A GOOD weekend on the Super Singles was completed with two out of two on Sunday.

First up was Valencia at 8-5 and I later added Chelsea to score 2+ against Man City after seeing the line-ups.

I always bang on about how important team news is in the likes of the FA Cup and as well as advising Chelsea to win and Chelsea 2+ I took West Ham not to lose on the strength of the line-ups.

My both to score treble fell short and I'm blaming Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty miss for sinking the Top Treble.

Highlights on Monday include Shrewsbury v Man United in the FA Cup and I'll post a separate preview. In League One Burton travel to Southend.

In Serie A it's Napoli v AC Milan which should be a cracker while Sporting face Boavista in what's been a goal-laden Portuguese League in recent weeks.

Napoli look a bit short to me at 8-13 with McBookie but they have won 10 of their last 11 at home in Serie A. They have also netted at least two goals in their last four home matches versus Milan and over 1.5 Napoli goals is 13-19 at 888sport.

Milan are unbeaten in seven and Napoli have the added distraction of a Europa League return against Villarreal on Thursday. If I was having a bet here it could be both t score at 4-5 almost across the board.

I'm not confident enough about anything to put up a Super Single but I'm willing to risk 1pt on a Top Treble. Take the btts at Napoli and Man United to win – 4-11 is a good enough price to put on a treble.

I considered Metz not to lose at Nimes and Sporting to score 2+ but to complete the treble I'm on League One leaders Burton – who have won four of their last five away – not to lose at Southend.

And remember to check We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

The total should be 5.97 or 6 if you round it up because of the 0.33 cover you did mr fixit

    • elvis parsley 3 years ago

my god, he fiddled the books to the tune of 0.33 of a point.
I suggest he be dragged through the streets of Glasgow and be stoned by the baying hordes of people signing on tomorrow, then tied to a goalpost of his choice at Clydebank fc and given 50 lashes with barbed wire.
and if he persists with these diabolical miscalculations, he would be subjected to spending the night in a wheelie bin with susan boyle.

    • Mr Fixit 3 years ago

elvis parsley, had a busy night at the Record last night and simply forgot.
As always if any stat is wrong it’s out pointed by someone and sorted.
As you say it’s hardly a hanging offence but if anyone wants to join me at the next Clydebank game I will happily be tied to the goalposts – but don’t bring along Susan Boyle please.

  2. Jordan 3 years ago

My purple patch continued with both bets winning on Sunday, but Monday is never a day that I hope for in the betting world as we get a few games but not from many prestigious leagues. I have however found game in which we should see goals, but the price isn’t brilliant for a single with Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 7/10 @ best with Marathon Bet.

A game hailing from the Conference sees two teams who have kept one clean sheet between them in 16 games this year.

8 of 12 home games have brought up Over 2.5 for Wealdstone this season with 7 of their last 9 in all competitions. Opponents Hemel Hempstead aren’t quite as consistent for overs away from home, but 17 of their 27 games this season have seen Over 2.5, with 8 of 14 away games averaging 3.6 goals.

Wealdstone have scored 11 and conceded 9 over their last 5, with Hempstead scoring 10 and conceding 13 in that same span. The reverse fixture was on Boxing Day which ended in a 2-2 draw. Both have scored in every game played between the two sides with a 2-2 draw here last season. These teams have only played 5 times in their history, with 3 of those games finishing 2-2. Both look as if they can score here tonight but they should also let a couple in at their own end too. With the price so short on Match Goals I’m going to risk BTTS & Over 2.5, which pays a reasonable 10/11 with 365. Easy does it though as I have no information about teams news. Hopefully the short rest from the weekends fixtures can add to the goals too.

    English Conference South – 7:45PM

    Wealdstone/Hemel Hempstead BTTS & Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 10/11 @ 365 – 2.2 points

    If you’re a sucker for history repeating itself, a fourth 2-2 in 6 h2h pays 12/1 @ 365.

  3. harrybaines 3 years ago

I was thinking of a strategy to betting on football so i thought of this.

Stake £100 on a bet at evens if it wins = 200

    £200 to 400

    £400 to 800

    £800 to 1600

Then keep going or cash out.

You’ll need 4 wins in a row otherwise if one fails it all fails and you will have to start again. Is this a god idea or is it to hard to get 4/5 bets in a row around evens?

Please tell me what you think :) What is your strategy if you dont mind sharing :)

    • richb20806 3 years ago

Always got a fighting chance but you just never know what’ll happen… “It’s a funny old game”

    • Mr Fixit 3 years ago

harrybaines, it’s not a great plan because you need to be able to afford to potentially lose a big sum and have the bottle to place the later bets.
The formula is known as the martingale system and has been well documented on the site.
It’s too risky for me to advise it to anyone.

    • anton 3 years ago

Thought the Martingale system was doubling your stake after each loss ? I think Harry is doing a rolling accumulator.

    • punterpounder 3 years ago

thares no set way to win as such but patience and research gives you a better chance off a winner better to win £10 ten times on odds on than lose £100 tryna get to £200

    • Mr Fixit 3 years ago

anton, it is – sorry I thought that was what he was doing.

