EVERY Saturday William Hill's Owen Scott and McBookie's Paul Petrie do battle in the junior football challenge and their back after a festive break.
The dynamic duo will be putting up trebles every weekend and Owen leads the way with winnings of £206.48 to Paul's £95.54. Last week Owen came close to a big win with two out of three and his third side Hill of Beath drawing.
For those who don't know anything about junior football the level of the top clubs is equivalent or in some cases better than Scottish League 2 outfits and we can gauge that easier now with the champions of the three regions – North, East and West – qualifying to play in the William Hill Scottish Cup along with the Junior Cup winners.
The term “junior” has nothing to do with players' ages and it often confuses people outside Scotland. Some of the top clubs such as Auchinleck, Hurlford, Pollok, Bo'ness and Linlithgow pay bigger wages than most League 1 and League 2 teams and therefore attract players who could be plying their trade at a higher level.
McBookie list all games online and take bets on every junior match while William Hill only take bets in shops. Here is this weekend's tips from Paul and Owen.

Owen writes: I was let down by one last week but reckon I only need another two winners to show profit for the season.

It's the semi-finals 1st leg in the Scottish Junior Cup this weekend but I planned to avoid both even before Hurlford v Pollok was postponed.
Both top divisions in the East and West regions look like to be shaping up to be good title races and it's in the West I start my treble by taking Kilbirnie at 10-11 away to Irvine Meadow. Kilbirnie  have an outside chance of being involved at the top of the table and three points at struggling Meadow will help them.
In the East I'm on Tayport at 7-4 away to Musselburgh as they try to complete their great escape. A couple of weeks ago Tayport looked doomed at the foot of the table but have started picking up some valuable points.
I'm staying East for my final pick and I'm on Bo'ness at 1-1 away to Camelon. Camelon have loads of games still to play but I'm on Bo'ness to keep their title charge going.

Paul writes: First up I am backing Dundonald to beat Jeanfield at 7-5 in the East Region. It is second v top and is sure to have a massive bearing on the title destination. We slightly favour Jeanfield because of home advantage but I am never convinced that has too much bearing at this level so Bluebell look the value.

Next I am backing Dundee North End to beat Scone at 4-9. North End’s title ambitions look to be out of the window but they might still scrape a promotion place so this is a must-win game. They are in decent form and should be too strong for an inconsistent Scone team.

Finally, in the West Region I am backing Forth at 8-13 to beat East Kilbride Thistle. They are on a fantastic run and we now make them evens favourite for the title. These are the sorts of games they need to be winning if they are going to end up with the silverware.
