in all depts.

There’s been some years now that the local team is in decline. They walked out against Namibia in WC qualifiers due to lack of funding and lack of support from the ministry.. and don’t believe Mtius dont have the resources it just because There’s a complete loss of faith in the national team

There’s only one popular bookie online offering odds on this match and in my country there’s no bookies presenting odds on this one.

It’s a real gift! Zimbabwe to score over 2.5 goals is at 3.25 is a present! take it. Down the years Zimbabwe has been able to beat the likes of Mali, Angola and Zambia all good African teams.

Take also zimbabwe to score over 3.5 goals at 7.00. There’s a real chance for that too. You don’t need luck on this one.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Neal, thanks for the info and hopefully you’ve called this one spot on.

    • The UHT 11 years ago

Neal – I’m trusting you here! I’ve got decent nibbles on the total goal markets of O3.5 12/5, O4.5 11/2 and O5.5 14/1. If Mauritius are as bad as Hibs, I may be in luck!

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Anyone got a score source other than Flashscores for the Zimbabwe fixture? Flashcores might be fine, but not sure how up to date it is?

What Neal didn`t mention in this game it is that this is a 2nd leg with Z already leading 3-0 on agg – so perhaps they might not field the best side or have low motivation

    • macca the red 11 years ago

its an international so there won,t be a hatful of goals

  27. Richard 11 years ago

    Swiss Super League

    Thun vs Aarau at 12.45

Although the league is only 3 games old both teams have been involved in plenty of high scoring matches so far. Each of Thun’s 3 games has finished 3-2 (2 losses, one win) while Aarau’s have featured 4/6/6 in terms of goals.

They both score as many as they concede so this game should have goals in it

    Over 1.5fhg 2.50
    Over 3.5 ftg 2.425

    Bonkers bet 3-2 Thun 21.0

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Richard, looks a good shout, I’ll maybe add it to my treble.

  28. James 11 years ago

Aktobe play Vostok in the Kazakhstan premier league, Aktobe are running away with the league. Not worth betting on them as a single but certainly worth throwing into an acca!

  29. angel dust 11 years ago

    bondby-esbjerg 1,ferencvaros-videoton 1 double

  30. Telmo 11 years ago

whats the general thoughts on the st johnstone hearts game ? i see u said uv commented earlier on it MR F but i couldnt find it sorry.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Telmo, very briefly I’d take St Johnstone if they hadn’t played in Minsk last week and of course have a big second-leg tie on Thursday. They will have one eye on that game. Hearts start with -15 points and a transfer ban but their strongest 11 isn’t too bad and until they start losing players through bans and injuries they should compete OK. I could see Hearts getting a point if Saints are not fully focused.

  31. JAMES GAULT 11 years ago

THANKS for the start mr f with your homes, covered them and always do an acca on them every week, also with the unpredictable nature of opening weekends I did some btts lines,on somejust missed by one team but also done an interesting line with Hills, btts in the first half only, put 50p on four teams and all came in for £270.83,some return for that and know betted small amount but shows the returns you can get,you get 4/1 on this market so what about trying out a four team first half btts as great odds.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Jams, was in a Hills shop earlier and asked how they got on yesterday. He said: “We got hammered”. And he added: “Which is good”. Must have been the shop you were in!

  32. The UHT 11 years ago

Mr F – I went with the Super Single AND the Euro treble! DOH! Those 90+ minute goals!! My big bets yesterday were all on GOALS in Forest v Huddersfield!

    I had a STINKER. ;-)

Brilliant day for you and the site, though. I’m still scratching my head at John’s comment.

Will definitely be on Derby and Malmo today. I can’t bet against the Hibees. If it had been anybody else…

Also really like Richard’s BTTS there.

I have a Dutch double in the Eredivisie on offer at 11.30.

