CARDIFF and Partick Thistle just need a point apiece to secure promotion tonight – but I'm pretty sure they'll pick up all three.
Both are pretty short at home to Charlton and Raith Rovers respectively as they try to put the seal on a glory season and punters must decide whether they can be trusted to go all out for victories.
I feel they'll both win but I'm aware Cardiff let me down last midweek when they conceded a late equaliser at home to Barnsley. The same Barnsley side who were hammered 6-0 at home to Charlton at the weekend.
Cardiff are 13-20 at Titanbet with Thistle 2-5 – a double that pays £23.10 to a £10 stake and might be one for big hitters.
I could simply add Brechin (4-11) at home to Albion Rovers to that pair of champions and it's a treble that returns £31.50 to a tenner.
That looks a fairly safe treble but I'm being more ambitious. Start with the Welsh side who are the biggest price of the trio and add Bradford who can continue their charge to a play-off spot by taking care of Rotherham.
Bradford have bounced back well from their Capital One Cup Final loss by climbing into League Two promotion contention. Three wins and a draw in four games have lifted them to seventh spot and they are one point ahead of Exeter with a game in hand.
A four-point cushion with two games to go would be massive and it's a huge encounter against Rotherham who still have an automatic chance of going up.
Rotherham have lost their last three away to Morecambe, Gillingham and Cheltenham and I'm on Bradford at 6-5 with Titanbet.
Complete the treble with Nottingham Forest at Middlesbrough. Forest crashed heavily at Cardiff on Saturday but suffered from an early sending off.
It was their first defeat since Billy Davies took charge and having worked so hard to climb into a play-off spot they need to go again. A trip to Middlesbrough is at the moment one of the easiest in town with Tony Mowbray's side out of the play-off hunt after 13 defeats in 17 games.
Boro have lost their last six – five without scoring – and Forest should bounce back against an outfit low on confidence and keep up the pressure on the teams above them.
There are two other games in the Scottish First Division and I expect Falkirk to bounce back from their Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by beating Dumbarton at home.
It's Livi v Hamilton for the second time in four days. At the weekend it was 3-0 to Accies and although they say no two games are the same you have to fancy the away.
In my Daily Record column on Saturday I tipped Stevie May at 11-2 to score first and he went on to hit a hat-trick – his second in two matches. He'll be scaring the living daylights out of Livi and is 9-2 at McBookie.com to hit the opener again.
I'm putting up a five to follow for small stakes on other sides I like tonight, starting with Hamilton. Add Ipswich and MK Dons – check out Milesey's reasoning – and Scunthorpe who should win at skint and relegated Bury. Complete the fivefold with Chesterfield who must beat Plymouth at home to keep their League Two play-off hopes alive.

BET OF THE DAY
—————
Woking v Grimsby Town
Tuesday 19:45
Woking won a nine-goal thriller against Macclesfield on Saturday as they enhanced their reputation as one of the Blue Square Bet Premier’s most entertaining teams. Games involving Garry Hill’s side have averaged an incredible 3.41 goals per game, only a fraction second to struggling Southport’s on 3.42. That’s more than half a goal higher than the average for the whole division. Saturday’s game against Macclesfield summed up what has been a crazy season in the fifth tier. Woking raced into a 5-0 half-time lead against the troubled Cheshire outfit, but a second-half turnaround saw the away side get four goals back and miss a number of chances to level the game.
Grimsby Town are the visitors to Kingfield on Tuesday evening and with a playoff spot assured they will be making a number of changes to keep fresh legs for the end of season shoot-out. It’s worth noting that Grimsby away games are among the lowest scoring in the division, but three of their last four games on the road have produced over 2.5 goals. With Woking’s gung-ho style it’s well worth speculating that there will be another goal rush in west Surrey.
Recommended Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals at 1.8

ITALY: Serie B

Spezia V Cesena
Ten of Spezia’s last 12 Serie B home matches have gone Over 2.5 Goals and so have 8/11 Cesena away games.
Recommended Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.16 in Spezia v Cesena

Bit late for this one now……….. only just found it on my clipboard, not one i had a bet on anyway, so happy with my LAY on CARDIFF tonight.

