JABLONEC made it a profitable day with a 4-0 away win for the Super Single on Monday – but the treble again hit the bar.

It wasn't a manic Monday and it's not a terrific Tuesday either with a handful of Under-21 matches and Conference games taking pride of place ahead of Wednesday's busy international card.

I've had a good look at the English Conference games and one that catches the eye is Kidderminster and I've picked them as my Super Single.

They just missed out on promotion last year and are determined to make amends this time around. Harriers started the season with a 3-1 win against Gateshead and head to Alfreton who they have beaten in four of their last five meetings – and by more than one goal.

Harriers boasted the best away record in the division last season with 13 victories and five draws from 23 outings so will be eyeing up three points here. They are odds on at 17-20 with Titanbet but as big as 23-20 with BetVictor.

I'm fairly confident about making it three Super Single wins on the spin but as far as the top treble goes I'd play this one for smaller stakes – simply because there's not much choice.

But where there is a Wil there's a way and I'm starting with the Swiss second tier outfit at home to Wohlen. Wil have started the season well with a draw then three consecutive wins and will go top of the Challenge League ahead of Schaffhausen and Vaduz with a victory tonight.

They face a Wohlen outfit who lie second bottom with two draws and two defeats from their opening four encounters. Wohlen were walloped 6-2 at Biel last time out and if they defend like that they could be on the end of a heavy defeat to a side who had a hat-trick hero in the shape of Adis Jahovic in their last game at Locarno – a 3-0 success.

The only thing that worries me here is Wohlen are unbeaten in four against Wil and won 3-0 at the Bergholz Stadium last season. However, Wil look to have pushed on and on the face of it seem a decent bet at 8-15 with Titanbet.

It's now back to the Conference with Luton at home to Salisbury. Luton are expected to challenge for promotion but started with a defeat at Southport. Promoted Salisbury lost at home to Tamworth and could take some time to find their feet at this level.

The sides have only met once recently and that was a 4-0 win for Luton. Back them at 8-15 with Titanbet.

To complete the treble I thought about Southport at a Hyde side who lost 8-0 at Forest Green on the opening day but you have to ask how much of that was down to an early red card. Lincoln are fanced at home to financially-stricken Macclesfield and Barnet are expected to go well at Tamworth.

However, I've settled on Grimsby who are being tipped to be in the promotion hunt after losing in the play-offs. The Mariners have strengthened and were superb on the road last season – losing just four times.

Starting with a draw against Aldershot bust a few coupons but they should go one better at a Gateshead side who were well beaten by Kidderminster in their opener. Take Grimsby at 11-8 with Titanbet.

Live on TV is England Under-21s v Scotland Under-21s at Bramall Lane but I can't make up my mind about the game. The English side looks stronger and more experienced and I wouldn't be surprised if Roy Hodgson's youngsters emerged winners at 4-7 with Coral.

However, the concensus seems to be that Scotland won't lose and I've even seen them tipped up at 6-1 with Betfred to win.

Scotland have lost just one of their last nine competitive games and won 2-1 in Holland but there are several new players in Billy Stark's side, including St Johnstone's Stevie May and some of the Hearts boys, and they could take time to adjust to this level of football.

At such short odds you'd want to make sure the likes of Raheem Sterling and Connor Wickham were in Hodgson's line-up though before having a punt on a side who flopped badly at the European Championship finals – going out in Turkey without winning a game.

So I might have another look once I see the teams or in-play if I get a chance to watch it.

Looking forward to the tips as always Mr F, had a profitable day as I put a fair amount on Jablonec and stayed away from the treble for some reason.

Just wanna point out as a Blade that its Bramall Lane (one M).
Jack Butland tweeted earlier and called it “Brammal Lane’ ha.

An interesting fact for you is that England have faced Scotland twice at Bramall Lane before and Scotland won both games, albeit that they were in 1883 and 1903 and they were the full international teams.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Clarkey, OK I’ll fix it. Interesting stat though. I think this is one to bet after seeing the teams but Scotland look quite inexperienced although they have goals in them with Tony Watt of course a decent player at this level.

