OUT of three tips out up I had to settle for a Top Treble winner at just over 2-1 thanks to Steaua Bucharest, Apoel and Zenit St Petersburg.
I had high hopes for the Super Single after Red Bull stormed into an early 2-0 lead against Qarabag but took their foot of the gas and settled for the one-goal aggregate success.
I expected Celtic to out against Legia Warsaw but not as tamely as they did. To lose 6-1 on aggregate is embarrassing but understandable with Ronny Deila still finding his feet and the board not giving him funds to strengthen.
So Celtic head into the final round of the Europa qualifiers where fellow Scots Aberdeen and St Johnstone would love to be but both face titanic tasks after first-leg losses.
Aberdeen knew they were up against it from the off and did okay just to lose 2-0 away to Real Sociedad. The Spaniards are still ring rusty so the Dons might give themselves some chance in front of a full house if they score first.
The Dons are 19-4 with bet365 to win tonight for anyone who fancies them with the draw 3-1 at McBookie and Real a bit short at 7-10 with William Hill considering they don't need to win.
Derek McInnes's men are 8-15 at Paddy Power to net and best bet could be both to score at 10-11 with Coral.
Aberdeen are 11-5 with bet365 to score first and Adam Rooney, with five Euro strikes so far, is 5-2 at Betfred to net at any time.
Saints also need to net at least two away to Spartak Trnava after losing 2-1 at home. The Perth men should have Stevie May back for possibly his last game before joining Rotherham but netted just 13 goals away from home in the league last season.
The Scots are as big as 11-2 at Betfred to win tonight and 9-1 to qualify but I'll be on Spartak at 8-15 with Betfred.
Saints are 4-1 at Skybet to score two or more and May is 15-2 at William Hill to break the deadlock.
As everyone knows the Europa League is a bit of minefield and I'm risking much of my betting bet ahead of a big weekend.
Hull – and Tom Huddlestone with his penalty miss – let us down last week but should beat Trencin after a 0-0 draw away from home. There should be a decent atmosphere at the KC Stadium for City's first home European tie and they are a best 1-2 at Coral.
Start the Top Treble with Hull and add Molde at home to Zorya. Molde bagged a draw in Ukraine with a late equaliser and have now gone 23 games unbeaten stretching back to April.
It's not an easy tie for them but the Norwegians are supremely confident and in the last round beat Gorica 4-1 in front of their home fans.
For anyone happy with a 6-4 treble add Viktoria Plzen at home to Petrolul after a 1-1 draw away but I'm risking Rio Ave at a best 4-5 with Coral at home to Gothenburg.
The Portuguese side weren't surprise winners in Sweden and should take care of a side who have lost their last three games without scoring. I know Rio don't have to win but a 1-0 lead is precarious and I expect them to increase their advantage against a side out of sorts.
I've had a good look at the Europa League games and picked out three matches that look good for both teams to score and advise a Trixie.
First up take FH of Iceland v Elfsborg who won 4-1 at home. FH have netted 12 goals in six games while Elfsborg's last away game was a 4-2 win at Norrkoping.
Add Hajduk Split v Shakhter Karagandy which was 4-2 to the Kazakhs last week. We all know Shakhter aren't as good away and while they'll be fighting to stay alive I can see both teams score.
Comnplete the treble with Shakhtor v Zulte. There were goals galore in this one last week with the Belgians winning 5-2 so is it too much to ask for a 1-1 draw at worst.

JT -There have to be many safer options than a 9 fold ( I find trebles hard enough) – but that’s why you get the odds of 820/1. The Torino and Lyon games seem the most doubtful to me. Good Luck.

Followed Rangers financial issues very closely in the last few years. Meltdown again coming soon. NO credit facilities, No willing investment, No way the silent investors are selling up…. Should have went down the admin route again late last season as promotion would be unnaffected but the main players banked on a share issue though, and no one is touching them in the city. Can’ t see how they can keep the lights on this season.

Their huge support base is all the club have in their favour and don’t underestimate that. Mr f was at murray field tonight, worst I’ve seen them since mowbary to be honest, kinda reeked of that st mirren game few years back when everyone just seemed to give up before they had even begun. Tactics and team selection pretty baffling as well, keeping possession constantly in our own half with stokes up front on his own? Why not have a go? They will be lucky to get into Europa in my opinion, although parkhead factor should help them out

Hills are offering Hearts to win the Championship at 7/2 with a third of the odds 1-2 which is very decent.
Very possible Raal especially if The Rangers have more financial woes this season
andy, all my posts are betting related and not digs at Rangers. They are losing around £600,000 a month, that is fact, and have no credit facilities. Will they survive financially without a very large cash injection? Answer is no so given they are split right down the middle with warring between the supporters and directors etc would you back them to win this league? I wouldn’t touch them with somebody elses money mate as I do see them quite possibly hitting a second administration. Even without going into admin etc I still think Hearts can run them very close.
Agreed raal, seems very much possible, seen hearts a couple times this pre season and have to say im impressed and that’s coming from a hibee. So all the best for the coming season.

