IT was a happy site on Wednesday – and to be honest that's the way it should be win or lose.
Results more than tips dictate how punters fare and with all of the popular favourites winning it wasn't difficult to make a profit. My 5-4 Super Single came in late and the 4-1 Top Treble landed fairly comfortably.
Fernando Torres netted the only goal as Atletico Madrid brought up the single and the treble was Sevilla, Juventus and both to score at Molde-Stromsgodset.
I was also confident about wins for Chelsea and Wolfsburg – in fact I backed them both -1 – but did suggest waiting for team news was the best policy.
My only loser on the night was a 0.5 anytime scorer treble that was beaten by Antoine Griezmann who nearly netted late on in Villarreal.
Thursday night is much quieter and I suppose most people will be looking at a Napoli/Valencia double. Napoli travel to Empoli while Valencia face a tricky trip to Rayo Vallecano. Also in La Liga Espanyol visit strugglers Granada and tempt me at odds of over 2-1. I've put up a separate post with team news and some reasoning.
In other games Eastleigh face Grimsby in the Conference play-offs and Gent face Anderlecht in the Belgian play-offs. Rio Ave tackle Braga in the Portuguese Cup, Galatasaray face Sivasspor i nthe Turkish Cup semi-final and there are league games in Sweden and Norway to look at.
Gala are involved in a tight title race and have played weakened line-ups in their cup run so check team news before rushing to back them. They've beaten Sivasspor 2-1 and 3-2 in the league this season so both to score could be the way to go in this first-leg clash.
After much thought I'm going with Napoli and Valencia not to lose as the Super Single – and yes I know it's not a single. I'm fairly certain the Champions League duo will win with Napoli looking to be the more reliable of the pair at the moment.
Five points of my hard-earned are on that and I'm putting the rest of mu profit on Gonzalo Higuain to score first for Napoli – so at the end of the day and month the worst I'll have done is break even.
For the Top Treble I'm starting with Valerenga who have been heavily tipped to beat Aalesund in Norway. Valerenga have started with three wins and draw while their opponents have picked up just one point and sacked their boss.
And here's a stat that can't be ignored – Aalesund have never won away to Valerenga, losing 12 and drawing two.
Stay in Norway and back leaders Rosenborg at home to Start. Rosenborg have started well with three wins a draw and a super goal difference of plus 14. Start aren't too bad and could score but I expect Rosenborg to stay top as they bid to regain their title.

Well..what you could do is watch the valencia game because it starts 45 minutes before the napoli game, if valencia is up and looking good.. i think theyll win. One of the teams (valencia or napoli) is gonna win i think, or both. The odds are high for wins for such high ranking teams. I dont think they both will lose tho. so you could cover just the napoli game if needed be
I have the same 2 teams on a 5 accumulator with wins for Juve and Athletico last night and Real Madrid at the weekend. Just need to see what the teams are tonight but will let it ride. I think Napoli will win but Valencia are my bogey side. My advice is check the teams, let it ride watch the first 10 mins or so and if you have a bad feeling check out, its all about how much you can check out with. Anyhow good luck.

Johnboy theres been alot of money put into bury. it was rumoured the new owners original plans for gigglane was for the land for property development as thats where he made his money. And it was refused planning. Since then hes had a change of heart put alot of money in the club and ground and somehow managed to get man citys old training ground which shows which way the club want to go. They were expected to win the league with the squad they had but think theyl take promotion happily. Dale, I just looked at Napoli’s away-only form; apart from winning last time away at Cagliari, and getting beaten by AS Roma, there were three losses to the likes of Palermo, Torino and Verona. WLLLL = Yikes! the Europa League trip to Moscow didn’t help their domestic form. Then I looked at the Opta trivia facts for Empoli-vs-Napoli (found it on oddschecker.) Double Yikes!
The Empoli draw no bet at Billyhill is 21/10, and I also saw Tonybet had Empoli (AH 0) at 3.30 decimal odds. So its much better than evens, I would put a tenner on that just to win back my £20 stake in the worst case scenario.

Managed to reduce my losses, taking over 1.5 goals shortly after the home team went 1-0 up as the away team were the better team to limit my losses. Bazbadbeat, that’s the only way to cover but it’s a better option than cashing out because of the bonus. If you let it run look at the options if Valencia take the lead.

Barrie, that’s the gamble. I’d put £200 on the evens bet and keep an eye on the inplay markets but it doesn’t matter what I’d do – only you matter here. How much do you need the money is probably the most important question. Anyway, off to walk the dug with an RFO.

A lot of the games I’m putting money on I’m finding there always missing a penalty. One day last week I had three games (backed goals) where they missed penalties. I wouldn’t want to put anyone off Parnu but they shoudnt be backed willy nilly.The first thing is theyre in a different league.It could be that this season Parnu will score a lot less but concede even more.Theres a few teams with below 4 goal averages in it.Going on last seasons stats todays opponents Tallinna Infonet had an avareage of 3.4.It was 4 in the home matches but just 2.8 away.Conversely Parnu were averaging 4.5 at home but a massive 5.8 on the road.Id wait a couple more games before puting big bucks on it and to see if theres going to be any big differences in home/away averages not just for Parnu but the team theyre playing as well.
tonytanaka, all I’d say about Parnu is if you’ve backed them every time the likes of Greg Browning has advised you’ll excuse them one loss if it happens.
Mr F,Absolutely backing Parnu last season with level stakes every week would have you well ahead.The change in league could mean theres even more goals in their games.Just don’t want people thinking its a shoe in.There will be blips,last season they had 10 out of 36 games which were under 4,the same number as Puuma, another team in that division.Seven of those were home matches.All Im saying is that if you wait a bit your far more likely to spot and avoid some of the blips and be even further ahead.

Viborg ive noticed against the lesser opponents seem to gain alot of corners and against tougher opponents theyve been lucky to get any more than 4. agf are only 4 points behind so viborg could do with the win to distance themselves as last few results havnt been great. i think theyl be at veijle from the off so will keep an eye on race to 5 and race to 7 corners inplay. Wouldnt go beyond that though.

I cashed out last saturday when i made a bet at half time consisting of swansea at a tasty 3/1 and hearts, absolutely sick to my stomach when hearts scored a penalty in injury time. Nijmegen have the league wrapped up but could hit 100 goals with 3 goals today. Would be rude to get so close to the milestone and fail. Jong Ajax have lost 8 out of 10 and I remember Mr O saying that they can’t be relegated or promoted so they have no real fight in them. They’ve lost by -1 in 5 of the 8 losses and Nijmegen have walked through most teams in the league, winning 16 games on the bounce scoring 46 goals in those 16 games.
Too much research and I think my brain has signed off – wrote a big post trying to justify a 78/1 double in copa colombia but it doesn’t seem to have posted correctly.