  2. Titou 11 years ago

Roy Hodgson will be in charge for the game tonight

I’m speculating but I think hell go with

    ———Butland———
    Wisdom-Thorpe-Dier-Robinson
    ——–Chalobah———
    —-Barkley—Shelvey—-
    –Redmond——Sterling–
    ———Wickham———

    Subs
    S.Ameobi, H.Kane, Lingard, Carrol , Hughes, T.Kane, Stones, Berahino

can see them really wanting to impress the Boss I’m on

    England U21 @ 1.50

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Titou, that’s quite a powerful line-up. Scots boys will be full of enthusiasm but I fear England may be too strong.

  3. Clarkey 11 years ago

Titou, thats pretty much the starting XI I would have gone for but according to the papers here in Sheffield he’s going to give George Long a game with the match being played at the Lane.

I hope he does, the lad definitely deserves it, 19 years old and he kept the most clean sheets in the Football League last year in his debut season.

Women’s champions league at 9am. Usually good for goals. Any thoughts?

    • macca the red 11 years ago

metalurgs women are dreadful i don,t know the exact score from their last game in this comp,i think they lost about 13-0 or something

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

J, they were tipped for goals last week and some came through but I won’t be tipping anything there.

  6. ben lyle 11 years ago

Hi mr f, top tips as always last few days but i find im often getting 5 out of 6 and 3 out of 4 but the doubles and trebles are barely securing my stake back. I know you have probs explained this a million times but please could you explain perm 3 out of 4 etc..? Im baffled ! Cheers mate

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

ben, 3 from 4 is four trebles and one fourfold, only do it if the odds are at least evens or one wrong won’t cover your stake. Perms are better with longer odds. Why not do doubles and trebles and try to build a bigger pot so you can then stake higher.

  7. Hightower 11 years ago

Any tips for the match result and btts bets cause it seems to be getting a popular bet now due to better odds

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Hightower, I’ve already explained my feelings about these bets. Don’t be fooled by the better odds. You’re be asking to get three aspects of one game correct, including the winner scoring at least two goals. I tipped some of these last season and may revisit but it’s a bet for small stakes only.

  8. Luke 11 years ago

Mr.F, or anyone out there, I would appreciate your thoughts on the following:
I’m not to confident on the conference games this early in the season.

All double chance bets (Home or Draw)

    Gateshead
    Lincoln
    Braintree

    Pays £27 for £10

Was going to add in Kidderminster as double chance (Away or Draw) but unsure.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Luke, I’ll be putting up some tips having looked at the games. Kidderminster as I said last night are a candidate for the super single. I’d oppose Gateshead though but I wouldn’t claim to be a Conference expert either.

the dane do you have a profit ratio over 6 months? like your picks but never followed you

    • The Dane 11 years ago

smokeit34 – are in negative on this series but have recovered nearly €1000 since bad streak ended. Are in a positive and on “schedule” in 2013 in total on all series where the series with +6 matches in each set of bets are doing the best. The summer months have been worse than normal where the start of the year where fantastic.

      Good luck with your betting.

  23. smokeit34 11 years ago

Left it at o1.5 maybe put a small punt on over 4.5ftg only evens, will wait and see what the price is at half time. 10 mins for a goal to come in for you still hope ;)

  24. smokeit34 11 years ago

Cheers for reply the dane. Do you perm your selections or all singles?

    • The Dane 11 years ago

Smokeit34 – all singles on this series. Using Mr. Fixits treble in a series as a treble is an option as one bet differentiated with other bets.

      The Dane.

  25. Alex 11 years ago

Backed 1.5 FHG in the Peninsula game, as well as Peninsula -1 because of their excellent current away form (6 wins from 6). Gonna get on the Rochdale Rovers as well in a bit.

  26. Chrissy 11 years ago

Yeah only small stakes the 1.5 cover the bet so anything else is profit

  27. Mr. K 11 years ago

Btw Rochdale playing northstar who’ve conceded 50 goals in 18 games and are in the bottom 3. Rochdale are 4th

  28. smokeit34 11 years ago

  32. Alex 11 years ago

I’m thinking pretty similar to Mr K, with a -2 on Rochedale if the odds are decent, maybe a small punt on -3 and 5.5 FTG as well, we’ll see when it comes in-play.