Utrecht are playing Go Ahead Eagles, who came up through the play-offs ahead of the Jupiler’s front-runners, Volendam – a better side – and they will struggle in this company. utrecht had a bad start to the season in Europe, losing to Differdange, but the tie came too early. Their home class is in last season’s record: W11 D3 L3

    Home win is skimpy 11/20

Cambuur were a machine at home last season in the Jupiler, and now promoted as champs are playing a bottom half side Breda whose away record last season was W3 D5 L9

Home win is odds against 11/10

    The double pays at 3.25

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

The UHT, I too was surprised by lack of goals at Forest but of course just backed the Forest win. The Utrecht one is interesting. They should win but conceding six goals in two legs to Differdange was shocking. For that reason I like both to score on this one.

  33. JAMES GAULT 11 years ago

Just to udate my last post,I mean btts on four games in first half.

  34. 1plus2 11 years ago

Motherwell looks like a solid super single Mr F see they are backed into 5/4 now so a few people must agree as well m8

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

1plus2, I hope so. Hibs’ displays against Malmo and a lack of goals suggest a Well win but nothing’s guaranteed with a league opener. I still like the look of Derby but the Racing Post have made a strong case for Blackburn and that’s their headline tip today. So anyone with doubts about putting Derby on the treble should maybe look at someone like Bruges at Oostende. Derby are a big price for my treble so we’ll see what happens.

  35. Tony 11 years ago

A seen that in hills James u must a picked good for that return well in. A should have tried that one. Give it a go next week

  36. Madi 11 years ago

I’ve just googled that game and it seems it’s the second leg of African national championship qualifiers of which Zimbabwe won the first leg 3-0. I doubt you will see many goals as the job is done. Possibly 2-0 Zimbabwe

    • Zammo 11 years ago

      Indeed.

Seems strange that Neal would not mention that, as he clearly gave the impression he was knowledgeable about the fixture/African football.

  37. Cmk 11 years ago

Hi lads, great site mr F, love it.

I have been having a look at German cup football today, game that caught my eye is Saarbrucken v Werder Bremen. Saarbrucken are in awful form, just got beat by a team in their league 5-1(3rd tier of German fooball?).

Bremen -1 is 2.15 and I’m tempted by this or -2.

    Any info?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Cmk, when the season is back in full season I don’t really look at these kind of games. This depends on what teams Werder Bremen put out. Saarbrucken games always seem to go over 2.5 so that would be my call. But of course the odds will be short so you might need to look at over 3.5.

  38. James 11 years ago

Copenhagen at home to randers is 11/20, must be worth a shout?

  39. Mr H 11 years ago

James I’ve took Copenhagen along withMotherwell and Derby. Randers played Thursday in a European tie too and Copenhagen were resting, should be a comfortable home win

  40. Richard 11 years ago

    Ive taken a similar line

    Motherwell
    Derby
    St johnstone draw
    Copenhagen -1

    Pays about 30-1

  41. thechief 11 years ago

Joe cheers mate well done on the five fold, I had joked on Friday I may do a 9 fold as I was trying to whittle down my selections, Aberdeen, Ict and Rochdale were on the list but Millwall would have bust it.

UHT I fancied goals in that forest game too and the stats backed it up that was the only disappointment yesturday on an otherwise profitable day.

James congrats that some nice profit made, me personally I like the Btts as it last for 90mins so if one team is letting down my acca or single is losing, I still got my Btts to cling too.

    • The Dane 11 years ago

Tony – I have the “advantage” of seeing their matches either live or on tv and Brondby are very poor. Five years ago you would have gotten no more than 1,30 on Brondby but the best of luck to one of us today. Let’s hope it’s not a draw :-)

  51. Madi 11 years ago

A bet I’m liking alot is jordon Rhodes to score. He’s scored in his last three games vs derby and in two of those it was first goal

Some great odds aswell-anytime gs he’s 13/10 and fgs 9/2

Madi, Rhodes always has a chance and of course takes the pens.

  60. The UHT 11 years ago

Looking good for goals in Zimbabwe, Neal. 0-0 after 36 mins.

Maybe the Zimbabwe players took their lead from yesterday’s re-election of Robert Mugabe. “We only have to turn up to win by a landslide”.

Anyway, I like to take a flier every so often. Unfortunately, this one’s still taxi-ing around the airport.

    ;-)

  61. Horsing Around 11 years ago

This my fifth super single I’ve bet on – never won one. Will Motherwell break the jinx?

