IT wasn't a bad night considering the card with my Super Single landing and a both teams to score treble coming in out of four selections.
For the second night in a row the SS was a team to win by more than one goal and once again it was 2-0 – this time to Real Madrid after Derby's dramatic success on Monday.
Real won in Cardiff with two Cristiano Ronaldo goals but it should have been more as they paraded their stars in a £270 million show of strength.
Out of the eight teams I put up to score only Wrexham failed and it was two out of three on the treble. Blackburn beat that and I wouldn't have picked them if I'd known they'd make 10 changes but such is the peril of Capital One Cup ties.
Wednesday is dominated by a full card of Scottish Premiership matches and I've put up a separate preview. Dundee United are my Super Single in today's Daily Record and I'm sticking with them here.
If United play as they did in beating Aberdeen 3-0 at Pittodrie on Sunday they should see off Motherwell at home.
Elsewhere Dortmund and Bayern Munich meet in the German Super Cup at the Westfalenstadion and there are two Capital One Cup ties with Coventry entertaining Cardiff and Sheffield Utd at home to Mansfield.
Coventry boss Steven Pressley will give Lee Burge a start in goal while Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rings the changes. Kim Bo-Kyung, Magnus Eikrem, Guido Burgstaller and Kevin Theophile-Catherine will all make their first starts of the season while Spanish striker Javi Guerra looks set debut although Kagisho Dikgacoi and Federico Macheda won't feature.
Michael Doyle and Neill Collins are expected to start for Sheffield United after missing Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Bristol City as boss Nigel Clough makes changes. Mansfield plan to put out a strong side but won't risk several players who are carrying knocks.
Bayern are biggest 23-20 with Betfred to win as they game is not at a neutral venue but being played at Dortmund. They've strengthened by signing Robert Lewandowski from Borussia who have brought in Ciro Immobile from Torino but are without several players including centre-half Mats Hummel so decided to leave it alone.
However, I've picked out a Trixie as the Top Treble. Cardiff are on it as well as Aberdeen at Killie and St Mirren against Hamilton and reasoning for the Scots sides are on the SPFL preview post.
There are other games dotted about Europe so put your thoughts and tips here.
