IT was a 5.5pts profit on Monday night which was needed after a poor weekend.
My 13-8 Top Treble came in thanks to Cork, Zenit and Alaves not to lose. I gave back 1pt of my 6.5pts winnings on an alternative treble that would have paid 9-1 – Cork -1, Zenit -1 and Alaves.
The chances of that coming in were obviously reflected in the odds and I was a couple of goals short but it was worth a go.
So it's been a good start to the week and Greg Browning also hit back with a winner and loser.
Tuesday's a busy card with EFL Cup and Betfred Cup matches and team news is vital in England. I'll post a preview of the quarter-finals between Rangers and Queen of the South and Morton and Dundee United but one Super Single I'm taking is both to score at 23-20 with betfair.
Queens have made five visits to Ibrox over the past two season and scored in all of the games – three defeats and two draws over 90 minutes.
In the EFL Cup you've got to like Liverpool at Derby with the Reds having no European football and Jurgen Klopp eyeing up a trophy tilt.
Other ties include Everton v Norwich, Leicester v Chelsea, Nottm Forest v Arsenal and a repeat of the match that cost plenty on Saturday – Newcastle v Wolves. Everton will rest Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will make many changes against a Forest side giving a debut to ex-Gunners striker Niklas Bendtner.
In Serie A it's AC Milan v Lazio and in Spain we have Malaga v Eibar and Sevilla v Real Betis.
Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund is the big match in the Bundesliga and PSG face Dijon at home after returning to form at Caen. PSG won 6-0 last wek with Edinson Cavani netting four and while the Uruguayan is just 1-2 to net against the promoted side I can see him scoring first at 13-5 with Paddy Power and that's a 1pt Super Single.
Greg has put up goals tips on his favourite French Ligue 2 games as well as the EFL Cup.
I've checked team news and stats and one problem is the number of bets I like – so hopefully I've whittled them down to the correct ones.
My third Super Single is League One leaders Scunthorpe at home to Charlton. Graham Alexander's side have made a brilliant start to the season and have won their three home games and scored 12 for the loss of one. In fact they've now won seven in a row at Glanford Park. Charlton have won away from home and failed to keep a clean sheet so this should be a home win.
A big double is Liverpool -1 and PSG -1 as both should win comfortably and I've added a goals treble.

Mr F has already summed the rangers game up and I expect an influx of goals in this fixture with both teams contributing, I reckon the game could potentially go either away and dont believe Rangers are worth backing at a very short price. We may very well see a shock result tomorrow.
Going against the grain in my other bet as Wolfsburg entertain Dortmund. These are typically high scoring games with both sides contributing in a contest that can go either way. Dortmund are coming off the back of two successive 6-0 victories while Wolfsburg have played out successive drab 0-0 draws. However, Dortmund are without a number of key players in Marco Reus, Sven Bender, Erik Durm and Andre Schurrle (Major Doubt) Wolfsburg are yet to concede this season and I expect them to frustrate Dortmund being difficult to break down. Wolfsburg are looking like a better defensive unit and will be well drilled for this one. Dortmund are hot favourites in this game and will continue to get well backed as will BTTS and Over 2.5 MG but this will not be another 6-0 drubbing. Wolfsburg they are lacking confidence up top, they are creating chances but there attacking options are seemingly lacking confidence and I think chances will be at a premium against Dortmund who I expect to control possession and dominate the game. Think Dortmund may edge this encounter in an unexpected low scoring affair.
Just the one bet for me tonight:
QOTS to score @ Evens
Flying high in the Championship
Have scored at Ibrox in prior visits
The Rangers struggle defensively at times. Looks like they’ll conceded at least one
Curious to see what @craigyboy bets/thoughts are on the Newcastle vs Wolves game tomorrow. Fortunate to have been on a betting break otherwise like most I would have been all over Newcastle last Saturday. Prices slightly different but Wolves still look rather big. Will Lightning strike twice?
Unlike Saturday I’m really not sure what team Zenga is going to put out.
I’ve just been having a read up on team news from Sky Sports and BBC and they seem to think that Zenga will keep a similar team to that put out on Saturday.
Personally I still think he will make seven or eight changes.
This is definitely a game to wait for team news as Newcastle are the side expected to shake it up according to the mentioned sources.
It’s a bit of a strange scenario at Wolves. We’ve brought in a lot of players from abroad, particularly Benfica but Zenga has still shown a lot of faith in the previous squad inherited by Jackett. To put it bluntly some of them are quite simply not good enough and I wouldn’t be half surprised to see some of these players put back in today. These players were the ones that featured against Barnsley and whilst it was an open end to end game their weaknesses were evident towards the end of that game.