One thing that would improve it (if I may be so bold) would be to display the time/date on each comment

Zammo, we’ll bear it in mind but the regulars know we’re making big changes to the site later this month.

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Look forward to it. Great website as it is.

  67. Homicide 11 years ago

    Finally motherwell

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Homicide, pleased with that and it did take some time. Been speaking to a contact of mine who watched Hearts’ pre-season game in Ireland and he reckons they’re poor and will be all over St Johnstone and St Johnstone -1. Earlier I commented I was worried about how their Europa League run would affect them but he says if they’re in the mood at all they’ll win against a side that’s too inexperienced in his eyes.

  68. jamesy 11 years ago

    theres the motherwell goal!!!

  69. Madi 11 years ago

Neal how come you didn’t mention the Zimbabwe game was the second leg and the tie is over with Zimbabwe winning 3-0?

  71. Madi 11 years ago

We along the same lines here zammo! I googled the game and posted that it was the second leg and the tie was over

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Just seems odd that it wasn`t mentioned considering his nationality and awareness of the game.

Gambling is all about considering the variables and a really big variable in this bet would be that Zimbabwe already lead 3-0 from the away fixture.

Even if he had said, Z alread lead 3-0 but I still feel they will rack up the goals in this one, the caveat would have been there.

  72. Madi 11 years ago

    Bbc says 3-0 last week

  73. Madi 11 years ago

He tipped Zimbabwe over 3.5 goals also to go over 4.5 and 5.5 hmmmm

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Madi, so he was slightly out. I don’t know why he didn’t mention the second leg but remember he’s a punter like everyone else and all tips posted comments have to be looked at it and not taken as red. I usually just do my own tips but there are some guys on here such as Greg, Sly, The Chief, The Dane etc who are pretty reliable.

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Anyone making a bet is solely responsible for their own betting and I have no gripes with anyone for losing at bet that I make.

However, even if his tip comes in, I’d still say it was strange that he didn`t mention the first leg given the detail he goes into and his stated knowledge of the fixture.

      Added to this, him saying:

“It’s a real gift! Zimbabwe to score over 2.5 goals is a 3.25 is a present! take it.”

I think opens you up to criticism as we all know there’s nothing which is given in betting.

Even if his bet comes in, I’d still say Neal was wrong for not mentioning the first leg and for URGING people to take his bet and saying it was a gift/present.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Zammo, in the past some people have put up tips saying “put your house on it” and “put your life one it”. I never use those terms and even hate the word “banker” as anything can happen.

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Ha – I suppose any of those terms should make anyone give it a swerve.

I don’t want come across as Mary Whitehouse or summat but when people use those sort of phrases I worry for those who are desperate/easily led.

Here are a few stats for the Derby Blackburn game.

Blackburn Rovers have won four and lost none (D1) of their last five competitive games against Derby County.

Jordan Rhodes scored in all three of his competitive appearances for Blackburn Rovers against Derby County in 2012-13.

Rhodes scored 49% of Blackburn’s goals in the Championship in 2012-13; a higher proportion than any other player for their side.

Derby have lost their opening league game of the season in just one of their last eight campaigns (W3 D4 L1).

Only relegated Bristol City (6) kept fewer clean sheets than Derby County (8) in the Championship last season.

Only relegated Peterborough (13.6) faced more shots per game on average in the Championship in 2012-13 than Blackburn Rovers (12.1).

Nigel Clough will have been in charge of Derby County for four years and 208 days on the date of this game; the current longest serving manager in the Championship.

Rovers new boy DJ Campbell has scored 44 goals in his 133 matches in his Championship career.

Last season, Blackburn had a shooting accuracy of 43.32%, the fourth lowest in the Championship.

Bear in mind DJ Campbell is sidelined with an injury

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

1plus2, what’s the verdict then? As I said earlier Racing Post have gone big on Rovers. To me Derby are strong at home but Rhodes is always good for a goal. Starting to look like a btts game to be honest.

    • 1plus2 11 years ago

Yeah Mr F the btts is looking a good punt tbh and as you say Derby are pretty good at home as well, i got stung a few times with Derby over the past and i am probably going to shy away from betting outright winner but might have a dabble on btts or time of 1st team goal.

