LOST in France – I’m sure there was a song about that and it was the cry from a lot of punters on Wednesday night.
France’s failure to beat Belarus downed my accumulators and my challenge bet and contributed to a Bet of the Day loss by not scoring.
My tennis Super Single was also a loser and well done to Johnb who said he thought Gael Monfils would beat Lucas Pouille in straight sets.
The second Super Single was void after Jo-Wifried Tsonga retired with an injury after going 2-0 down to Novak Djokovic. The stake returned on that I’m reinvesting on Andy Murray -1 against Kei Nishikori and Juan del Potro to beat Stan Wawrinka in tonight’s US Open quarter-finals.
Murray will win 3-0 if he plays like he did against Grigor Dimitrov and could lose if he performs as he did in the previous round against Paolo Lorenzi.
Del Potro is on the rise again after recovering from injury problems and showed against Murray in the Olympics final he’s ready to go compete with the best. He should beat Wawrinka who has made it this far after surviving a match point against England’s Dan Evans.
Wednesday and Thursday are quiet days ahead of a packed weekend and I don’t think I’ll be putting up any football tips before Friday and that will give me more time to study the weekend card.
