IT'S the moment of truth for Mo Farah today as he bids to complete the “triple double” at the World Championships in Beijing.

The British long-distance legend has won the 5000 and 10,000m double at the 2012 Olympics and 2013 Worlds and has already added the 10,000m in Beijing.

All that's missing is the 5000m and he's hot favourite to complete the unique achievement with Boylesports currently best price at 2-7.

Another Brit going for gold is Shelayna Oskan-Clarke in the women's 800m final but she's a 33-1 outside at the likes of William Hill while Usain Bolt chases his third gold of the Championships in the 100m relay final where the Jamaicans are 13-10 at bwin behind favourites USA (8-11, Skybet).

There's darts action this morning to get the day under way with quarter-finals from the Auckland Masters and other sporting highlights include international rugby union, the rugby league Challenge Cup Final and snooker's Paul Hunter Classic.

Let's hear your tips and thoughts on a packed day of action and good luck with your bets.

Challenge Cup Final Leeds Rhinos v Hull KR

The first trophy of the season will be decided at Wembley this afternoon and history will be made as these two sides meet for the first time ever in the Challenge Cup Final. There will be over 79,000 fans at Wembley to watch the defending Cup holders the Rhinos, face the suprise package of the competition the Robins. Leeds are the 1/5 favourites but Hull KR have beaten Wigan and Warrington en route to the final and deserve their place.

Hull KR will be in their first final for 29 years as Chris Chester’s side look to lift the cup for the first time since 1980, their only cup triumph. Leeds are looking to win the cup back to back having lost their previous six finals since they won it 1999. If Leeds lose on Saturday they will set a new record of final defeats. Kyle Leuluai, Jamie Peacock and Kevin Sinfield will be playing in their last cup final with the Rhinos.

For Hull KR to pull this off they need to play a near perfect game. They must start well last year Castleford went in as underdogs against the Rhinos and started poorly, Leeds got on top and in reality they cruised to final whistle. The Robins must start well and they do have points in them with Sio, Mantello, Dixon and Kelly all in double figures for tries this season. The build up as been all about Hull KR star man Albert Kelly and weather he will play or not. He was named in the 19 man squad. I personally think he starts and it is worth the risk. If the Robins are to win they will need their forwards to lay the platform and allow Kelly to control the game like he did against Warrington in the Semi final. I have big reservations on how fit Kelly really is going into this match, i doubt he is anywhere near 100% and i think win or lose this will be his last game of the season.

For Leeds, I think they burried a few ghost’s beating Castleford in last years final, having lost in the final on their previous six occasions. They go in as favourites, but also as being the best side in super league. They have the big game experience, they have won the last 5 finals they contested in the Super League Grand Final, they know how to win. Brian McDermott’s side have played some outstanding rugby this season, they top the charts in points scored. The weather is going to be good and the big wide pitch at Wembley suits the Rhino’s off loading game down to a tee. I have spoken many times when previewing Leeds games they have the best backline in Super league and I cant see anything but a Leeds win. They are too short at 1/5 but last season’s cup final hero Ryan Hall is 13/10 to score and Leeds to win the cup at William Hill.

The Lance Todd Trophy is the prestigious award for the man of the match, and I like a small stake for a big reward but I do think Kevin Sinfield could be a worthy favourite. He has won the Harry Sunderland award twice at Old Trafford and with this being his last chance to get hold off the Lance Todd, he may get the nod. I believe he would have got it last year as he literally kicked the Castleford Tigers to death constantly forcing them to return the ball from deep on their own try line. Ryan Hall got the award because he grabbed a hat-trick and with Sinfield starting at hooker i am splitting my stake. The man they call Sir Kev is Skybet price boost at 5/1

My other selection was down to Jamie Peacock, Zak Hardaker and Kallum Watkins. JP making his last ever appearance in a final may get a sentimental vote, while Hardaker has been one of the best players in the league and will be unlucky if he doesnt get the nod to face the kiwis at the end of the season. I just think Kallum Watkins could run riot at Wembley, the big pitch means the Robins defence cant afford to miss a one on one. Watkins for me is the best Centre in the Super league, he has the speed and skill to expose the Robins out wide and if he scores 2 or maybe 3, sentiment aside he will be right in the running to grab the award. He is 10/1 Skybet.

In the anytime market any of the Leeds backline can score but for a bit of value I am taking Carl Ablett at 11/4 Ladbrokes. For Hull KR i fancy the winger Ken Sio to score, he has scored 4 tries in 4 challenge cup games, he is 9/4 Skybet. Kallum Watkins is 1/1 at Skybet and i think he could be in for a big game so for me, that looks good.

Greetings one and all. I’ve been busy all week so haven’t had my head in the tennis or betting game, but I’ll be on here sometime today with my US open tips. Plenty of upsets and underdogs to get behind!

The years last grandslam is here. lets see what we can come up with!

    Womens:

    outright:
top pick- simona halep @ 13./1
    secondary- bencic @ 25/1 wozniaki @ 35/1

yes i would have doubled my money at the last three slams if i’d backed Serena, but i really don’t like taking even money punts on grand slam winners. Serena has had a nagging elbow problem recently and showed some shocking form at times when i’ve seen her recently, despite eventually winning most of those matches below her best.

Halep is in excellent form this hard court swing, and has a pretty cushty draw all things considered. assuming shes fit and playing decent tennis, I dont see her losing before the final. therefore I’m obviously taking her over Serena, who is actually in a pretty tough quarter with keys, bencic, stephens and others lurking nearby.

Bencic and Wozniaki both enjoyed great runs at this tournament last year, and bencic has come on a lot as a player since then. her recent form is very good (she beat serena as we all know) and many other top ten players on the way to an impressive title.

Wozniakis recent form is far from good, but she managed to notch a few decent wins last week and she has a good chance to play her way into form here. I don’t expect her to go all the way, but it’s a decent price for someone with her history of success here, and worth a few bob.

    First round picks:
    Tomljanovic d Knapp @ 2/1
    Cibulkova d Ivanovic @ 9/4

    Mens

    Outright:
    Federer @ 9/2
    Cilic @ 90/1

Djokovic is naturally the big favourite here, with Murray and Federer teh same price as second favourites. Given Roger’s mastery of Murray lately, and his recent title and win over Novak, he is the obvious choice of the two. He looked like he was going to lift the title last year before being stunned, like a fair number of others, by the red hot marin cilic. His draw looks good and I expect to see him taking to the court come finals day.

Cilic has struggled to replicate the form he showed when winning the title here last year from completely out of the blue. but at 90/1, it seems like a gamble worth taking that he hits a hot streak again on ground he must be very happy on.

    first round:
    zverev d kohlschreiber @ 2/1
    krajicek d giraldo @ 23/10
    young d simon @ 3/1
    coric d nadal @ 4/1

i will post an acca or two of favourites in due course.

good luck folks, will be interested to hear who everyone fancies this fortnight.