  75. Madi 11 years ago

I’ve gone with Rhodes fgs and Rhodes anytime

  76. j 11 years ago

Is over 2.5 a risk in the derby game? I think both Will score?

Big thanks for the super single.

    • Sean Ireland 11 years ago

J…I too have gone for over 2.5 in the derby Blackburn game, did it along with mr f’s motherwell, malmo and standard liege, just didn’t fancy calling a winner in the championship game and the evens on the overs was appealing.

  77. The UHT 11 years ago

Madi – Neal tipped Zimbabwe to stroll it, and I thought: great, sounds a real goer for Overs. I went with the O3.5/4.5/5.5.

I think Neal could probably have done to tell us the first leg score – or that it was a second leg of a tie that had already been done and dusted away from home.

I was going out at lunch and didn’t check anything – I liked the ‘sting’ of his inside info.

I’m not liking the sting so much now. ;-)

  78. Madi 11 years ago

Slightly out?? He tipped over 3.5 Zimbabwe goals also over 4.5 and also 5.5. It’s 0-0 with 66 mins played. I don’t call that slightly out. Surely being Mauritian he would have known they lost the first leg 3-0 last week and the games over. Why not mention that? I see the uht was taken in by it.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Madi, for us Scots “slightly out” is a term we quite often use ironically.

  79. dave 11 years ago

Similar to ur 2 calls of over 3.5 goals in the Chile games. 1-0 & 1-1 wasn’t it? Lol

  80. Madi 11 years ago

Lol I don’t advise going big on those. I’ve mentioned them 4 times on here and twice it’s come in and twice it hasn’t. I have never said I’m 100% in it and its just a hunch.

  81. Madi 11 years ago

And I didn’t urge people to get on Universidad like Neal did. So not really similar Dave

  82. J 11 years ago

Rhodes looks like a good bet. Cheers madi

  83. J 11 years ago

    Cheers Sean

  84. The UHT 11 years ago

Madi – I’m sure Neal put the tip up in good faith, and maybe thought the 3-0 advantage Zimbabwe already held wouldn’t affect their attitude to go out and knock in another six.

I agree 100% with Zammo’s take on it. It’s our own fault – but perhaps we’ve got used to people on here tending to know what they’re talking about or giving the full picture for their reasoning.

Anyway, you have to just take it on the chin, and say: OK, I was sold a pup, I learn from this.

    I’m chuckling, though.

    “It’s a gift/present”!

Sure was. From us to Mr Chandler/Coral/Hill!

    ;-)

  85. Madi 11 years ago

Yes ok but why not mention it’s the second leg? I bet you didn’t no it was. People are always putting up tips but you need to put up all the info that goes with it, especially if your super confident in it as he was

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Madi, I never looked at the game. People are free to post comments, it’s up to users to judge if the comment is worthwhile or not.

  86. Zammo 11 years ago

I do think that on a betting website the language used by Neal (no doubt used in all innocence) should be condemned as nothing is a present, nothing is 100% and nothing worth betting on is a cert.

I’d still say this even if his bet came in as even though this is a betting webiste, caution should be urged, especially in this day and age

  87. Madi 11 years ago

Yeah and that’s fair enough mr fix it. Every bet I take from yourself or sly/Greg Etc and it’s loses I’ve never said a bad word to yous as I put the bet on willing and their was sound reasoning to it

  88. reddy 11 years ago

mr.F..rapid vienna are a man down..can they still score to get the btts bet?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

reddy, odds stacked against Rapid but teams do score with 10 men. Notts County did it against Sheffield Utd for example.

  89. TimHenman 11 years ago

Galata is without Drogba and Sneijder…. Bulut and Elmander in forward but these 2 are most uncreative players in front up…. Cazorlo, Chamberlain and Arteta is in starting line up for Arsenal…. Arsenal to score first lokks good but only concern is Sanogo is playing instead of Giroud and price is relatively low….

