IT'S Good Friday and where football betting is concerned it's not your normal Friday with almost full cards in English League One and Two as well as several friendly internationals.
Unfortunately for me it is business as usual as I still have two pages to fill in Saturday's Daily Record so my main focus is on that.
However, I'm ahead of the game so I've spent some time picking out selections for tonight from the English card – and totally ignoring the friendly internationals.
Last night I didn't quite make it. My Super Single was a double beaten by Ecuador surprisingly being held by Paraguay – and well done to Jordan whose 2 goal tip landed in injury time.
And I was a goal short in the Scotland game of landing the Top Treble – and the Scots were denied a stonewall penalty as they won 1-0 in Prague.
Today I'm going with Barnsley as my Super Single. They are clinging on to the final play-off spot and face a Scunthorpe side who will have to go for a win if they have any chance of making it.
That could play into the hands of Barnsley who have won four out of five while Scunny's only success in six was against Doncaster but they have drawn five of those.
There are loads of both to score tips flying about and my treble features one of the most popular – Accrington v Orient. I read on WeLoveBetting that 16 of Stanley's 18 at home have seen both score and that's good enough for me.
Add Shrewsbury v Port Vale and York v Crawley. The Shrews' last two have been 2-2 while Vale's last two have featured nine goals.
It's do or die for York who are seven points adrift of safety. They have go to for the win and that could lead to goals as Crawley are in decent form with two wins and two draws in their last four. York usually lose but can score.
For the Top Treble I like Bristol Rovers at a decent price at home to Cambridge as they go for six wins in a row. Add Northampton, who have thrown in some draws recently, but remain in great form ahead of their meeting with Newport.
I've decided to complete the treble with Oxford at home to Stevenage but it coul as easily been Portsmouth, Cheltenham or Eastleigh. Take your pick.

Split a few last night with Syria doing better than I expected, but Saudi Arabia never got going early. Supposedly two goals were disallowed on 365 in the first half so luck wasn’t on my side. Ecuador eventually scored twice after a barrage of attempts so pulled a bit back. Difficult card but I’m not that clued up on lower league football but I like the look of this. Colchester are seated at the foot of the table and really need to win this is they want a chance of survival against Doncaster who are also in the first relegation spot. Should have a good game here. Colchester as many as they concede, have the ability to score, drawing 3-3 with second placed Wigan and beating 7th placed Bradford not so long ago.
Oxford Utd host a Stevenage side also in a relegation battle. Stevenage have lost 6 of their last 8 and only kept two clean sheets in their last 15 games. Oxford are tied with Northampton as the highest scoring teams in the league on 68. Oxford also won the reverse fixture 5-1 earlier in the season.

Oxford are great away but hit and miss at home.
They have a couple of key players away on international duty.

My boys travel to Blackpool to take on The Seasiders with October’s H2H seeing us win by the odd goal in 7.
Blackpool picked up their first 3 points in 9 games with a 2-1 win at Crewe last time out and although we are slight favourites here, there’s every chance we’ll be vulnerable at the back – especially when you consider The ‘Pools attacking line of Cullen, Redshaw and Philliskirk.

Hi Shaker,I must admit I’m leaning towards BTTS for the match at Bloomfield Road today.
It was a decent win at Crewe for us – especially being down to 10 for all of the second half and then scoring our late winner right after conceding an equaliser.
We’ve had plenty of under 2.5 games at home this season but I think both sides will see this as a winnable match and ought to go for it from the off. Another 7 goal thriller is more likely than a goalless draw…

Como sit bottom of the league and take on 7th place entella, despite winning at Modena last time como have not been in great form whilst entella sit 4th in the form table unbeaten in 6 and scoring at least 2 in 5 of those .
Como have not beaten entella in the last 5 meetings 2 draws and 3 defeats. The games in this league are usually close no matter what the league positions are so its not as straight forward as the stats suggest but @ bet365 entella are 13/5 for the win which I think is great value.

Not going to be around tomorrow and with a bad card (not a Scottish buff) I’m going to chance my luck in the A-League. The Newcastle Jets are out of playoff contention and will be hosting a Perth Glory side who have won 8 of their last 10 league games and are looking to seal their playoff fate. The Glory beat the Jets 6-1 here in their first match up of the season and have won the last six between the two in the A-League scoring two or more in each contest. Andy Keogh scored for me last week and now has 7 goals in 6 consecutive A-League matches. He looks a good price @ 7/5 @ 365 to net again, but I’m going to be on the vistors to score two goals in their 7th consecutive A-League appearance vs the Jets.
