FLOWER POWER (4.40) has been a model of consistency this season and a winning opportunity presents itself at Catterick.

Tony Coyle’s mare posted another solid effort when third to Chebsey Beau over 1m 6f at Musselburgh last time and this drop in trip won’t inconvenience the top weight.

At Bath, KIRKLAND FOREVER (4.55) is fancied to supplement her recent Brighton success. She was well on top at the finish and a 5lb rise isn’t too draconian.

Recommended bets

  • Catterick 4.40 – Flower Power (7-2, bet365)
  • Bath 4.55 – Kirkland Forever (3-1, William Hill)

    for those with long memories 2000 champion chase winner and king George winner edredon bleu died over the weekend.
    was trained by Henrietta knight about that time and owned by the same guy that had best mate, jim lewis.,
    he still holds the record for the fastest ever 2 mile chase time at Cheltenham, sad when these horses you grow up with die. he had a good retiremement with former jockey graham thornier and reached the age of 26.

    todays losing bets are
    motueka 3-25 newton abbot 6-4 nap
    on demand 2-55 newton abbot 11-8 nb
    Valhalla 4-00 newton abbot 7-2. {wont be as fit as the 2 favourites but its tizzard so you never know round here}

            Yo elvis said it months back you are consistent mate. Cheers for the nap, short priced likelys are very useful to me in my hunt for trebles, I had yours with MONEY Thompsons 2, Kirkland was void so I just landed a nice bet, wouldve had nearly 4 figures going on Kirky but after a 4 figure loss last week I am delighted with that.

      Jumps season kicking in now uncle Pom.
      Do you get good returns on jumps like you been getting recently on the flat ?.
      Could be a profitable winter if so …

      • uncle pom 3 weeks ago

        about the same mate flat racing goes on to the all weather and still continues around the world, so I will still be looking at that.

        But I will have jumps selections up as well.
