JO KONTA is the new British women’s No.1 and aims to celebrate by taking the scalp of two-times Grand Slam champ Victoria Azarenka early on Tuesday morning.

Sydney-born Konta – who blazed a trail to the US Open fourth round earlier this month – replaces Heather Watson at the top of the rankings.

Konta takes on title favourite Azarenka in round two of the Wuhan Open in China and is 19-5 at Marathonbet who make the former world No.1 3-13 while over 2.5 sets pays 23-10.

British men’s No.2 Aljaz Bedene is also in action in China this morning, taking on Mikhail Youzhny at the Shenzhen Open. Bedene is the 25-19 underdog at Marathonbet while Youzhny is 5-6 at Boylesports.

There’s one Rugby World Cup match today with Tonga tackling Namibia in Pool C while other highlights include international cricket and Major League Baseball. Good luck with your bets and post your sporting tips and thoughts here.

    Hi guys

Can i ask for some of your thoughts plz on this in my local shop wales -14 are evens i cant see this bein beat as i think it be over 20 what do yous think

  12. Aye Right 2 years ago

Dazzler which one do you feel is the most likely?

  13. re-invented 2 years ago

Tennis enthusiasts?? So I’ve just been reading an article which claims although it can’t be proven tennis matches are fixed very often. Because it’s easier for those who may never reach the top 10 to earn more money by playing for punters instead. Just wondering your views on this?

  14. Dazzler 2 years ago

Out the 3 probably Blue Jays. They need to keep winning for home field advantage in the playoffs.

  15. Felix 2 years ago

On the Atp tour, I wouldn’t say there are many fixes. Lower level, yes. It’s usually quite easy to tell who’s throwing a match through betting exchanges.

Look up Golubev, nicolas Kicker for a few examples of match fixing

  16. Attila 2 years ago

Lower level Challenger and Futures matches get fixed every know and then…many are ‘good’ tennis players but know they’ll never make the ATP tour. As Felix said, they can make more by throwing their savings on at the bookies and throwing the match.
Felix – I knew about Golubev’s past, but wasnt aware of Kicker…

  17. Attila 2 years ago

AD – Pav not off to a great start. Halep looking good today…need it to shift soon!

  18. Iddy 2 years ago

Ad / Attila / Aye Right – thoughts on a mladenovic and Strycova double for tomorrow. It pays 1.9/1 at the moment. Both there opponents Vandweghe and schmiedlova had really tough matches today, plus would favour them anyways.

  19. punterpounder 2 years ago

in the itf compititions is it blatant to see when a fix has taken place by the seeded player throwing away the first set something like 6-1 6-0

  20. Felix 2 years ago

You also get players deliberately going to 3 sets because it’s less obvious

  21. punterpounder 2 years ago

yup the best advice would be is to stay away from the challenger events if you are unsure of the players or tournament

  22. Attila 2 years ago

This is clinical from Halep..Cant see Pav even getting a set now…damn

  23. Attila 2 years ago

Halep to win Wuhan outright if she can play like this every match.

  24. Ad 2 years ago

Not even close. Sorry folks. was a bit out there and needed an inspired Pav or shaky Simona.

Pav should just go work on her movement. She’s like humpty dumpty

  27. re-invented 2 years ago

Thanks for the reply guys, just trying to figure when to steer clear or even when something looks a little dodgy but with all the tennis being played its not that easy to see the dodgy matches.

  28. Jordan 2 years ago

Very early days still, but my NFL ante posts could be looking a lot worse. Week 3 standings.

Most Passing Yards Andrew Luck – 14th

Most Rushing Yards Adrian Peterson – 1st

Most Receiving Yards Julio Jones – 1st

    Footy tonight I’m on

    Walcott FGS 9/2
    Sanchez FGS 5/1
    Walcott 2 or more 6/1
    Sanchez 2 or more 8/1
    Watcott hattrick 30/1
    Sanchez hattrick 55/1

These are all betfair exchange prices and subject to change. Better odds may be available out there, I haven’t shopped around.

    Hope Walcott starts!

  31. Picksix 2 years ago

Jordan im in the same boat, for the me the seahawks and the colts are the closest I have to being safe winners. Undecided on the 3rd so far but there’s a few days to look into it. Packers should really beat that poor 49ers team, cardinals are up against the Rams who u never now what side are gonna turn up an example scoring 30+ past the seahawks and then only 6 past that terrible Steelers defence, Falcons games have all been really close so far too so you would think a loss is on the cards anytime soon, and with the Broncos AP might have something to say about about that defence , the Chargers look the safest option to me atm moment but could possibly change

    Seahawks
    Colts
    Packers/Cardinals/Falcons/Broncos/Chargers

The top two with either of the bottom selections will pay around EVs

  32. Jordan 2 years ago

Tyler my best treble at the moment is Colts -2.5/Cardinals and Broncos ML. Pays 1.34/1 @ 365. Vikings obviously 2-1 but their struggles in Santa Clara would convince me that they’ll struggle against that Broncos defense. Especially at Mile High. I do think the Seahawks will obviously win but that Lynch injury would worry me.