  33. Alex Walker 11 years ago

A wee double for today luton-1 and england u21 -2. No prices. Good luck guys.

  39. Charlie 11 years ago

Based on past matches -2 should be okay, Rochdale have been winning 4-0, 5-0. Where as north star have been losing with similar results. Fingers crossed!

  47. TimHenman 11 years ago

Thanks Ryan… I think it was not a normal game due to enormous odds dropping before kickoff but wun is win… I have also realized orgryte price has drop down hugely just before kickoff so after red card assigned to Assyriska it was pretty good odds for Orgryte win as around 1.70 in live….

  48. Jack g 11 years ago

Woohoo :) wish I did over 3.5 ftg though!

  49. TimHenman 11 years ago

    My leanings for today are;

    Koln – Uerdingen over2.5
    Germany – France U21 over2.5
    Luton to win
    Nuneaton Double Chance
    England U21 to win -1AH
    Bamberg to win

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Tim, tough day so good luck. I’m not posting a btts treble simply because it’s day 2 of the Conference so no real form to look at. However, if anyone wanted a bet I’d take a chance on the teams that conceded eight and scored eight at the weekend. Hyde lost 8-0 to Forest Green so you have to imagine Southport will score while Hyde at home can net too. Forest Green will expect to find the target at Nuneaton but the hosts are likely to make it tough. And finally Braintree v Woking as Braintree games have a habit of producing goals.

  50. Blair R 11 years ago

looking for advice guys..betting on Luton–Wrexham–Kidderminster today.

The issue I have is that I dont know what bet to do a treble, doubles or a trixie. I know if get one of the doubles up I would get stake back. Looking for general advice and on what to do with the two away teams being evens.I tend to do dbls for security especially when including two away teams.

Cheers guys and good luck today.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Blair, only you can decide really. Are you more concerned about covering the bet or would you rather win a decent amount? Much depends on your stake as well.

  51. Mr H 11 years ago

Colombia look a stand out at 19/20 tomorrow at home too a poor travelling Serbia team. Anyone know if its in Colombia or on neutral ground?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Mr H, it’s in Barcelona. My geography is legendary and I’m pretty sure that’s not in Colombia.

  52. Alex 11 years ago

Peninsula Power -1 has put me right through the ringer this lunchtime. 2-1 after 82 mins, 3-1 after 85, 3-2 after 88 and now 4-2 on 91 mins, anymore goals and I’m going to have a heart attack!

  53. Chrissy 11 years ago

Alex lovely little flurry there i had match goals to 7.5.decent

  54. Blair R 11 years ago

I prefer to cover especially while betting on away teams. Maybe a trixie could be the way then if only two win a small amout of staking % would be lost. Was just interested to see how most people would bet that treble or even do two singles with Luton being the home team in both.

    cheers

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Blair R, as I said it’s all to do with stakes, long-term plan, expectations etc. I know people who never do perms but in the belief they only need one win in say 10 to make a profit. For example if ypu put £50 on a 10-1 accer. One win in 10 is all you need.

  55. Richard 11 years ago

Just want to say thanks for the Super Single yesterday! won me a few quid cheers!!

Anyone got any tips for the few matches playing before 7pm?

I was looking at Ukraine U21 and Romania U21 as a double most probably.

  56. Blair R 11 years ago

Paul well done on the tips. Cant wait for more leagues to start up in the coming weeks.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Blair R, EPL and La Liga should help us out even if your only bets all season were Ronaldo and Messi to score first.

  57. Mr. K 11 years ago

a meek 10 squid on the super single and 5 on the treble.. gonna be my pattern for midweek games from now on. need to save up for the epl weekend!

Scotland u 21 team is full of hearts players. Cant see them doing much against a team full of epl players. But they might have 1 eye on the start of the league on saturday. Anyway av done -2 england and -1 luton. 20 pays 220pound.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Alex, England were poor at the Euros so that’s a concern. There are five or six Hearts players in the squad, all decent prospects. Problem with Hearts is just about all their players are under 22 so it will be a steep learning curve in the SPL.