    • Jordan 3 years ago

Wouldn’t call this a strategy if I’m honest. Its basically what Kelly has been doing the past few days/weeks with shorter odds. Road to ruin if you ask me. Hard enough picking one bet at EVS let alone four in a row.

    • jacksonator 3 years ago

forgive me if I am misunderstanding, but is this strategy not just picking 5 bets in a row at evens to win and rolling the funds? If so then it isn’t really a strategy, other than trying to pick winning bets, which is what every single person on here is doing!

  4. richb20806 3 years ago

    Rich’s slow and steady £5-£50 challenge…

Leg 1 £5 on Puebla o1.5tgs won (thanks Jordan, good spot). £9 returned.

Going to keep playing it safe and will pick my leg 2 a bit later.

It’s slim pickings tonight so possibly looking at the Southend v Burton (Southend no clean sheet) doubled with Besiktas v Genclerbirligi (Genclerbirligi no clean sheet). Pays 0.43/1. This would take me to about £12.37…….

I’ll decide a bit later though.

    • richb20806 3 years ago

May even double up a Southend NCS with a version of Jordan’s Wealdstone, just looking at a safe o1.5mgs…….

    • Jordan 3 years ago

  6. richb20806 3 years ago

Lovely News…. The Bet365 £50 Inplay risk free is back on tomorrow for the gunners Barca game.

I’ll put £50 on o0.5 mgs pre match (currently 1/33 which will pay around £51.51)

I’ve covered in Skybet with £3 on u1.5mgs at 16/1 to pay £51.

So for a £53 spend ill lose either £1.49 or £2.

With my £50 risk free I’m currently pondering but the likely bet for me will be Suarez ATGS (at evens) to give me £100.

I don’t see masses of goals in this one but feel that Suarez will have every chance on his return to the uk.

Morning guys and @kelly-d scrolling through today’s game and notice a few potential games that I’ll oat separately.

    Myanmar national league 9.30am

    UNITED -1.5 Asian handicap @1.85

This league has not long kicked off and are 6/7 games in. The home side are newly promoted and don’t appear to be competting at this higher level. There previous games are as follows – 1-1, 0-3, 3,0, 0-2, 0-5

In their past 5 games they have only Managed to score the once.

They play the team who sit second in the league with a game in hand. They are still unbeaten this season winning 5 put pf the 6 they have played.

The two team previous H2H don’t make good reading to reflect this gamble however they last played each other in 2013 so a lot has changed since then.

  11. mr. orange 3 years ago

After the low scoring Europa Leagues games on Thursday and the low scoring Friday games I decided to try some betting on the under match goals market this weekend.

Betting on unders isn’t very populair on here. I saw Wato and UHT posting a couple of these bets at the weekend. I’m sure I’m not the first one who thought about this, but with betting on unders you have an advantage on the bookie because your bet is actually winning when the game kicks off.

I picked out a total of 20 games on Satuday and Sunday and gone for the “save” option of under 3.5 match goals. Doing them in doubles and trebles. None of these 20 games went over 3.5 goals and only 2 games saw over 2.5 match goals. I will keep doing these bets during the week and if the run continues I will start posting these bets on here.

If someone has experience or tips on doing unders bets I would like to hear your thoughts.

    • thfourteen 3 years ago

Tried the under 3.5 market a few times. The main thing that annoyed me about it was watching games hoping for no goals. Really kills the fun of it.

    • kingdingaling 3 years ago

Interesting @mr.orange – so how much did you win ?

What leagues did you pick for the unders etc

    • mr. orange 3 years ago

I had about 30 points profit. With 5 point stakes.

I picked them from all kind of leagues. Lille, Caen, Torino, Atletico Madrid, Genoa, Slaven Belupo, Xanthi, Cluj and loads of games in SA.

    • kingdingaling 3 years ago

Nice work – takes a fair bit of studying to pick the right ones I guess.

Will look out for any you post and have a dabble

    • big mac 3 years ago

For me backing unders is no different from backing overs, if the stats back it up and current form backs it up its worth a bet

    • -wato- 3 years ago

Mr Orange I agree with Big Mac there are games like this to be found. When I look into the games I am first of all looking for games that could/should have goals but along the way I have been managing to find mainly teams not to score 2 or 3 goals and sometimes match unders. They can work well but of course we still need a bit of luck with no early goals or red cards etc but that is the same when backing overs too

    • big mac 3 years ago

Today’s studying I’ve found more games that I like that are under than over

Fortuna Düsseldorf under 1.5 team goals
San Marcos under 1.5 team goals

      2pt double @ 0.81/1 *NAP*

Düsseldorf have failed to score in 4 of their last 6 games, opponents Nuremberg are top of the league with 5 clean sheets in their last 7

San Marcos have failed to score in their last 5 enough said

    Morning Gents

Didn’t get a chance to post yesterday sadly, had a good look through todays card, as always the Dutch and Belguim reserves / youth matches should yield goals – sticking closer to home though

    St Mirren u20 v St Johnstone u20 KO 2pm

The young saints meet at the St Mirren Staduim this afternoon! gas always at this level, home teams tend to do better! We put out essentially out u17 team last week which resulted I a 4-2 defeat at Dunfermline! Looking likely that it will be another young side travelling down to Paisley today! ( can’t be sure though so twitter should confirm! Taking the Paisely saints to win this! They are going well, whilst we are 5 defeats from 6 and not too clever on the road

    Need some advice!

