THE Monday night American Football sees Indianapolis Colts try to bounce back from their week one flop.
The Colts are fifth favourites with Paddy Power at 12-1 for Super Bowl glory but were well below their best in last week's defeat to Buffalo.
Tonight they host a New York Jets side flying high after an impressive victory over Cleveland. The Jets are expected to crash back to earth though with Marathonbet chalking them up at 77-29 while the Colts are just 7-20 (Titanbet).

Afternoon gents. Horrible weekend of betting in the NFL for most yesterday. Fell asleep during the game again. Lynch only managed 40 odd yards on the ground (Tyler did he sit out at all?). Packers scored two TD’s despite putting 27 points on the board. No idea what happened to Eddie Lacy either who had a worse night than Lynch.
Probably won’t have a bet in tonights game. Fancied the Chris Ivory rushing yards but would just be hopeful of that rather than knowing it has a good chance. Will calculate all figures but I know its -10 points now. Apologies anyone that followed.

Will be leaving MNF alone tonight. Few bets I’m tempted by but that didn’t work this weekend. TY Hilton still questionable (would be on Revis Island if he did start) Andre Johnson is as old as a fine wine at WR so if Hilton is out, Revis would be taking care of him. Brandon Marshall will be in Vonte Davis’ pocket (he shut down Sammy Watkins last week for 0 catches on 3 targets). The Colts did give up yards to Percy Harvin in week 1. A 51 yard TD and catching 5 targets for 79 yards.
Haven’t heard much of this guy but Chris Owusu was the Jets second most productive WR in week 1 with 55 yards on 4 receptions from 6 targets (one was a 43 yard catch on 3rd and 10). Not bad considering Joe Haden was covering him. Without knowing if he’s a solid pick on the depth chart (Decker probably ahead of him) I’m not sure whether going for his receiving yards would be worth a go being @ 35.5 @ PP. Seems fairly low for somebody who had a productive week 1 with Fitzpaterick under center.

Also, I know Buffalo/Miami is a division match up but Miami struggled bad against the Jags yesterday and the Bills weren’t awful despite giving Brady over 450 passing yards. No run game what so ever for Miami and Tannehill is no Brady. Not a good sign coming up against one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL!

Jordan miami and the bills is a tough one to call for me , when they played this game last year the bills struggled against Lamar miller but kept it close until the 4th quater where miami ran away with it, I think they won by 10 points in the end but the bills had the better of them up until that point until miller got going. A Rex Ryan defence is not going to give up as much yards on the ground but Miami have also added a lot and playing their first game of the season at home i can’t really pick a winner but I would have to give a slight edge to the bills

Am going to pretend yesterday didn’t happen as couldn’t believe some of scores coming in, annoying when you take oakland in week 1 at home and they get steam rolled then in week 2 they perform like you expected them too yet had no money on them. Still the vikes got the W and Peterston just gives us lot more dimensions than just his yards ie the Wright pitch from Ad which just sent the whole lions D the wrong way.
Anyway back to tonight and just as Peyton rebounded Thurs night I think luck will do the same. Spread has come down from -9 to -7 and now -6.5 at bet 365 presumably extra half pt is a result of shocks yesterday and hilton.
Whilst colts didn’t play well last week new York are nowhere near in same league defensively as the bills and whilst new York only had to cover Johnny manziel last week this guy luck is a little bit better am sure you will agree. If you look at stats Indianapolis are something like 14-1 covering spread after a loss since Luck has been under centre. I always look at home field advantage being worth 3 pts so covering -6.5 should be well in lucks grasp.

Not sure about touching the game tonight after a grim weekend. Nothing really stands out to me personally, might be worth a shout with Luck going under the throwing yards at 278.5. Obviously its going to be hard betting against Luck, but the Jets has a similar defense to the Bills with better DBs. Think Todd Bowles might dial up some crazy creative blitzes so Frank Gore might get a lot of carries and the Colts may be forced to do short – intermediate routes for much of the game.

The Jaguars will be grinning from their home win against Miami yesterday. What they won’t be so chuffed about is that Brady threw over 460 yards in Buffalo. Whys that not great I hear you ask? Ryan Tannehill threw 360 yards in their win with two receivers over 110 yards. Gronkowski and Edelman will be drooling at who can get the most yards this weekend. Spread is double digits and for good reason. The Jags from sunny Florida in Boston. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Bradys passing yards at 320 this week. Still might be worth a prop bet though with Edelman and Gronkowski. Both will be around the 100 mark.
Second game is Green Bay at the Lambeau, once more on national television (all three of their games have been televised on a national scale in America since the start of the season) Last time the Chiefs played here in a regular season game they lost 20-19, that was in 2011. With the Packers extending their winstreak against the Seahawks last night, I can’t see the Chiefs getting much from this. After watching last nights game. Rodgers composure in the pocket was on point and rarely looked in trouble only being sacked twice. He’ll face a lot of pressure from Kansas but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him call Houston offside once or twice. Even then he escaped the pocket multiple times and extended plays with his feet and arms. Something nobody had seen done quite so well from him since he first hobbled off with his calf injury last season. The spread opened at -6.5 but has gone out to -7. I’m taking the alternative spread as I think it might stay closer than last nights game against Seattle, but with Manning being able to beat Kansas at the Arrowhead, Green Bay surprisingly nullifying Marshawn Lynch last night, I’ll take the Packers to cover -2.5 at home. Jamaal Charles is a whole speedier kettle of fish than Lynch but they’ll be watching film on his first two games all weekand try to do the same job as they did last night.

Colts will have Vontae Davis, who hasn’t allowed a passing touchdown since 2013 and he will go up against Brandon Marshall. Indianapolis are my tip for the Super bowl and I said in my ante-post it is Luck’s time to shine, it is prime time and I am taking Luck to shine tonight.

Danny, like any sport it is early week 2, teams have only played once at home, so no real form to go of. I would only be concerned about teams who have lost major players and that always happens in the opening 2 week. I avoid handicap bets this early unless it is a single. My advise is always prop bets, you only need your guy to go over his line, weather his side loses or wins.

After watching both the Eagles and the Jets this season I am quite happy to add the Jets to my above double on the alternative spread. If they can force Andrew Luck and the Colts into that many mistakes, Sam Bradford has little hope of a productive afternoon with that offensive line. They need to get DeMarco Murray going but suffice to say, if they had to pick a game against a defensive front for Murray to start making some gains, the Jets would be bottom of the list or close to it. Think the Jets -2 could be a few peoples SS’s this weekend.
