THE track will be riding testing at Newmarket so soft-form horses are the order of the day.
KASBAAN (2.15) made it look easy when scoring at Lingfield and should make a winning handicap debut returned to the turf. Owen Burrows’ colt meets some fairly exposed rivals and he acquitted himself on soft at Newbury last October when fourth in a decent novice stakes.
LADY ARIA (1.40) had no trouble landing the odds at Haydock and she is the one to beat in the Listed fillies’ event. Michael Bell’s filly was beaten a neck over course and distance (soft) in August.
Graceful Lady trotted up by 10 lengths at Newbury last week and will clearly take some stopping in the 2m handicap, even though she is 4lb out of the handicap. AL KOUT (2.50) keeps knocking at the door and remains in good nick judged on his narrow defeat at the hands of The Knot Is Tied at Haydock (heavy) a fortnight ago.
WINSTON C (3.25) chased home The Grand Visir at Doncaster (good to soft) on his second start for Harry Fry since leaving Michael Bell and is due to go up 3lb in future.

i never understood phone calls, people “in the know” may like their horse but they typically have no way of knowing about the other horses in the race, i think your last phone call was a stinker too… time to block that number once and for all.

AL KOUT has cost me more than any horse, in just two races. He has gone up another 2lbs, and up in class today and despite connections winning the last race he has to be a lay despite his losing distances being minimal. Also, he had a 5lb claimer on last time and not this time, so is effectively a lot heavier.

looks like K T O’Neill has switched from newmarket earlier to kempton tonight so i will have number 8 in
the first race and see what happens !

I like KTO, pops up now and then with a few big priced winners. not sure he will be doing so tonight however, his ride in the last has small place claims I suppose but I wouldn’t invest more than a bluey.
Elsewhere in the 815, now theres been a decent drift on her, PERFECT LADY, may well be an ew option, not raced for over 200 days, tonight she makes her handicap bow off of 67. This horse was 3l behind Rip Orff in his first win, who was rated 79 that day, Rip Orff gone on to big things rated almost 20lbs higher now and has won from 93. ON THAT ALONE, without considering anything else, 9/1 looks a decent ew shout. NEZAR is also in the race, 2lbs above his last winnning mark, which was over the same distance, Ivory has been in form recently too and I remember Nezar winning for me last year at 20s.
