IT'S time to whittle down the picks for Saturday and here is my shortlist.
These are taken from looking at form and stats – team news is yet to be checked.
All picks are evens or above so let's your comments on these potential Super Singles – and let's see if any need to be eliminated early.
Super Single Shortlist
MAN UTD -2 v Aston Villa
Everton v SOUTHAMPTON
Charlton v DERBY to score 2+
ROTHERHAM v Nottm Forest
CHESTERFIELD v Sheffield Utd
Shrewsbury v BRADFORD
HARTLEPOOL -1AH v York
Mansfield v NOTTS COUNTY
ST MIRREN v Morton
STRANRAER v Dunfermline
Soton’s record at Goodison park is poor
benjamin, to be honest Southampton was the last one I put in there. They won’t be the Super Single.
Like all of those Mr F apart from Everton losing they are due a win and with the FA cup semi coming up players have a lot to prove.
I don’t tip often – but Hartlepool to win vs York @11/10 ( Bet365) looks very tasty.
Hartlepool under Hignett have been playing well. 7th in form table. And even better at home – 3 wins on spin and 4th a draw vs champions elect Northampton ( when they were flying ). York on the other hand show no form with only 1 win away all season and 6 draws.
Yes they need something to stay alive – but they have been saying that for weeks and not shown any real upturn.
Hence my reasoning for this as My NAP of Saturday.
Good luck
Mr F, sorry don’t fancy any of those
go for Newcastle to beat Swansea
last ditch attempt
radgie gadgie, I hope you win but I won’t be backing Newcastle against an on-form Swansea.
Yes Hartlepool straight win looks top bet at 11/10
Man Utd at minus 2? I don’t know about that. I might try minus 1!
Time for the madness
Man U -1
Hartlepool
Arsenal
Spurs
Over 2.5
Newcastle
Derby
Man U
Brentford
St Albans City vs Havant
Conference South

St Albans dead and buried a few weeks ago former Arsenal player and Boreham Wood asst. Ian Allinson takes over and
they have clawed back the other teams. Last 2 games were away against high flyers Maidenhead and Hemel resulted in 4 points.
Much like your -2 h/c on Derby last week – which landed, again I’m 50/50 on this one of Derby to score 2 or more. It really is Sh&t or bust for Charlton, and whilst Bolton had been awful all season and Derby were sitting on a magnificent run of home results, this match is away from home. Our away form has been everything but stellar since the new year. Maybe on paper, this is the easiest of our remaining games and we know that at minimum, we have to match or better the results of the teams from 3rd down to 7th. Its pleasing that we beat Bolton, not because of the fact it sent them down but because sometimes these teams right at the bottom have a new lease of life – look at Rotherham and Bristol.
On the plus side from a Derby perspective, something has appeared to click into place for us and it has shown with some impressive scorelines – 8 goals in 2 games and conceding 1 ( penalty ) – but both at home. We used to have a terrific away record, but those days are long gone. I’d be expecting Derby not to lose this game, but its certainly in the high 80%’s that we’ll grab all 3 points. We also know we only need 2 wins and 1x slipup from Cardiff to guarantee a playoff spot. Charlton won’t be a pushover – ( our record in the capital is horrible ) , but our recent form might just be enough to sneak a narrow 1 goal win. If we achieve that, i’ll be very happy, anything more is a bonus.
nathanufton, away from home it can always go wrong but I quite fancy Derby to get the job done.