  79. 1plus2 11 years ago

Wrexham must be in for a single shout @ 23/20 Betvictor.

Having won 2-1 on the opening day against newly promoted Welling they travel to newly promoted Halifax who got a bit of a pumping getting beat 5-1 by cambridge and had 2 men sent off in the process the goalie and a defender, so things don’t look to good at the moment and Wrexham could/should take advantage of Halifax’s low morale.

  80. Danny 11 years ago

Take a look at some goal scorers in Blue Square their was some right good finishers at that level season for example

    Anthony Malbon (Kidderminster) 6/5 @ Bet365
    Michael Gash (Kidderminster) 6/5 @ Bet365

    Mathew Barnes Homer (ForestGreen) 13/10 @ Bet365

    Andre Gray (Luton) 6/5 @ Bet365

    Andy Bishop (Wrexham) 6/4 @ Bet365

  83. Ben 11 years ago

    Aldershot 6/5
    Kidderminster 10/11
    Wrexham 1/1
    Luton (-1) 5/4

19/1 4 fold – also going to perm?

  84. fernando cardoso 11 years ago

Well, last 2 games between Wil and Wohlen (first at home) Wohlen always won. Wil only won 2 games at home since March… 2 draws and lost 5.
In the other end, Wohlen won 4 games, draw 3 and lost 3…
    I’m out of that game.
Kidderminster seems good. Same for Grimsby and Luton.
    I’m unsure about Englsnd U21.

    My bets are (trixie):

    – Kidderminster to win at 1.85
    – Grimbsy to win at 2.25
    – Croatia U21 -2.5 & -3.0 at 1.91

    Thanks.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Fernando, I did mention that was the thing that worried me about Wil but on this season’s form you have to fancy them.

Barnet struggled for the last few years, but Davids is starting a mini revolution and relegation from the football league may gave been a blessing in disguise. The squad now looks far too good for this level and that was backed up with a very good display on the opening weekend.

  86. MrT 11 years ago

Mr F – any reason why you didn’t opt for Wrexham? Few people tipping them up. Seem fairly safe bet. Would be interested in your thoughts on their game.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

MrT, I did look at Wrexham but just didn’t put them on my treble. I’ll you what – Wrexham, Grimsby and Kidderminster would be a nice aways treble.

Anyone have any thought on lerona rita vs rinuzi – on phone so can’t check stats but from memory these two teams usually have goals.

P.s is it not a bit weird to have users allowed the same name?

  89. smokeit34 11 years ago

rinuzi v lerona rita (in play)

    o1.5 fhg 11/8

    not massive stakes

  90. Charlie 11 years ago

    Won 3/3 bets today :D

  91. smokeit34 11 years ago

thats the 1st goal undert 15 mins gone :)

i hate boasting but this day is unbelievable! great day with the horses too!

  92. smokeit34 11 years ago

ive not looked at scotland england u21 lineups but if as someone wrote above mainly a hearts team we’re fooked..

dont want to bet against us as ill be watching, maybe go for england team goals over 3.5 or something similar or over 5.5 goals depending on price.

probably one to be on over 1.5 fhg if price is right aswell…

anyone see any other upcoming games for first half overs?

    • Tom 11 years ago

    small stake treble
    germeny under 21 v france under 21 btts 8-11.
france scored in 14 of last 15 and in 12 of last 13 away.
Germany score in 26 of last 27
    these are competitive games.
soccerway doesn’t list friendly scores for some reason.

    Wrexham to beat Halifax evens.
Halifax only played 2 days ago, played 70 mins of that with 9 men, the 2 dismissed are now banned, and are part time so take it replacements might not be up to speed.

kiddy harriers to beat alfreton 10-11.
read fixers piece for reasons for this.

  95. smokeit34 11 years ago

over 2.5 for me in scotland u21 game @ 4/5

    england u21 -1 is 13/10

    or england ht/ft is 6/5

all of these will probably come in but dont think i can back against scotland…

  96. Max 11 years ago

ZFK spartak women have doubled my money 3 times so not to bad! Went for the last one at o 10.5 and just scored with seconds to play happy days. Got on it from over 5.5 so done pretty well!