  90. Danny 11 years ago

Bulut anytime goal scorer 11/4 looks a great price before he got injured last season he was lethal at times infront of goal price is various

  91. TimHenman 11 years ago

    Sanogo really bullshit :/

  92. neal 11 years ago

Am sorry guys.. lost of bucks too :(

    • Zammo 11 years ago

No worries from me Neal, it happens. Just wondered why you didn’t mention it was the 2nd leg – unless of course, you didn`t know that.

Also, personally, I don`t think you should write that bets are a “gift” or a “present” as nothing is certain that is worth betting on. Maybe English isn`t your first language though and these words could be lost in translation.

Funny thing though, that I simply bet on Zimbabwe to win rather than O2.5/O3.5. I checked the score on Flashscore and it said that the game had finished 1-0 to Zimbabwe.

Only for me to check back ten mins later for to have updated again to 1-1. Hrmmph!..

At least Neal, you had the guts to come back on. Fairplay and good luck to you.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Zammo, when I looked it was 2-0 so strange.

    • Zammo 11 years ago

Weird – seems that you can’t trust full times scores anymore since James Alexander Gordon has retired.

  93. 1plus2 11 years ago

Never took the Derby tip Mr F 1-0 up so far but did take St Johnstone in play b4 they scored @ 23/20 so that makes up for it.

  94. neal 11 years ago

Rpbert Mugabe just won the presidency today.. it would have changed all my facts. :/

  95. The UHT 11 years ago

Neal – no worries! I always take people posting on here to be in good faith, and I don’t doubt that everything you said about the state of mind of the Mauritius national side was right. The devil is always in the detail, though, and it’s a pity that what would have been useful information wasn’t mentioned.

That said, every person has to check their own bets – you held no gun to my head – and that’s my responsibility to myself and no-one else. A mushroom omelette was calling me in the cafe along the road, as was Mrs UHT, so, I went with your tip.

I went for the big odds, so, only one unit each – no great harm done – it was a punt that looked a bit inspired.

It was a good mushroom omelette, by the way. But quite an expensive one. Left me with a bit of egg on my chin, too…

    ;-)

  100. MrT 11 years ago

    Lanús v Belgrano – Sunday 20:00

Lanús have been in the championship mix for the last couple of seasons and that should be the case again this year.

Lautaro Acosta and Santiago Silva have arrived from Boca Juniors to strengthen an already impressive squad, and although the loss of Mario Regueiro and Guido Pizarro will be felt in that midfield, they will be there or thereabouts once more.

He is unlikely to start the opener, but the arrival of Lucas Melano is an exciting move, and the young forward will still be hoping to feature and debut against his former club, Belgrano.

The Cordobés outfit have one of the most underrated managers in the country and have consistently punched above their weight since being promoted in dramatic circumstances in 2011.

Some good signings have made their frontline far more potent for the upcoming campaign, but none of these are set to start at Lanús and the hosts should have enough to win this.

Recommended Bet: Back Lanús at 1.865/6

3rd place Cartagena take on 3rd bottom Rojo. Cartagena have had 11 goals in their 2 home games so far this season and Rojo have had 6 goals in their 2 away games so far this season.

Cartagena 2-0 up at half time and with 13 shots in the first half the other bets are looking good – hope some of you got on.

  120. Tom 11 years ago

what does everyone think of this as a treble, vasco da gama v botafogo, AC Milan v Chelsea overs and Vitoria v Portuguesa btts? would like another opinion, cheers lads

  121. Richard 11 years ago

Sorry Tom btts is not a bet I usually do but I would say btts would have lost in 3 of the last 4 games between Vasco and Botafogo.

Against this Botafogo have scored in all 5 away games this season and Vasco in all but 1 one of their 5 home games but I’m not convinced.

Im actually looking at a double of Vasco and Vitoria. Brazilian football is definitely skewed towards home wins and Vasco have won 3 from 5 at home while Botafogo have won only one of 5 away games. Vitoria are unbeaten at home while Vitoria have yet to win in 5 away games.

    Home double pays about 11/2

Emelec look a good price on current form but I think the odds are so high as the last 5 times this fixture have been played Barcelona have won 3 and drawn 2 and the last 2 games have seen them score 7 without reply

  126. James 11 years ago

Yeah Richard just seen that. I think 1plus2 makes a good shout. Draw no bet is a good idea I think.
