Sep 7: Mr Fixit’s Top Tips

MRF_TopTips_Marathonbet

LOST in France – I’m sure there was a song about that and it was the cry from a lot of punters on Wednesday night.

France’s failure to beat Belarus downed my accumulators and my challenge bet and contributed to a Bet of the Day loss by not scoring.

My tennis Super Single was also a loser and well done to Johnb who said he thought Gael Monfils would beat Lucas Pouille in straight sets.

The second Super Single was void after Jo-Wifried Tsonga retired with an injury after going 2-0 down to Novak Djokovic. The stake returned on that I’m reinvesting on Andy Murray -1 against Kei Nishikori and Juan del Potro to beat Stan Wawrinka in tonight’s US Open quarter-finals.

Murray will win 3-0 if he plays like he did against Grigor Dimitrov and could lose if he performs as he did in the previous round against Paolo Lorenzi.

Del Potro is on the rise again after recovering from injury problems and showed against Murray in the Olympics final he’s ready to go compete with the best. He should beat Wawrinka who has made it this far after surviving a match point against England’s Dan Evans.

Wednesday and Thursday are quiet days ahead of a packed weekend and I don’t think I’ll be putting up any football tips before Friday and that will give me more time to study the weekend card.

Remember to check out WeLoveBetting for their latest tips and video chat.

    Another early bet for Saturday as there’s a big price difference in prices and I’m sure they’ll drop as expected he starts. Schviatchenko scored in the semi last season after coming on as sub in the 1st half. Rangers have been poor in defence and conceded from corners in the final too. He’s 33/1 1st goal, 20-25/1 elsewhere apart from BV who go 30/1. 12/1 anytime also and as low as 6/1 at BF with BV going 9/1 next best price.

    Schviatchenko 1st goal 33/1 & anytime 12/1 @Coral

    Must rank as one of France’s worst results in a while Mr F – their starting lineup probaly worth around £300million be lucky if Belarus was a tenth of that

    Crazy amount of goals in the conference north and south again tonight! Scratching my head wondering how I only managed two winners from 5 when Dundee were 3-0 up against 10 men with 30 minutes to play and Their were 17 goals in my overs treble but was a goal short, haha

    Big weekend coming up – quiet few days at the paper? Haha!

    Wide awake and gonna stream some late night football on 365. The Venezuela vs Argentina game has caught my eye with Venezuela available at Evens @ Betstars to nab a goal against Argentina. They managed to notch a goal in there game back in June in the Copa America against a much stronger Argentinian outfit and are an excellent price to do so again tonight.

    Small stake
    Venezuela Over 0.5 team goals

    **WON** – What a goal! :)

      Good news for Celtic is Messi is a doubt and Suarez and Neymar have of course been in South America for qualifiers.
      It will be a Barcelona win for me no matter what but it might not be a big one. Most of the meetings between the sides have been close bar the last one.

    Hey Mr F, just wanted your advice when you have a spare couple of minutes. Ive received an unexpected email from BetVictor, “Dear Kyle, We are contacting you today to advise that a business decision has been taken by our Senior Traders and I must inform you that we will no longer accept sports bets from your account number” I am unsure what I have done to warrant this decision as im not exactly taking them to the cleaners, im pretty much up and down with my betting like a yoyo with them and have been for the last 3 years since ive been able to start betting. Im no direct threat to there business. Was just wondering if there was any way I could some sort of appeal and what I could do to make them reverse there decision?

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 3 months ago

      Usually when traders make the decision it’s final. As I’ve said before it’s nothing to do with how much you win or lose – it’s your betting patterns they don’t like.
      You can appeal it and ask for some clarification but you’re unlikely to get anywhere.
      Like it or lump it bookies are business earning money for shareholders.
      So they don’t want shrewd customers – they want losing customers and that’s a reality.
      Luckily for you there are plenty of firms out there who will take your business.

      I’ve had the same kind of thing happen to me with Boylesports. I can no longer bet with them. They didn’t even send me an e-mail, I found out on chat when I queried it.
      At the time I’d started doing bets such as over 0.5TG in doubles at odds of around evens (Boylesports normally offer the better odds). They probably saw it is as relatively low risk betting that in the long run would end in profit.
      Problem with these bookies they would rather somebody would put on £5 long shot accumulators every week.

      • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
        Mr Fixit 3 months ago

        Yeah they don’t like over 0.5 goals bets.
        That’s why I mainly do my team to score Bets of the Day in shops.
        You can’t be monitored in shops.

