LAST night I hinted at the sides I was looking at for my treble and I've decided to go with Liverpool, Napoli and Valencia.
Liverpool are pretty short but I've explained my reasons for backing them elsewhere. Napoli are in a fight for second place in Serie A and should beat Genoa after netting eight in their last two games while Valencia can't afford a slip-up at home to Valladolid as they chase a Champions League spot.
Other sides I looked included Inter, but they have striking problems for their home clash against Atalanta, and St Etienne but site regulars will know my feelings on French football.
Having said that after much deliveration I'm going with Stade de Reims as my Super SIngle as they take on faltering Lyon. Reims are a best 3-1 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power against a side who have slumped 11 points behind leaders PSG after a winless March that included two draws and two defeats.
Reims have lost once in four and have won their last two home games 1-0 against Rennes and PSG. That 3-1 on Reims is tempting but for the single I'm playing safer with Reims draw no bet at 7-4 with Ladbrokes.

I’ve never posted tips on here before but after having won 8/10 over 2.5 goals treble in the past two weeks, I thought I would share my tips. All I go off is the stats. My treble for today is :

We all know how Liverpool like to score over 2.5 goals at home and with West Hams recent form so poor, I can;t see how it wont be over 2.5.

Quite simply, 13 out of 14 AZ Alkmaars away league games this season have finished over 2.5 goals. NEC’s last 5 home league games have been over 2.5.
Aarau v Wil – Swiss Challenge League
Wil are a hidden gem that I haven’t seen anyone else tip. Every single one of Wil’s away games has been over 2.5 goals which is a good enough reason to have it in any treble. Their opponents are table toppers Aarau who have a 3.3 goals per a game average when they play at home.

Bixie, all look like good bets except for Iraklis v Kallonis. Its going to be under 2.5. Iraklis have an average of 1.8 home goals and Kollonis have an average of 0.9 away goals.
Kollonis, 13/14 away games under 2.5 goals. Also, they have only scored one and conceded 1 in the last 5 games, four of them being 0-0 draws.

Hank, the logic was simple. Liverpool had won 5 out of their last win home games, and West Ham had lost 5 of their 6 away games. I can understand why you would be reluctant to take a short price on the Liverpool win, but the stats all pointed to a home win. Personally I took the -1.5 Asian Handicap as Loverpool had won by more than two goals in four of their last five home victories as I believed this offered better value, but unfortunately these results happen, and I don’t believe it is fair to point figures, as it is by no means anyone’s fault.
In hindsight, I wished I took the Liverpool clean sheet, but to be honest if I went down that road, I would have taken the Win to Nil anyway so would still have lost.
Dean, exactly. Logically Liverpool were the bet so anyone who questions the logic knows nothing about betting. 2-1 Chelsea now.
Logic would be to completely avoid Liverpool when they are heavily expected to win. Stats and form count for nothing with Liverpool who for years have consistently showed ‘top 4’ form in patches which is then usually followed up with a result such as todays or Southampton a few weeks back. How many times do they have to let down before people say enough is enough and stop taken them as a banker??

so there were 8/9 under in etniki b, some serious studying of this league necessary to work out which will be high scoring, i picked the wrong one, and interestingly the two online bookies i use have recently stopped offering odds on a lot of these being either under or BTNTS, they’re like kids at school, i’m taking my ball home with me, they spot a bet where we win often and they stop offering prices

That said, I like the look of Atlanta as suggested by Milesey – I’m taking them +1, and I’m going for Valencia and Napoli (both -1) on a glorious small-stakes treble to get back about half the stake I lumped on Liverpool.
Maybe the lesson of this is not to rub your hands together like Michael Owen scoring at Wembley while placing a bet, but rather to wait until the game’s actually been played.