LAY OF THE DAY
————–
Falkirk are lying third in the league which coincidently is where they finished last season. With only one team going up though, they have no chance of promotion as they are 23 points adrift of leaders Partick. Given that fact, the Scottish Cup has been their focus in recent weeks and the Bairns suffered terrible heartache at Hampden this past weekend.
The Bairns led Hibernian of the Premier League by three goals to nil at half time and looked certain to make it to the final for only the fifth time in the club’s 137 year history. Hibs produced a miraculous comeback though, forcing extra time and when Leigh Griffiths scored the winner in the 115th minute, Falkirk hearts were broken.
It will be interesting to see if Gary Holt can lift his player’s spirits back in the league as they had won their last four in a row prior to Saturday. I just have a feeling that they will be too deflated though, and interestingly, despite their good league form, Falkirk have won just one of their last three at home.
Dumbarton have slipped into the relegation play-off place after losing their last three on the spin. They are level on points with Cowdenbeath above them but have a vastly inferior goal difference. Tonight is their game in hand though so even a point would move them to safety, and with so few fixtures to go, it could prove vital come the end of the season.
Ian Murray’s men need to arrest this slide though and they need to stop conceding late goals. The Sons led at Hamilton in their last away match before conceding two in the last 10 minutes to lose 2-1. They then lost their next two at home, conceding another late winner to Raith last time.
On the road, Dumbarton have quite a decent record this term, as after losing their first four away from The Bet Butler Stadium, they have avoided defeat in eight of their next 12, winning seven of them.
Falkirk have to put their cup woes behind them but it will be very difficult for the manager to get over it that easily given the manner of their exit. They don’t have much to play for now and Dumbarton are fighting for their lives. That’s why, at around the 1.78 mark, I have to make Falkirk my lay of the day.
Recommended Bet
Lay Falkirk v Dumbarton @ 1.78
Mr F Scunny are at Bury NOT Burnley (away to Leeds)
Muzza, sorry just a typo.
I just heard on Talksport that Scunny price gone from 13/10 to 10/11 as Bury can barely field a squad and have all youth teamers on the bench.
Muzza, Bury only had three subs at the weekend, one reason why I picked Scunny.
THREE I LIKE FOR TONIGHT
CLIFTONVILLE 6/4..Away to Glentoran who sit 32 points behind the league champs and the reds beat the Glens 4-1 back in january. This is a dress rehersal for the cup final in 2 weeks, only negative is that having secured the lg im hoping they arent suffering any hangovers from the celebrations but i cant ignore those huge odds for a team that are not only unbeaten from the time Maggies b@lls first dropped but have WON every game also.
BALLYMENA UTD 23/20…away to Lisburn distillery who sit bottom of the lg having won only 2 from 17 at home and have only scored 1 goal conceding 12 from last 5 at home, this game comes on the back of a 7-0 thumping away to Glenavon who sit 7 points behind Ballymena.Ballymena were on a 9 game winless streak recently but have hopefully brought that to an end having won their last 2 4-1 away to donegal celtic { beat lisburn 1-0 away 2nd April} and a 6-1 home win over Portadown {beat Lisburn 5-0 away 20th March}..This to me points to an easy victory for Ballymena at good odds.
SLIGO ROVERS 5/6…Away to Drogheda in the setanta semi final 1st leg…On lg form this is a no brainer Sligo are the form team having won 8 from 8 scoring 19 conceding just 2 and already sit 13 points ahead of Drogeda at this early stage. This is a cup game so lg stats go out the window but their stats in this cup are very impressive too having won their quater final match against Glentoran 3-0 away and 5-0 at home,so they are taking this North/South cup seriously.
Other teams i like tonight include
LEEDS 6/4 at home to Burnley…new manager so that gives the team a much needed boost of energy as proved at the weekend when getting a 2-1 win after being a goal down to Sheff Wed.
Crusaders 6/10 ome to ballinamallard..crus 2nd in tbl 21 points ahead of opposition having recorded 3-1 and 2-0 victories over them this season. Slim odds reflect their supremacy.
Partick 4/9..won 12 drew 2 in last 14 and should claim another victory but at slim odds
Good luck with your selections.
Sean I like the look of the first 2 of your Irish tips. Looks a nicely priced Double.
Only 3 of my 6 tips won on a terrible night, let down by the normally ”banker” picks of Cliftonville,Sligo and Partick, apologies if any went on any of those 3 over anything id wrote, first time this season the 2 Irish teams have let me down…in the words of the legendary Greevsie ”footbaws a funny ol’ game saint”
Treble of Draws around the 43/1 mark