        • Profile photo of kyle b
          kyle b 3 months ago

          Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. You can be monitored in shops Mr F, I worked part time at Hills while im at university for nearly a year, I finished there a couple of month ago. They keep a database with monitored customers on with profit/ loss on different sports with a comment section on particular bets to watch out for. We got told that with a number of customers that we had to PTL there bets before accepting them. I wouldnt be surprised if you are getting monitored at all your local bookmakers Mr F 😉 Boylesports are great for goal bets and consistently have the best odds, I hope the same thing doesn’t happen to me (Not anytime soon anyway) Youve probably had too many winners while I struggle to breakeven Craig, I suppose there are plenty of other bookies but incredibly annoying getting removed from the best ones :(

          • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
            Mr Fixit 3 months ago

            It’s much harder to be monitored in shops and when I say shops I mean use different shops – and also look at the new self-service betting terminals.
            There are dozens and dozens of shops within a few miles of my house.
            Obviously it’s easier if you’re going into the same one all the time.
            I might be monitored but I don’t do serious stakes in shops as they odds are worse.

    Romania League Cup
    CFR Cluj – ASA Tg. Mures
    CFR :
    – during the week of the championship was interrupted CFR Cluj lost no less than 4 players Cristian Lopez, Davide Petrucci, Jakolis and Guima, scorers of 8 from 10 goals this season,
    – Cluj have tried to cover holes and quickly brought Rus, Gomelt on loan from Bari;
    – CFR defeated only once in six matches in Ligue 1 hopes to qualify for the first time in the semifinals. Two years ago, Cluj were eliminated by Poli Iasi and last year lost to Dinamo ;
    – CFR Cluj managed to eliminate the CSU Craiova in the first round of the League Cup, in a match which was finished only after shootout , the score was 0-0 after 120 minutes;
    ==============================================
    ASA Targu Mures :
    – In round 1 of the League Cup, ASA Targu Mures managed to pass over Gaz Metan Medias, 2-0;
    – after the first 6 rounds, ASA ranks 13th in Ligue 1 being still at -6 because of a penalty. ASA has 6 consecutive defeats, being the only team in Ligue 1 who has not accumulated any points so far;
    – in 3 of the last 4 matches played in Ligue 1, ASA Targu Mures received 3 goals, having one of the worst defenses in Ligue 1 ;
    – last season, ASA Targu Mures was eliminated in the quarterfinals , Concordia Chiajna won 1-0;
    – just when things seemed to be joined on track, Daniel Stanciu (club manager) said it is possible that the ASA to conclude its work in December at the end of the autumn season;
    ==============================================
    – CFR an offensive team, lost almost all scorers and Miriuta will need time to restore his team’s offensive appetite, Roman came in place of Lopez, who has not scored any goals in 5 matches at Poli Iasi and Omrani from Marseille only goal scored in January 2015 😉 on away at Montpellier
    – given that ASA undergoing a very bad form and CFR Cluj is a strong team at home I think Cluj start with the first chance in this game, although last home game CFR Cluj won 5-1 against Astra, this time i think CFR will win this match but with not more then 2 goals , considerig that in recent weeks , lost almost all scores,
    ==============================================
    Bet : CFR Cluj – ASA Tg. Mures – CFR to win by 1 goal @ 3.55 , by 2 goals @ 4.35 Unibet
    😉

    I’ve been mulling over something I read between ( sir ) Jordan and ( King ) Wato, in which both highlighted the importance of clarity on loss/profit. Initially, my reaction was each to their own, something I still stand by, but on a personal level it’s a very valid notion, and a notion I intend to adhere to. Over the season surely it can only help improve discipline, something that is ‘core’ to gambling. It’s not going to be easy for me to keep records, currently I have two jobs and i’m in my final year of 7, studying for a degree in history!…..that’s not to mention two young boys and wife! Anyhow my intentions are true.Posting early doors for a game in conference this Saturday, don’t believe odds will remain as they currently stand.

    ALDERSHOT v Chester 4/5. 1 pt.
    ALDERSHOT over 1.5 TGS 4/5. 1 pt.
    ALDERSHOT to score before 42 mins 5/6. 1 pt.

    SUMMARY: Gary Waddocks return to the Shots has given the club and fans a huge lift, and by all accounts the stadium has been rocking ! They aim to continue their 100% home record against CHESTER, a side that despite a change of manager still continue produce woeful performances on the road. Please look away now Chester fans, last 25 away games, won 4, drawn 4 and lost 17! In those games they’ve managed just 2 clean sheets! McCarthy has been talking about prioritising games, and possibly packing his midfield for certain fixtures, something quite likely this coming weekend. The Shots are playing free flowing attacking football, as Tranmere witnessed last weekend, and given Chester’s track record of conceding goals, early ones a current trend, I can’t see anything else but a home win and at least a couple of goals!

    Well, the Ronseal bet came in – Darlo Over 1.5 tgs and had a lovely top-up when drifted to 11/10 earlier from evens.

    Over 2.5 tgs and over 3.5 mgs were a whisper away with County dragging one across the goal line on ’83 then even closer with Darlo’s Cartman (noticed South Park were playing tonight in the Ryman as well) hit the fecking bar and post on ’87 which would’ve sealed the deal 😂
