JOHNB'S nap today was well beaten and the NB a non-runner but he put up Space Age instead at 2-1 and it won.
For Thursday he's advising something different – nap single and NB double with Yuften on both bets.
On debut Yuften was second beaten a neck by Barley Mow at Newbury & that's good form for a first run. Then came a hot maiden at Newmarket when Yuften was third beaten by Mitraad & Baarez which now looks a good maiden & the winner Mitraad is one horse I am waiting to run again. Yuften beat a lot of good horses that day.
Next came another maiden at Newmarket & Yuften won this time by seven lengths. Up next was Royal Ascot when Yuften was running in the Group one St James’s Palace Stakes. Kingman won that race but Yuften ran a good fourth beaten four & three quarter lengths by an inform Kingman but Yuften was in front of Toormore that day.
Last time out Yuften was taken to France for another Group One in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly. Yuften was fourth beaten a length by the winner Charm Spirit & again that is excellent form.
Today Yuften takes a step down to Group three & there are some good horses in this race but Yuften is better than good & on form he is far better than these. We also have Andrea Atzeni on today & he is fast becoming one of my favourite jockeys after an excellent season. We don't need any rain for Yuften as this horse is good on any ground but any rain would be in Yuften’s favour.”
Johnb says: “Also on Thursday we have a charity race at Leopardstown. It's over two furlongs and it's Pat Smullen on a Dermot Weld horse against Nicolas Roache on a bike. Smullen is 1-4 with Paddy Power so anyone who wants to do my NB double with Smullen for a treble can get 8.38-1 at Paddy Power.
“If anyone wants to do a single on LYSINO in 6.40 Fontwell at 1-1 it's a good chance.”
Good luck everyone.
