FOOTBALL'S back … proper football that is. The type of games I like to look at and bet on.
I had a disappointing run over the last week of international friendlies and lower-league games that meant I went from profit to a March loss.
While we're talking figures well done to Jordan for his 30pts profit and huge congratulations to Johnb on the racing thread. For those who don't follow the horses our men ended March with a quite incredible 250pts profit.
All the usual tipsters will be out to make April a good one so watch out for football tips from Greg Browning, Desmond and Scott Allot whose European tips will again be free for everyone to view after being for members only in March.
Also at the start of April we have a new top tips betting partner in GentingBet so I'll be quoting their odds where possible. I've been playing about the site and it's pretty user friendly with coupons in markets such as btts, btts and win, UK long list and Euro Elite list. I particularly like their Acca Insurance where you'll get your money back if one team beats you in a 5+ accumulator.
Today the only game in England is QPR v Middlesbrough although there is non-league action as Cheltenham tackle Grimsby. QPR have found form under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and I don't see them losing.
La Liga returns to action with Rayo v Getafe and remember El Clasico is on Saturday night – and I'd fancy Barcelona strongly if it hadn't been for some long-haul flights undertaken by Messi, Suarez, Neymar and co.
In the Bundesliga we have Bayer Leverkusen v Wolfsburg and in France Monaco host Bordeaux. Wolfsburg face Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek as they try to close the gape on fourth-placed Schalke.
Bayer are also in the running for the final CL slot and goals could be the way to go here. It was 5-4 to Wolfsburg in this fixture last season and five of the last six have seen both scoring.
Monaco beat PSG 2-0 at the Stade de France last time but the champions were less than focused. Still, it proves Monaco's quality and they are unbeaten in eight in the league. Second spot isn't yet secured so they'll be going all out for the points against a Bordeaux side without a win five.
In Portugal Benfica look a good shout at home to Braga. Benfica have won 12 games in a row in all competitions after losing to Porto back in December. They are 4-7 at GentingBet.
That's just some of the highlights and for many regulars on here they'll be targeting the less glamorous League of Ireland, Ligue 2 and Jupiler League for mainly goals tips.
Unfortunately I don't have much time for tips on a Friday as I have a deadline to meet for my Saturday Daily Record column. I'd love to wade through the fixtures and research goals bets but on a Friday it's never going to happen.
So I'm starting the month slowly with a Super Single double on Monaco not to to lose – they should win but the last four playings of this one have ended all square so I'll keep the stalemate on side. Add both to score at Leverkusen which should happen based purely on stats.
For a low-stakes treble it's QPR not to lose and on-form Benfica to win. I was going to add Dundalk at home to Derry in the clash of the top two in the League of Ireland but have gambled on the bigger price of over 2.5 goals.
Both sides have started with four wins out of five and Derry have netted six in their two away games. Over 2.5 goals has come up in five of the last seven meetings between the sides in Dundalk.

Good morning all,
I’m a first time poster but long time follower – I’d like to say, you guys (Greg Browning, Mr Fix It, Jordan, Kelly D, Alves and many more not mentioned – including Sly & Raal many years ago you may remember Greg) have provided some fantastic tips over the time I’ve been visiting MrFixItsTips and it’s time I contributed myself.
I’m mainly stats based myself but don’t fully take that into consideration when putting a bet on – I’d say 70% stats, 30% form, current circumstances etc. So for my first contribution I’d like to provide my input into the Aussie A-league game WSW v Central Coast (9:40am UK Time)…
Western Sydney can go top of the A-league (again) this morning with 3pts against a very poor travelling Central Coast Mariners. WSW do like a corner and on average have gained 6.84 in this seasons A-league. Historically though this tie has been a lot closer than the odds are suggesting for this particular game and I suspect Central Coast won’t get as much of a battering as we may think (queue the 5-0!) – whilst I do think WSW will win, I think CCM won’t back down that easily and will grab a few corners here, +3.5 is a bit risky @ 9/10 but the 4/5 for over 10.5 Asian Corners with Bet365 seems reasonable. I’m extremely confident WSW will score and CCM have scored 8 from their last 7 games…so putting a slightly risky small stake on BTTS @ 9/10

I didn’t get to see your tips earlier gregbrowing sir but well done but I would like to say keep tipping the late goal fortress that is loftus road because we attack well but cant defend for peanuts so its not a surprise there is regularly late goals, lost 3-2 tonight, onuoha is a shocking defender and regularly gifts a goal or two and did so again tonight so add that to our half reasonable attack it is a solid tip regarding the late goal, would have been another goal late as well if the bloody assistant referee had not chalked one off incorrectly ( should never be a proper ref if he cannot see a ball had not gone out over the byeline, and probably not an assistant either, he will probably end up being a traffic warden lol sorry rant over ) well done again gl all