Goffin v Almagro
Odds: Bet365
Goffin 5.50
Almagro 1.14
Almagro showed somewhat of a meltdown against Isner in the Houston final in the US on Sunday, two days on and his back in action against a very stubborn Goffin. Almagro will likely be tired, jet lagged and still have the final defeat in the back of his mind.
Put that together with the fact that Goffin can be a nuisance to anyone on clay, last time out in the French Open he took a set from world No.3 Roger Federer and the fact that in the last 10 clay matches he has only lost to love once there is value here in the +Sets market.
My tip
Goffin +1.5 sets to beat Almagro
@ 2.66 Pinnacle
same again as last Tuesday Welsh Double on the cards this time 1 from Championship Group and the other from Relegation both teams away from home
TNS – not much to say champions and the best team in the Welsh Premier League by a country mile
Bala Town are on good form won there last 6 all rather convincingly 3 of which were away from home netting a total of 21 goals and conceding only 2 last goal conceded was 5 games ago on the 15th February the reverse fixture on 8th February seen Bala run out comfortable winners 3-1.
Prediction
Welsh Aways Double @ 2.87 Paddy Power or Coral

good to see my team scunthorpe on your tips mr f, im a youth player there the lads have been training hard!
Ben h, your results seem to be improving but I’ve got to be honest and say I’m backing you mainly because of Bury’s predicament. Relegated and struggling to fill a bench. But I’m pleased to hear you say the squad’s in good shape.
The kitty is a wee bit light today so hoping this wee accy comes in :

I don’t know whether the game is being played tonight or tomorrow as different sources are stating different kick off dates, however one game to look out for is Venezuelan Primera Division leaders, Zamora, playing at home against mid-table opposition, Tachira.
Table toppers Zamora, are flying high with 8 wins, 3 draws and only 1 loss in their 12 league games (27 points), scoring 26 and only conceding 9. They are currently in great form, winning their last 6 games, scoring an impressive 18 goals, conceding just 4.
Tachira currently occupy 10th position, with 4 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses (15 points), scoring 14 goals and conceding 12. Although they are unbeaten in two with a win and their latest result being a draw, these results were against opposition which rank lower than their position – 14th and 17th. Prior to these results, they had lost 5 and drawn 1, and have lost their last three away games, so while their last two results will give their players some confidence going into this match, getting anything from Zamora should prove to be a challenge too difficult to accomplish.
Odds for the home win are quite attractive at a best price of 1.85 with William Hill, with Sportingbet only offering 1.70.
osters v hacken btts 10/11 mortgage material :)
AS NANCY look a good value bet away to Troyes in the French Cup.
Troyes are bottom of Ligue 1, with just 2 wins from their last 10 matches, 5 draws & 2 defeats. AS NANCY are just a few places ahead of Troyes but are a side in better form with 5 wins in their last 7 games, with the only defeat coming in a narrow 2-1 loss at PSG. They seem to do well on the road with 6 wins in their last 10 away games, with 3 single goal losses at PSG, Toulouse & Montpellier and 1 draw in this period.
Available at 12/5 with betvictor
Hope you all avoided Nancy, they got humped 3-0!

Chris, I see you’ve latched on to May, hope you don’t jinx the boy now!
I took a look at tonights fixtures yesturday, and having slept on it, I havent changed my mind, and whilst Cardiff no doubt will be popular with many of you, Im taking them on. Charlton are flying at the moment and making a late push for the playoffs. Cardiff no doubt will have the champagne on ice, but i think Charlton will get a result. Charlton are 19/4 with betvictor and 10/3 DNB with betvictor.
Having seen Blackpool on tv recently, their pitch can only be described as a “bog” As you know I love a stat, and last night i looked back at recent games and found last 5 games only 3 goals scored, but more intresting is the fact that 10 of Blackpool last 11 games have gone under 2.5, and I see that happening again tonight.
Back to the premiership now and another stat for you in the last 16 away games Everton have played 14 of them have seen both teams to score, with Arsenal not being the most reliable at the back, I can see them conceding again.
the chief, I’ve got to disagree but that’s what it’s all about. I just feel Cardiff can be quite relaxed now, the hard part is done and they’ve just to get over the line. I’m sure they’ll want to do it at home in front of a full house. I know Charlton are on a decent run but the 6-0 at the weekend was after Barnsley had two men sent off and at the end of the day Cardiff are the best in the division.
1st Goal Scorer Bet
LYLE TAYLOR (FALKIRK) @ 10/3
NICKY CLARK (QOS) @ 3/1