  97. badjasper 11 years ago

    bargain btts treble tomorrow

    England v jocks 6-5
    Italy v argies 19-20
    belguim v france 10-11
do Trixie then stake back if 2 come in near enough

  98. deeky 11 years ago

just dont trust grimsby dbl chance i think?

  99. badjasper 11 years ago

Grimsby were poor on Saturday and have an iffy record at Gateshead,
and Gateshead have signed craig brodie, who scored on Saturday in their 3-1 defeat, one of the best strikers in this league.
I think this will be 1-0 or 1-1 or under 2.5 whatever takes your fancy.
    just my opinion that is.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

badjasper, you are welcome to your opinion. I’m sticking with Grimsby who should improve. You can’t judge a team on their league opener.

    • badjasper 11 years ago

      calm down fixer.
im just going off the head to head stats between them.
I wont be getting involved tonight anyway.
its a scraping the barrel card for me.
be just betting for the sake of it.

be doing btts treble tomorrow though.
      England, belguim and Italy.

    food for thought

  103. Kev 11 years ago

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

      Kev, are they tipping Grimsby?

  104. jack h 11 years ago

Anyone think newells old boys are huge at over 3/1 away at boca… Check previous lg tables ul see! jack

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

      jack h, Boca’s a hard place to win, I won’t be on Newell’s.

  105. Kev 11 years ago

Dont understand why people question mr fs picks. He gives reasonings in his post above… If u dont fancy it then dont use

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Kev, you’re right. People should take them or not take them. I’m on them for a reason and sometimes they win, sometimes they don’t. If people are looking at their own tips they should back them.

  106. william bailie 11 years ago

100% kev. Mr f is a legend , still well ahead from his 5 homes 2 weekends ago. Heres hoping for a good night 2night!

  107. Kev 11 years ago

    Who mr f?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Kev, you said read the post deeky, I assume you mean the Racing Post are tipping Grimsby.

  108. Richard 11 years ago

I agree that if you look at the torneo final league table from last year they look big but newells haven’t even scored in their last 4 away at boca and they played a 2 legged copa libertadores tie in May that finished 0-0 after 180 mins.

Not saying not worth a nibble but I’d keep stakes small

  109. william bailie 11 years ago

The wil game looks a good un already 1-1 after ten minutes!

  110. Richard 11 years ago

Just to back up mr f – even though they finished second bottom in the torneo final, they only lost once at home in 9 games. I think a draw may be a good shout but good luck whatever you decide

  111. Richard 11 years ago

Mr F I think kev was telling deeky to read your post at the top if he wanted reasoning

  112. BRH 11 years ago

After studying all tips and opinions on page, going for a treble of Kidderminster, Boca and English under 21s although if it doesn’t win I hope it’s because England lose.

    Best of luck everyone

  120. kev 11 years ago

yeah, just meant for him to read your post at the top of the page mr f.

u must have the patience of a saint to deal with badjasper etc etc! :)

great start to the treble anyway :D cmon!

  121. thechief 11 years ago

Braintree unbeaten in last 6 games against Working, and only relegated Ebbsfleet had worse away record than Working.

Speaking of away records, Kidderminster had the best away record and I’m hoping it continues tonight.

    TOP DOUBLE

    BRAINTREE 11/8
    KIDDERMINSTER 10/11

    odds at Coral

Good luck if your having a bet

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

thechief, let’s hope so. I’m off out for a couple pints and to watch the rest of England v Scotland U-21s.

  122. The UHT 11 years ago

Those look like good picks on a pretty uninspiring card, Mr F. Fancy more goals for Luton looking to bounce back at home, so, I’m on them -1, which is a shade over evens and doubling with Kidderminster as tipped for super single. That looks decent value paying at just over 4.

Looking at tonight’s Brazilian matches in Serie B, and there’s some decent-looking home sides playing poorish away sides that immediately catch the eye. I think there’s a decent treble in there at least.

