RAVEN BANNER (7.10) hasn’t been missed by the handicapper following her 10 lengths romp in first-time cheek-pieces at Doncaster but she is clearly thriving.

Ivan Furtado’s mare has been raised 12lb but the form of her earlier close second to course specialist Bartholomew J back in May has worked out well, suggesting Raven Banner could still be ahead of the game at Epsom this evening.

Locally-trained CORAZON ESPINADO (7.40) has acquitted himself well in higher grade since scoring over course and distance in April and Simon Dow’s colt makes plenty of appeal.

Karl Burke is worth following at Carlisle where he saddles DIZZY G (5.00) and HAVANA MARIPOSA (5.35) with decent prospects.

Dizzy G scored at Windsor and a fixed penalty couldn’t prevent her following up at Newbury 10 days later. She is clearly a filly right at home on fast ground and Clifford Lee takes off 3lb.

Havana Mariposa shaped well over course and distance when caught by Kalagia and she is another three-year-old filly open to some improvement.

Recommended bets

  • Epsom 7.10 – Raven Banner (7-4, Paddy Power)
  • Epsom 7.40 – Corazon Espinado (5-2, Betfair)
  • Carlisle 5.00 – Dizzy G (9-4, bet365)
  • Carlisle 5.35 – Havana Mariposa (3-1, bet365)

Thanks for the tips yesterday John. Put your selections in a trixie and it paid handsomely. And I did the same with Alan’s. Can’t remember the last time two trixies landed

Thanks. I Just put on the earlier racing thread. I was on your last two tips and put them in a treble for a boxing bet this weekend, looking good that one.

      Cheers Mr JB.

Hey, out of interest who is your boxing pick? I’m a kean punter on the gloved sport myself.

Tyrone Zeuge to win 1/3 bit short but got him as last leg of a few accas.

Also Zeuge to win on points 5/6 with bet365.

He will have a home crowd and likely a ‘home decision’. I believe Fielding will do himself proud but ultimately lose out on the cards.

Clemmie out tomorrow. Last chance saloon imo. Had 2 runs back since injury both she was meant to come on. If nothing is shown tomorrow clearly the injury was bigger than reported. Shame if so, she looked a star.

Well I have knocked racing on the head but on payday I will have a dabble to try spin it up. I have had a hectic day and not stopped until now, I randomly sit down and check this site for thr first time this week and Alans headline tip is set to race in 2 minutes, I was not keen on the 11/4 as he quoted 7/4, but I stuck 20 on it and I guess some things are predetermined afterall, a photofinish where he looked beat for most of the race, cheers Mr Money.