Goalscorer bet is with mcbookie
AL, it’s a good way to do it. You’d fancy at least one to score first. Thought you might have stuck May in there.
I was going to mr f, but when I went into the match markets 1st goal scorer wasn’t there so put in Van Persie instead! What’s the odds Van Persie lets the treble down & May scores 1st!!
AL, best bookie for SFL scorers are McBookie, listed on their site for every game.
Yeah its mcbookie I used.
Just done the same bet with Taylor, Clark & May
The chief, was just about to do a write up on the Blackpool game, for the last few weeks I’ve been tipping both Doncaster and Blackpool under 2.5 and under 1.5 goals when they are the home team due to the fact you rightly pointed out, their pitches are tattie fields with not a blade if grass to be seen!
8/13 again under 2.5 tonight! Only concern is Wednesday have been scoring freely recently but they have been playing on bowling greens, haha!
Here’s a stat for you :) Padova’s last 9 home games have been under 2.5 goals with 7 of these games being under 1.5 goals! Same tonight?
there playing for there contracts mr f only 3 players signed on for next year.. I do think we will go down tho but thats good and bad, youth get a chance
Yeovil look overpriced and are currently trading at 15/8 away at Oldham….
Yeovil won their last 3 inc 2 away victories.
Oldham with one win in 5.
If Yeovil win tonight they go 2pts behind 2nd placed Bournemouth with 2 league games left. Surely theyll be pressing hard for automatic promotion?? Would like to hear other folks opinions on this game.
Looks as though there is value to be had tonight. Bolton 2/1 Ipswich 7/4
Willie, I looked at Oldham v Yeovil obviously. If I had to have a bet I’d go with the away but you have to factor in Oldham are fighting for their lives and need the points just as badly.
Paul
the more I look at this game I want to avoid.

Cardiff chesterfield blackburn Swindon st ettiene $20 pays $322 what do you think mr f. Certainty
Anyone thinking of backing Yeovil need to take into consideration that Gary Johnsons (Yeovil manager) son Lee Johnson is the recent new manager of Oldham and both teams will take a point – Yeovil for play off place & Oldham for relegation battle. At 12/5 this looks like a draw to me. Might even be one for in play punters if level with 20 mins to go in my eyes it will defo be a draw!
Muzza just clocked your comment after I had posted the same. Got to agree with you that a Point apiece might suit both and they can then share a beer after the game together in peace!
Muzza, I don’t think it will work like that. They’ll be trying to get one over each other.

Tips for the game
Calls for under 2.5 goals does surprise me a little. I can see why it’s being taken as the price is naturally just over two. But both these sides have been poor defensively this season, and with the added importance of this game, I fancy it to be pretty free flowing. Neither side is what I would call an ‘unders’ side either. Both are prone to silly errors at the back, and lapses in concentration.

One question daleboi…did your bookie thank you for your 4 quid? your returns for your £2 stake on each represent your chances…just being honest, good luck :)
Yeah your right a m guilty of always goin for the bigger wins… Thanks for your opinions though guys… Good luck with yours tonight…
Daleboi, the teams you’ve went for all have a chance of winning, getting a 225/1 line up is extreamly difficult though if not impossible!
You’d be better picking 3 or 4 and putting a fiver on it! Especially given most those teams are odds against it makes it even harder! It’s hard getting thatanu teams right even when they are 1/3 or 2/9 etc
Good luck though!
Arsenal Starting XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud

Worst day ever in terms of losing money on bets. Almost everything has gone against me. I had two trebles. Two of each won and the others included a draw and a loss (QoS!!!!!)
Draw no bet, 3 out of 7!. Backed Bayern Munich to win to nil. Wolfsburg score on the brink of half time! Why or why didn’t I just back them on the handicap!
Anyway, sorry for the rant, the world doesn’t just revolve around me. I’m sure others have had a bad day. Just really pissed off, mainly with myself.
I was planning on backing Zamora in Venezuela. Probably better to leave it the way my day has been going. I’ve pretty much destroyed my bankroll, may as well put whats left on it.
Dean, it was a bad night for betting, simple as that, and they happen. The Record are featuring three games tomorrow – Arsenal, Cardiff and Partick and all finished 0-0. That’s unreal.
Better to get it of your chest Dean, think a lot of people will be in the same boat tonight! :(
Greg, I’m feeling your pain. Had singles on Forest, Bolton and hull. So I’m down quite a bit aswell!! Looking for an over night game to get some back but not one of the best options when you’re in one of these moods. Might just go for it aswell!!
Nothing worse than losing money on first and last scorers when the game ends 0-0. Arsenal and Hamilton pretty boring but still a small profit tonight thanks to Mandzukic first goal @ 3/1 Anything is better then a loss I suppose. In kicking myself though because because when I had already lost on Vucinic yesterday kick off 7:45pm I was going to stick £50 ew double on Cazorla and Mandzukic First Goal. Both were 3/1 so would have gotten £1000 back for my £100. I know hindsight is a good thing but I was actually going to put the bet on but was on my iPhone at the time and Internet 3G was going very slow. Missed the Benfica kick off.
Some overnight action. Atlético Nacional vs Millonarios, kicking off at 2:10am. (Colombia Primera A)
Atletico National’s last 4 home games have ended (3-3, 5-2, 2-1, 3-1), they have been full of goals and opponents have been scoring as well. 2 out of the last 4 away games for Millonarios have also went Over 2.5 goals.
In total 7 out of the last 8 games for National at home have went Over 2.5 goals.
Bet365 have Over 2.5 goals marked up at 5/4.
I think it’s a pretty good bet considering the amount of goals Atletico National have been scoring and letting in at home recently.
i did say u dont thats what i said u dont
crazy reaults all round, new arsenal everton was gonna be a close game but didn’t see a shitty 0-0. oh well, man utd tomorrow then Hull on friday Bournemouth sat is gonna be ma saviour a hope
2moro’s another day and gud riddance to Brendon and his ilk with their narrow-mindedness who don’t understand the time and effort required for proper research. Keep up the great work it’s appreciated by many and the due dilligence will grow the pot just roll with the flow.
Scouseorca, there will always be good days and bad days.
tomorrow is another day but im busted skint and finished with gambling
brendan, how can I sue you if you’re skint?
sorry 4 my out burst im just had it
Brendan I hope for your sake you are, as sounds like you are playing with money you can’t afford to lose.
Is it not about time you gave milesey the dan mack?
He’s hopeless and just clogging up your site with long winded reasoning for backing something that probably isn’t going to make you money.
Graham, don’t read his stuff then. No one’s making you.
Graham
I agree with that
Mr F totally agree, hence my appreciation of the time and effort spent by all trying to give us some insight to make some money. My fault if I then spend it all on lager-berries :-)
carlsberg and gambling not a good mix scouse
Brendan
I agree
Leeds saved my ass .
Sticking to singles from now on.
Ithink it’s safe to say that my treble went tits up Mr F!, profitable for some I hope!..I had my beloved gunners dwn for a draw bt didn’t back it!, goin down slowly..I’m onto doubles now
Ur right Brendan, but as a toffee believe u me carlsberg was never my brew ;-)
carlsberg or chang what ever softens the blow
Brendan I feel for you as you obviously have a problem and you are losing money you can’t afford to. Still this doesn’t excuse you from blaming others. We all pick winners and losers, that’s the nature if the beast. Tonight results from a football perspective was not the best but all you have to do is look at all the comments and you will see most people lost. I was fortunate with my FGS coming up but apart from that I would have lost. Maybe try reducing your stakes so you can enjoy it better.
i did say sorry shit happens i should no better
Chris I agree their :-)
This sight used to be good
But lately I think theirs too many tips/ tipsters
Nothing against Mr fix it though .
I just think theirs too many
llb, too many? There are two and Bounty Punter when he returns from holiday.
If you don’t like a tip don’t back it; also if you are following blind then take the good with the bad.
Brendan, Estrella-Damm 4me defo one of the better local Spanish beers.
As Chris has just said, we all pick winners and losers.
One of my recent teams for betting has been in the indian league which I know nothing about, but I came across them about 6weeks ago while waiting for an aussie game on Bet365 window.
They where bottom of the league, but they had games in hand and their results against high teams where close. I watched in play(very poor standard tho) and have made money when so called certs have failed me.
Mohun Bagan have won their last five games are now 3 from bottom with a plus 5goal difference and still 2 games in hand. They play the top of the league on sun so will try and follow in play and may bet then. May lose as well, but I will hopefully add slowly to my pot, using the knowledge on here for pointers and unknowns.
Gud luck whether u choose to bet in the future or not.
thx scouse or blue nose toffee,i do have soft spot 4 everton as most irish do as u no,il try to learn from my mistakes,il look for that mad indian team.
one last beer in the fridge shall i drink it yes or no
brendan, I reckon you’ve already decided.
yep y not in 4 a penny in 4 a pound, sore head tomorrow and empty pockets
Strange results tonight, I’ve just watched the Arsenal v Everton game, how that ended scoreless I don’t know. Typically I had 3 teams on my shortlist for super single, the one I went with Watford lost. Cardiff won promotion, but didn’t win the game, DNB was the call in the end. The most profitable bet of the night was at Blackpool were yet again on that pitch the game went under 2.5 that’s now 11 in last 12.
Well done chief with the Blackpool bet, used to hate doing unders but it’s not an issue when Blackpool are involved! :) (3 goals in 6 games)
