GABRIAL'S STAR (4.30) can overcome a 6lb penalty in the stayers' handicap at Wolverhampton.
The top weight thumped Bertie Moon by 11 lengths at Southwell last week and has winning form on today's Tapeta surface, scoring off a mark of 83 here in May. Gabrial's Star has dropped to a rating of 76, which includes his penalty, so remains well handicapped on his best form. He's a stout stayer, so a solid end-to-end gallop would help his cause.
FAIR FRANK (3.20) showed precious little in his previous bumper/hurdle runs but was a revelation when sent over fences at Southwell.
He was slick over his obstacles and made all to win easily. The ground was good that day and Fair Frank will encounter similar underfoot conditions at Leicester today.
ROTHMAN (2.40) could be the each-way play if all eight runners stand their ground in the 2m 4f handicap at Plumpton.
He ran course specialist Ding Ding to a length here on his last outing and was good enough over fences last year to chase home the smart Foxtail Hill at Ascot.
