I DIDN'T get time to put up a Super Single shortlist last weekend but managed to land a winner in Bury.

I've had a bit more time this week and having gone through the card here are my early thoughts about sides priced evens or above.

Remember these are picks taken by looking at form and stats but not team news. I'll look at that on Friday but anyone who knows of a reason not to back any of these teams please comment.

Super Single shortlist

SOUTHAMPTON v Swansea

WEST HAM v Norwich

Bolton v BRIGHTON

MK Dons v DERBY (12.30pm)

Swindon v COLCHESTER

CARLISLE v Newport

Dundee v ROSS COUNTY

ST JOHNSTONE v Dundee Utd

AYR v Peterhead

East Stirling v ARBROATH

Definitely agree with Ross county at 2/1 and I’m having them as my super single for Saturday and taking them at this price now as feel will only shorten.
Ross county to win @ 2/1 £25 stake.

  2. Shortee 9 years ago

Ross county at 2/1 £25 stake. Take now before price shortens

    Good luck.

      Good luck.

    Yep, already on Arbroath…..

  4. highlandhunter 9 years ago

Montrose worth a look at 8/5 at ladbrokes at home to east fife. Montrose have won all 4 home games and are above east fife in the league. Seems a big price to me. Any thoughts?

  5. Humble tipper 9 years ago

Hull evens at home to blackburn

  6. Greg Browning 9 years ago

Only concern with Carlise is how much Last night took out of them! Would have been all over them hadnt they played 120 mins last and lost on pens

Long treck for Newort and ther are toiling – thinking if giving it a miss though

any thoughts on forfar this week greg

highlandhunter, Montrose have been great at home, only problem wih this league is anyone can beat anyone! East Fife are probably stronger than Montrose but it’s a hard game to call! Not a match to predict a winner in!

Ah the men montrose , home games on a plastic pitch now ,might explain decent home form ,

  8. WasClueless 9 years ago

Ipswich who I believe rested players v Utd playing Bristol City (conceded 17 this season)?
Barrow against Kidderminster who ship goals?

  9. Jordan 9 years ago

I looked at Carlisle to score twice at good odds but like Greg think they might be fatigued. Don’t follow the lower leagues as much so wasn’t sure how many changes they had made for their trip to Anfield.

I know not on your list Mr f and also below evens but Lincoln at home to Torquay looks good at 4/5 ,I live just outside Lincoln and locals are saying this is the best team in years but not as good as Graham Taylor’s days , last 2 games lincoln have won and drawn and should take care of Torquay .

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

AGD, cheers for the tip – haven’t looked at non-league yet.

    • Daz 9 years ago

I also live in Lincoln and this present team are no way anywhere near the best in years ,will be down at the game tomorrow ,and we should see goals (I hope ). Lincoln have been unlucky last three home games hitting woodwork 7 times ,Hearn is coming back from injury up front and should score goals at this level if fully fit (Lincoln could push for a play off place at best if luck goes our way )a lot depends on hearns fitness to how we do ,btts & overs look a good shout based on this seasons stats ,think I’ll also go on Lincoln over 1.5 team goals

    Barrow is a great call

    Barrow is a great call

Also like Bolton v BRIGHTON you put up MrF … Bolton beaten 4-1 at Huddersfield and Brighton topping the Championship. Neil Lennon told the BBC “If we don’t find a bit of quality in the squad its going to be a long hard season” (credit RFO). Brighton 13/10 (tempted by > 1.5 TGS at 11/8 after Neil’s assessment of his team!)

is anyone fancying birmingham think they r good bet for even money

Without doubt a tough card this week. Will spend a couple of hours looking at the games in more depth tomorrow but unlike most weeks nothing is shouting out as a must back as having any value.
As it stands Man City to get the three points at the Lane has some appeal but then again at 19/20 it doesn’t represent great value for what is normally a tricky away game and one that Spurs will be hurting from Wednesday so City may face a backlash.
One team I won’t be backing is Liverpool, but then I find myself questioning the fact, do I really want to be putting money on inconsistent Villa for double chance. Possibility…but not sure. Can’t help but think Liverpool will get a win sooner rather than later.
Man Utd will be well fancied to get a similar result to the 3-0 v Ipswich against a very poor Sunderland.
In the Championship I’ll need to look at Hull and Ipswich. Both at home and both available at 11/10 to pick up wins.
In League One Walsall look way too short at home to Crewe when you consider they were given the run around by Chelsea on Wednesday night. Crewe also hold a good record at the Bescot and on the back of a very good 1-0 win at Shrewsbury offer some value at 13/2 for the win.
In League Two Plymouth look decent value against Mansfield at 8/5. Bit of value for Leyton Orient as well (8/5) despite their recent wobble.
Lots of studying to be done in the morning but first one more night shift to endure before the weekend.

    Another vote for Ipswich here.

  17. Graeme Mcartney 9 years ago

    Btts and dunfermline win

  18. WasClueless 9 years ago

I know its a single but I’ll have a fiver on Ipswich, Brighton and Barrow at 7.5/1 …

  19. rob d 9 years ago

Stoke for me should have beaten Leicester last week Bournemouth not as strong. Bojan adds new dimension and I like them for two or more goals

  20. mgoo 9 years ago

Chelsea -1 at a hapless newcastle who can’t buy a win is 8/5. only slight worry is newcastle have beaten chelsea the last 3 meetings at st james park but with chelsea now finding there form even without costa i cant see anything but a chelsea comfortable win

  21. Mark 9 years ago

    Inverness super single

  22. v007 9 years ago

I believe Stoke should be able to get their 1st win this weekend. They were pretty good in the 1st half last week but some comical defending let them down in the 2nd half. A lower risk option is to back them at draw no bet.

  23. Hector 9 years ago

Stoke look a good bet at 6/4 and I’ll add another vote to Ipswich- could be a nice double

  24. robbo 9 years ago

    Derby 11-10 at mk dons
    mk dons pretty but toothless

    villa massive 6-1 at Liverpool
Vile aren’t great but won at anfield last year and if benteke is out they have nothing to fear

  25. KRO 9 years ago

    Hi guys

First tip here from me, I am a Birmingham fan and 21/20 at home to Rotherham has to be a must for me with the form we are showing, I am also tempted to add that to a trixie with Derby at evens and Brighton just above evens.

    Cheers all

    • niron 9 years ago

really think they r penalty kick

  26. Taryn brown 9 years ago
