IT'S the last weekend before Christmas and a perfect time to win some money from the bookies.
Just remember one thing though – if you HAVE to win to pay for festivities and gifts don't have a bet.
You can't gamble with cash you may need and also at this time of year it's easy to go silly so try to treat like another Saturday and stick to level stakes.
Last weekend I landed my biggest win of 2015 with four aways paying 159-1. Just because it won then doesn't mean to say I'll repeat it today and while the odds are smaller the line still pays 66-1 and not too many of them come in.
After what had been a decent week I had two losers on Friday thanks to Morton. I could have covered the Super Single when they led 1-0 but at that stage they looked good but in the end lost at home to a Raith side who finished stronger and just about deserved their last-gasp winner.
That means the SS is just in profit while there's nothing to worry about on the advised accas which will end the month massive no matter how I fare over the next week or so.
I'll post English and Scottish previews which will cover most of my picks but here are Saturday's top tips.

The Victory will be playing their third game in a week tomorrow morning, and it will be against their fierce rivals of Melbourne City who are well rested. The Victory have played three games away from home and haven’t picked up one point, or even scored for that matter. They will be glad to be on home soil (shared ground with City) but what they won’t be happy about is they come up against the most in form attack in the A -League with City scoring 14 goals in their last three games. A big part Victories troubles might be due to losing their captain for an unknown period as he has been diagnosed with an inflammatory condition affecting part of his brain. City will welcome the return of Aaron Hughes (Brighton, Fulham) from injury so that’s some experience at the back. City also have two of the best inform players at the moment too. Uruguayan striker Bruno Fornaroli (9 goals) leads the A-League golden boot standings, while no player has been involved in more goals this season than midfielder Aaron Mooy (6 goals, 7 assists). A few weeks ago Steve McClaren looked like he could have been one of the next managers to leave the Premier League, but somehow or another has pulled out two surprising wins at home to Liverpool and at White Heart Lane, coming down from 1-0 late on. Their opponents will be an extremely troubled Aston Villa who in my opinion has been worse recently than when Sherwood was in charge. If they survive this season I will be extremely surprised and I don’t think Remi Garde is the man to do so. Villa haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home since their 1-0 win at Bournemouth early on in the season. Since then they have lost six of their last seven away from home and I’d expect a Newcastle team who will surely have confidence behind them to put a couple away in front of their home fans.

Well Betfair have offered me a free £5 bet if I place a £5 bet this weekend. Think it’s because I’ve not used the account for months.
Placed a £5 sensible bet of over 1.5 goals in the Everton, Southampton, Carlisle and st Johnstone games and used my £5 freebet on a speculative 9/1 on Tom once and Vardy ATGS just through pure gut feeling.

I’d of liked to of stayed with last weeks formation, but its clear the boss is both managing his squad and picking his battles. Some games, you can’t just turn up and expect the spoils.
This squad isn’t as attack minded as the last match but given the Ipswich home match problem ( 5 draws and 2 losses ) from 7, including losses against Brighton and Middlesborough. It’s a game we’re more likely to win than Ipswich, and Chris Martin has scored in his last 2 matches against Ipswich ( but he is an academy product of the Norwich team ). Have no qualms against this, it is a tough match and the boss stated pre-Bristol, he wants 7 points from the next 3. On paper this is the toughest of those 3 and I’d say he’s counting on a draw and hoping for more.
My recommended bet for this which should come in is Derby double result with bet365 @ 17/50. Double that up with a Burton win and £10 will return £28.10.
Can’t disagree with you over the Burton match. It’s Nigel Clough’s 1st home match since his return and the team must be bouncing. They are where they are because of the work he started to put into place 16-18 years ago and kept it going for 10 years. Regardless of how they play today, they will still be top of the league come xmas day. Last week I singled out Burton to win based purely on the feelgood factor, even though Nigel Clough had a prior arranged commitment in Qatar, they still won 2 nil away to a tough Gillingham fixture.
You just know the Burton team will want to impress their returning messiah !! 11/10 for the Burton win for me is free money. I shall be dropping that in for my super single.