Argentina I am leaving well alone at this stage of the season after Velez battered Arsenal Sarandi to a pulp during the week and still couldn’t score, but there is no value in Newells away at Boca as pointed out. Just to reinforce what’s been said, it’s 2009 since they scored a goal there. The only shout on that match would be unders – come up in the last five games with Newells away – but this is their first league game, the team is in disarray… best left.

  123. Knottsy 11 years ago

Think I’ll try a punt on Kidderminster+1 in play. Getting around the evens mark.

  124. Telmo 11 years ago

result rush down but last goal wins coupon kinda still on 3/8 games tonight and got Kidderminster Grimsby & Luton

  130. ConorLG 11 years ago

Two of my three selections in my treble are on target, just need Barnet to score and i’m sure they can close it from there.

  131. william bailie 11 years ago

Go kiddiminster ! Lol aw well always tomorrow

  132. Telmo 11 years ago

what in gods name has happened to Kidderminster tonight ???? 3-0 down

  133. Craig Alves 11 years ago

They have better stats so hopeful they get a late consolation

  134. ConorLG 11 years ago

Don’t moan at Mr F if his tip doesnt come in, use it as a guideline, and follow your own research.

Just waiting on Barnet to come with a goal now!, Luton 2 up and England u21 smashing Scotland.

  135. william bailie 11 years ago

To be honest as a rule I never bet on the away team in england form usually goes out of the window.

Had a safe bet today Luton & aldershot double looking good so far

Also I tipped Luton earlier today at -1

  147. Mr. K 11 years ago

  151. Luke 11 years ago

Can I add, it a Super Single, Nialler.
Probs should of took the treble too.
Mr.F always seems to have one of the two in.

  152. Madi 11 years ago

Nialler why not go somewhere else for tips or even better why not use your own. If you don’t like the tips here then don’t come on here

  153. Rory 11 years ago

Kidderminster beat me should have stuck with the treble lol every time I get too greedy and add the super single to the treble, not too upset though as I put 40 on hills special wick ham AT and England win at 7/4 so still up….well done on the treble mr f great effort keep em coming

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Rory, at the end of the day I hope to land the single and the treble but fairly happy when I get one out of two. I sometimes add the single to the treble but tonight, mainly because of the doubts expressed by many about Grimsby.

  154. coldasice 11 years ago

    hahahahaha

Not much else to say about that comment

  155. mitchell 11 years ago

Mr f i went on your treble but added england germany my mistake being geedy. Do you think rooney will destroy scotland tomorrow?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Matt, I was going to say no one can destroy Scotland but I’ve just watched the Under-21s game. Men against boys really and I did say earlier I feared for the Scots kids.

  170. MrT 11 years ago

Boca Juniors welcome Newell’s Old Boys to the Estadio Alberto J Armando, looking to build on an opening day win here.

The home side ran out 2-1 victors against Belgrano on Wednesday, and will be keen to maintain that 100% record through this clash, and that makes 10 without defeat on their own patch.

Boss Carlos Bianchi will be delighted with that return, and eight clean sheets during that time underlines just how dominant the Xeneizes have been in front of their own fans of late.

Newell’s travel to Buenos Aires having lost four of their last five – and no goals scored in those defeats suggests that Alfredo Berti’s side have lacked a cutting edge of late.

And just one win from five Primera Division outings indicates that La Lepra may struggle in this trip to the capital, as they bid to repeat last campaign’s success, in which they narrowly missed out on the Championship to Velez Sarsfield.

A loss to Atletico Mineiro in their last outing – a Copa Libertadores clash – will have knocked confidence in the away camp, and it remains to be seen how the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa side bounce back from that.

Boca have lost just once to their guests in nine meetings at the Armando – a run which stretches back to 2005 – and I reckon that they have enough momentum and vigour about them to secure maximum points here, too.

    Bet 1: Boca Juniors (HOME) @ 2.22

  171. Will B 11 years ago

Nice treble…. Thanks for yesterday’s horse at 6/1 I only managed to get on at 2s. Poker mate put me onto you last week. I must buy him a pint on Thursday!!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Will B, good to have you on board. Winning Insights’ pick Mixed Message finished third on Tuesday, tipped each-way at 11-2, so a small profit via the exchange. No selections Wednesday but he’ll back on Thursday with performance update too.

