The Saint Greg Browning’s Tips: Celtic can be corner kings

IT'S a real tough gig for punters tonight, cup games are a minefiled at the best of times but even more so so early in the season.

Have picked out a selection of matches from tonight and it's more than I’d normally post but will be keeping stakes sensible.

Scottish Challenge Cup

The young colt teams usually struggle in this as it's men v boys in a lot of the ties. Five of the colt teams were eliminated in the opening round last season and I would expect the same again tonight. For me you have to stick to goals in these matches and there were plenty last season.

Young Jambos scored plenty of goals last season and welcome a Ross County side who are certainly going about there business the right way after back-to-back league wins. Haven't seen team news for this but we should expect both sides to score.

Hibs were the stand-out team last season cruising to the league title and were a big favourite of mine from a betting perspective due to the number of goals in their matches. Reasonable to expect more of the same tonight as they have some cracking young players.

AEK Athens v Celtic (7pm)

It was a really horrible result for Celtic conceding that away goal last week and they have an uphill battle to qualify for the play-off round. That said they still have enough quality to go there and get a positive result.

They know they have to score while iIwould say AEK’s strength is defensively so Celtic will have to attack and be a bit more penetrating and direct than they have been in recent matches. That then brings us on to corners Celtic to have more corners looks a strong possibilty and is worth backing.