WIth 365 in the season handicap winner betting Chelsea are 15/1 for a +0 handicap. To win outright they are 15/8. Surely these are exactly the same bets unless there is a points tie at the end of the season? Thinking about it even then if they finish top on GD it would still be a winner on the handicap?

Naft Tehran are at home and are seeing a lot of money, 4/9 in places. The bet is at very decent odds and seems to rely on Rah Ahan being able to score. 5 of the last 6 have seen BTTS between these sides and for some afternoon entertainment it is worth probably half a normal stake due to the limited knowledge we have of the country. BTTS is not uncommon in this league so no harm in a small wager. Naft Tehran are 3/1 to win with BTTS, Paddy Power, but at 11/8 I will stick with the original bet.

Hajdut dominated the first leg away in Kazakhstan despite going down 4-2 and after recording their first win of the season at the weekend, they should be confident of turning the tie around and more importantly they need to win by at least 2 goals, which is always good for the HC. S.Karagandy are strong at home but haven’t been too clever on their Euro travels.
The -1 is too good to ignore for me at 13/8.

nudger, that’s the rules. The computer will judge if bet was placed on time but you’d think the shop would have warned him it might be too late. On this subject why is it people leave it so late to put on a bet? Prices can change either way but I’m always amazed by the number of people scrambling to the front of the queue to get on a horse or dog that’s about to race.

The bet is at very decent odds and seems to rely on Rah Ahan being able to score. 5 of the last 6 have seen BTTS between these sides and for some afternoon entertainment it is worth probably half a normal stake due to the limited knowledge we have of the country. BTTS is not uncommon in this league so no harm in a small wager. Naft Tehran are 3/1 to win with BTTS, Paddy Power, but at 11/8 I will stick with the original bet.

I have noticed lately that apart from the original price people are saying they got odds of etc etc etc and yourself got 14/1 today as well as 11/8.
Does this mean that you would suggest waiting for bigger odds as well as putting on at the original odds.
Maybe waiting for bigger odds for small stakes ? also personally at what stage would you suggest to let it run until you go for the bigger odds m8 ?
Punting For Fun, backing inplay can bring great rewards but there are the same risks. The two from raaljaca needed late goals to bring up btts and the longer it goes the better the price will be but you’ll get more losers than winners backing a side to score late on. Also the price inplay can obviously drop and never recover if for example the underdogs score first. If possible watch the game or at least follow the stats and you can get a feel of what might happen.

Middlesborough to get promoted for me 6/1- new manager (Karanka) came in last season and did well in the run in. Good squad of players which has been added to by the signings of Chelsea youngster Omeruo the permanent signing of Tomlin ( a couple of a few.) Williams, Friend, Ayala (defence) Leadbitter, Adomah, Butterfield (midfield) Kamara and Ledesma (attack) are all good strong championship players.

raal- how highly do you rate Craig Gordan? I know he’s had his injuries but I rate him and followed him closely during his time at Hearts and Sunderland. Surely if it had not been for those injuries he’d have a lot more than his current 40 caps for Scotland.

I know there were a few eyebrows raised when Keane spent all that money on him but if it hadnt been for some pretty hard luck he could have turned out to be Keanes best ever buy as a manager. Haha. I’m a long long way from being the best I’ve still got a lot to learn. Its always good to set yourself goals though and aim to be better or achieve more. Everyone loves posting a winner though including myself while hoping and preying its not your last! Of course I like to help people and the site in general and always try and respond to people in a nice friendly manner. I suppose I’m just very competitive and I support Liverpool- which doesn’t help?!! :)

It’s nice if you think that mate but I wouldn’t put myself in that bracket and doubt I will get to that kind of level. Its all about sticking to a high level of winners and though sometimes I get to good level I’m never consistent enough. I still make silly mistakes but like I say I’m still learning. If I ever come across like I have a swollen head forgive me, maybe there’s a fine line between competive Shaun & a**ehole Shaun! Haha. Hopefully people see I’ve got good intentions. :)