  172. The UHT 11 years ago

jack h – I like your style! Good luck with Newells. You never know!

Mr T – that game is a minefield, but good luck to you, too! ;-)

    . . .

Let’s look a bit further north meantime, at Serie B in Brazil.

Most kick-offs are 11.30, one or two a couple of hours later.

America MG v Sao Caetano 11.30pm

This one’s hard to call in terms of a W-D-W bet, so, I’m going to look instaed at some of the goal stats in the five match home and away form.

America MG (home) are F15 A9 (averaging 4.8 FTG)

Sao (away) are F9 A8 (averaging 3.4). In the last three games, they’re a lot closer to 4.

    I fancy a conservative FTG O2.5 @ 1.65

    Sport Recife v Ceara 11.30pm

Sprt Recife are banging them in for fun away, and conceding like nobody’s business, too. P8 F19 A19.

At home, though, they’re F7 A4. Sure, two games fewer played, but a decent record of W4 L2.

So, at least they’re keeping the powder dry in the service of an excellent win percentage.

Ceara haven’t won a single away game all season – having played 7 away.

Recife are the 10th best home league side – having played fewer than most at home – so, how does their position compare with sides that have played Ceara?

Ceara have lost to Parana (5th best home side), Bragantino (7th), Icasa (11th) and Oeste (13th). they’ve drawn with Sao Caetano (12th), America MG (17th) and ABC (18th).

The home win is pretty appealing, even at 1.62

    Icasa v ABC 1.50am

Starting with the away this time.

ABC are bottom of the whole league. Their home form’s pretty bad, but away they’re even worse. P7 W0 D1 L6 F4 A16

They’ve won one game all season – at home against Paysandu (see below) P6 L6 – and their away draw was against America RN, the second worst home side in the league.

Icasa are nothing special at ome, but they’ve won three of the last four league matches they’ve played there against far better opponents than ABC.

    The home is evens.

    Joinville v Palmeiras 1.50am

    Again, I’ll do away first.

Palmeiras are top of the league.

    P14 W11 D1 L2 F30 A10

    5 match form: W4 D1 L0 F11 A4

    Season’s away record: P6 W4 D1 L1 – that’s the second best in the league.

So, are Joinville enough of a threat to stop that kind of a juggernaut?

    Home: P7 W4 D1 L2 F17 A10. That looks decent, you have to say.

Then you look at recent games, and in the last four homes, they’re P4 W1 D1 L2 F9 A9. And none of those opponents was as good as Palmeiras.

I’m confident that Palmeiras can go there and win.

There are no recent meetings I could back that up with, but at 2.2 for the away, that’s got to be the call.

I’m going for singles on both of the odds against and a fourfold.

The fourfold pays at 11.72 (all odds Bet365)

  173. Matt parks 11 years ago

Xraig alves i take it your scotish with views like that mate rooney all the way. Think rooney first scorer england 2.1 or 3.1 for sure rooney to score england to win.

  174. stevo 11 years ago

I’m on Boca aswell now Mr T. Good luck :D

  175. Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Nialler, just about to delete your disgusting posts. Treble up was up, single wasn’t, that’s life. Tips have been pretty good this month and I see you’ve quite rightly been shot down by the regulars on here.

    • Craig K 11 years ago

Mr F, just wanna say I have been making a good gradual profit with a lot of help from your tips, very informative and soundly based tips, of course they wont all come in, but good rate of sucsess so thanks again. Nothing needs to be said about idiot internet trolls! Do you have any thoughts on Boca Juniors v Newell Old Boys tonight??

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig K, as I’ve said not sure about Boca game. Would favour Boca but it’s a tough call.

  176. Alex Walker 11 years ago

Lee carswell it was me who put it up. Young england team were always going to be to strong for us so it was only luton i was worried about. Not touching the bg game 2morow to close to the start of the epl and no one wants to get hurt.

