HAMLUL (3.30) sticks out for Sir Michael Stoute at Beverley.

Her fifth to Elasia at Newcastle is a strong bit of form with runner-up Ben Vrackie and third Recordman decisive winners since that run.

SILVER CRESCENT (4.40) and Moon of Baroda, both improving three-year-olds, could fight out the finish. Ralph Beckett’s Silver Crescent ran third to Asoof at Newbury and just gets the nod.

GEORGE (3.10) made all to score nicely at Chelmsford City last month and a 4lb rise may not prevent an action replay over a mile at Salisbury.

CRYSTAL HOPE (3.40) is a very lightly race Stoute filly with leading claims in the Listed contest. She hasn’t been seen on the track since running third to Sea of Class at Newbury in May. Market rival Rasima finished fifth to Sea of Class the following month, again at Newbury, and little separates the pair. The more exposed Chain Of Daisies usually comes into her own in the second half of the season.

We’ll done uncle Pom top tipping ! Are your selections system or form based ? Do you have Any do and don’t when it come to making your selections thanks and keep and the good work

    • uncle pom 6 years ago

The selections are personally mine, I’ve had years of ups and downs when it comes to selections. Years of study and a love for the sport and everything the sport has to offer helps.

I use everything I can to make a selection.

      – weight
      – form
      -trainers form
      – jockey
      – the horses action
      – look of the horse ( ears , head carriage, size, scope etc..)
      – years and years of knowledge of blood and pedigree is very important.
      – knowledge of tracks and how it effect horses, something as simple as salt air at Brighton for instances can effect some horses.
      And many other things.

I use a point system for my own personal use. I only every back my selections.

Above all, never bet more than you can afford.

One last question uncle Pom if a horse had only ever run on a flat track and today it’s stiff uphill is there anyway of knowing if the horse will act on the stamina track ? Thanks

    • uncle pom 6 years ago

Hard question to ask, a lot would depend on.

      – his previous run ( style, knee movement, dominant foot)
      – pedigree, stamina in family, has the trainer had horses with similar blood , tried in the same way.
      – home bred horse or bought in.
      – where is he trained, knowing the gallops avalible to that horse.
      – trainers local track

There are a lot more factors to take into consideration unless you can watch his work outs etc ..