What do you people think of Shrewsbury over 20 booking points at 9/2?

Means they need to get 3 or more bookings or a red card.

@mr-fixit what are your thoughts on this?

    • nufctipster 3 years ago

Forgot to mention, that’s with paddy power

    • Mr Fixit 3 years ago

nufctipster, on the face of it it looks decent.
Before I did a bookings bet I’d consider team and ref stats.

    • nufctipster 3 years ago

@mr-fixit I had a look and on average neil swarbrick gives out 3.5 yellow cards a game. Shrewsbury seem to pick up a few yellows each match whether they win or lose, I can imagine united trying to keep possession this evening and I can see shrewsbury getting frustrated. Also with the pace of some of the united players, I can see Shrewsbury defenders having no option but to give away fouls. Only going to put 1pt on it, but i think its really good value for what it is.

    • aj 3 years ago

According to the FA’s website, Swarbrick is the fourth official and Robert Madley is the referee.

    • nufctipster 3 years ago

That’s confusing according to the Guardian its Swarbrick?

If anything it would be good if Madley is the referee because he’s got a higher average of yellows than Swarbrick

    • aj 3 years ago

That’s strange. If Swarbrick was the fourth official perhaps Madley has had the match taken off him and Swarbrick has since been promoted to refereeing the match. Either way players like Martial should cause problems for Shrewsbury and I think 9/2 looks decent for 3 yellows.

    • Mr Fixit 3 years ago

Southend vs Burton BTTS @ evens in most places.

Although the stats don’t totally carry this one, Southend should easily be capable of scoring at home, even against the mighty Burton defence. Their form has been up and down this season and they’ve struggled away from Roots Hall but a win will keep them in touch with the playoff places and they have had a few players back from injury in the last couple of weeks. So I’ll be having a small go at Southend win and btts @6/1 too.

I’ll be annoyed if it comes in and I haven’t had a nibble at it so here goes.

Its amazing how much stick United get on here each time they play/lose and yet people jump on them game after game the next time they play. I’ve seen enough of our dross this season to know we will likely make tonights game difficult. Losing to a Danish side that hadn’t played a competitive fixture in two months should be a warning for anybody, especially with Shrewsbury who are match fit despite not having a great run of form. They have however knocked out two Championship teams from this competition and that’s also something to take note of. United are decimated with injuries and just poor performances in general. We might have the possession, attempts, corners etc as we did in Denmark, but time and time again we were caught on the counter with our midfield non existent. I’ve said for a few days now that I think Shrewsbury to score, and I still think it is now. A makeshift defense for United with midfielders and youth players, Romero in goal. It doesn’t bode well for us fans. United might win and win big, but you have to question yourself. If Shrewsbury draw or win, will you be surprised? As a United fan, I won’t…

  53. HullShaker 3 years ago

Evening Crane – whippets sorted early doors as it’s our monthly pole-cat fanciers meeting…you’re a cheeky beggar ?

If I had to back a result in our game tomorrow I’d be tempted with the draw at 5/2…could be tight and goals are overpriced IMO.

Hampy, see your on the Imps pal!

      There she blows Rich!

    • richard 3 years ago

Don’t think I’ve ever seen that many corners in the first half of any game – think there might be an avalanche of goals in the second half but gonna steer clear for now – I’m tempted by your Ilkeston tip though as Stamford are generally rubbish away.

Interesting free kick tactics here for United. First one smashes Martial in the side of the face, second one offside but goal stands?

If anyone is finding this game boring. I’m playing a game trying to count how many passes Shrewsbury string together, or how many seconds they keep the ball for. I haven’t counted 10 for either ?

  76. richard 3 years ago

Agree it’s been a disappointing game Jordan – Shrewsbury have been very tame

    • Jordan 3 years ago

I’m trying to think of the last time I saw a team with 0 shots on or off goal, no corners, with only 10 minutes to play. Think its a first.

    • robertc 3 years ago

Bradford in the league cup final a few years ago. We got one (very tame) shot on target – Gary Jones from about 25 yards out that rolled harmlessly into the keepers arms…..happy days!

    • michaelc 3 years ago

As a Bradford fan I can point you to the Carling Cup final vs Swansea. We should have had a corner around the 70 minute mark, but the ref didn’t spot it and gave a goal kick……… We all cheered anyway though……..

    • Jordan 3 years ago

      Hahaha nice one Michael.

Are Queens Park u20 and Stranraer u20 piloting a new style of football without goalkeepers – 7 shots on target between them and 7 goals – and it’s not one of those games where Bet 365 only record a shot on target when someone scores as there’s been 7 shots off target as well

  78. craneguy 3 years ago