  177. Rob 11 years ago

Thanks for a great treble Mr F….Top picks as usual, would never have spotted the Wil game. Onwards and upwards tomorrow.

    England +2.5
    Poland
    Russia-1

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Rob, cheers. Happy with Wil because I took them despite Wohlen dominating the recent head-to-heads.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Matt, there’s always one to be fair. There’s a lot of effort put in the tips but they can’t always win.

  181. Craig Alves 11 years ago

Sure am matt haha think it’ll be a close game and hoping for a draw but that’s the best we’ll get. just a wee fun bet to keep me interested watching it tomorrow and rooney will probably only play an hour tops, just hope he doesn’t score before being subbed. A bit unlucky Gary Caldwells not in the squad or he would’ve been in his back pocket :)

    Good stats UHT.

Think +2.5ftg has good shout in Palmeiras game at 1.79. Palmeiras clearly superior and expect to win but joinville have scored in 13 of their 14 league games so far (all of their home games!).

Mr T – we do not disagree! I was torn with the O2.5 in that one, but the odds against win is likely to be the 2-1 or 3-1 away… (Fingers crossed!) I’m sure you’re right, though – I wouldn’t put anyone off the O2.5 either.

I’m now fascinated by how the Boca/Newells game is going to turn out!

Just saw your earlier post, favouring boca :)

    2 doubles for me now

Unders in Boca & overs in America MG

Boca and Sport Recife to win

Will get something on Palmeiras win & overs later.

Liking the Brazilian tips as ever UHT – had already put on a wee accy myself – agree with Recife and Icasa and maybe should’ve waited for you but I’ve added a couple of alternatives

    Oeste vs Paysandu

The home team have not been in great form of late and have a rather uninspiring home record of P7 W3 D2 L2 at home and have one win and one defeat in their last two at home. However, Paysandu are quite simply terrible away from home with a perfect 100% record of defeats, failing to even score in 4 of the last 5 and I’m betting on them continuing this fine form.

    Home win available at 2.05

    Parana vs Boa

These teams sit 4th and 5th in the league and also 3rd and 4th in the current form table. Parana are unbeatean at home with a record of P6 W4 D2 and P3 W2 D1 in last 3 at home so are in good form. Boa though are also in good form as they’re unbeaten in their last 6 with a record of P6 W3 D3 and I’m on what seems to be an unfashionable bet – a draw.

    Draw available at 3.50

Cheers, Richard – we’re of similar mind very often!

      Here’s the thing – and I know you’ll know where I’m coming from – …

Paysandu – and I actually took out what I was going to say about them, which is why “see below” means nothing in my post – have got to come good away at some point. Look at the home form. They are a decent side.

What I was going to say was: if they’d been paying at 8 or 9 in this game, I’d have started to get interested in backing them!

Yep, I also think Oeste will win this, but I was also going to say they’re not reliable enough to be cetain of it, and not dodgy enough to think: this is the one Paysandu may reproduce their home form in…

All I do think is: Paysandu may not be as reliably rubbish as their league stats suggest. But, then again, they are utterly pitiful, so, who knows!

The other one was too close to call for me, and, funnily enough, i also thought: I bet that’s a draw!

Best of luck with all of them anyway…

Let’s hope for a bonanza whichever way they all go!

Oeste v Paysandu – 23:30 KO in Serie B in Brasil

Paysandu have lost all 6 away games this season, at odds of 21/20, back Oesete!

  188. Richard 11 years ago

    Right last line before bed

    America MG over 3.0,3.5
    Joinville over 2.5
    Icase over 2.5
    Guaratingueta over 2.5

Pays about 13/1 and stats suggest it shouldn’t be much of a problem – if only it was that easy!

  189. Richard 11 years ago

Know what you mean UHT – I did have a bit of a thought that maybe Oeste are a poor enough side for them to break their duck against but above evens for almost any brazilian team at home is too good to reduse

Missed your treble as I was in late from work, but got on Luton grimbsy double and took grimbsy in place at 3.60

Also had a few quid on kiddy, but that was a shocker, cheers for the rips anyway! Was a profitable night!