Whilst it’s easier to pick the national lottery numbers than the Wolves team due to the rotation these days I’ll have a plunge at what team I reckon will be put out and you can compare to the side that featured on Saturday.
Saturday’s XI:
Ikeme, Doherty, Iorfa, Batth, Borthwick-Jackson, Edwards, Oniangue, Saiss, Costa, Teixeira, Bodvarsson
Predicted XI tonight:
Lonergan, Iorfa, Batth, Stearman, Doherty, Saville, Coady, Price, Cavaleiro, Wallace, Mason
I’ll post later when I see the team news but for me if there are names such as Saville, Coady, Stearman and Wallace in the starting eleven I’d be very reluctant on putting money on us this time around.
Cheers for the good info Craigyboy, will lookout for your post later on. Ive heard good things about Ivan Cavaleiro but I know very little about thee other foreign signings you have made. Team news is always crucial in this competition.
Haven’t seen much of Cavaleiro as of yet but at £7m and signed from Monaco I’d expect him to have some class. Really hope he starts tonight as he’s only had a couple of cameo appearances off the bench.
The man that’s impressed me the most is Helder Costa. Took his goal well on Saturday as well.
After hearing reports on Romain Saiss’s debut the futures definitely bright for us (as long as he keeps picking the correct players).
Havent had a punt on the cricket in a while but I fancy Middlesex to topple Yorkshire in the title clincher in the County Championship. Somerset have an outside chance and remain in title picture but all eyes will be on what is going on in this game. Yorkshire are without England Internationals Jonny Bairstow and Adil Rashid and that is a major blow for a side looking to clinch there third successive title win. Think Middlesex have this in the bag at an excellent price.
Middlesex WIN
Evens
Stan James
Total with you on this one @kyle b especially with the ECB doing all they can to help middlesex
Everything being thrown in Middlesexs favour, can only see one result here. Best of luck mate!
Same to you mate
Can see the Southeners putting a flat pitch out to make a draw and stop the main men winning, with Somerset playing relegated Notts, if they can get maximum bonus points and a win I could see them pipping both teams.
Saw Draw no bet at evens for Middlesex prematch after placing this bet. Made the ameteur mistake of not checking other markets on Oddschecker before placing. Need Gubbins to get a big score here
He certainly managed that Kyle. 28 overs left for Middlesex to 142 runs or Yorkshire to bowl you out, not impossible but iffy.
Kyle b, Wolves to repeat saturdays win 17/4 but i’m having small punt on wolves over 1.5 team goals @3/1 ladbrokes, also on the cricket gillespie will have Yorkshire well fired up for this after ecb decision!! GL
Think Newcastle may make changes as they have great squad depth. Im unsure what kind of lineup Wolves are gonna put out, think they put out a host of fringe players in the last round against Cambridge so am unsure whether they are taking this competition seriously. As of the cricket, I cant have Yorkshire winning the title again. Im a Lancs supporter, COME ON MIDDLESEX!
I’d wait for team news jimba. I have a feeling we could make several changes, bringing back some of the rubbish that featured against Barnsley.
Dutch Cup (Tuesday)
My favourite stage of the Dutch cup is back tomorrow. A mixture of amateurs and pro’s playing a total of 32 games in 3 days. This is my selection for Tuesday.
HHC Hardenberg v Jodan Boys
HHC over 1.5 team goals
IJselmeervogels v Achilles ’29
Over 2.5 match goals
Double @ 2.34 with 888 / Unibet
Half of the HHC squad have played on pro level and they have a very good striker in Van der Leij. They didn’t start the season well only scoring 7 in 6 games, but this squad should be way better then opponents Jodan Boys. They also didn’t start the season well in the Hoofdklasse (two tiers down) conceding 11 in 5 games. This is only the 3rd time Jodan Boys have qualified for the cup after 2012 and 1978 .I think the odds are quite decent for HHC scoring at least two against these part timers.
Most games in the cup are priced 1.30 for overs, but this game is a bit higher. I have no idea why. IJselmeervogels have an average of 3,5 goals a game in the 3rd division and with Achilles ’29 averaging 4 goals a game in the Jupiler league we should see some goals here.

£11.97 returns £35.21 @betfair
Well after 3 unbelievably days I had an utter stinker yesterday…
Everything I touched went dead with reds, disallowed goals and the winners I did pick there was a loser straight after! Going to sod the 1 point bets today and get this 5 point loss from yesterday back!
Will also do a £10 – £100 on the challenge thread with the ones in very confident in!! (Will also do side bets on every bet to ensure profit)
One game I like the look of in the EFL Cup is Bournemouth at home to Preston. Odds of 7/11 look generous enough but I’d fancy Bournemouth to be capable of putting away a Preston side that got turned over at Brighton by five at the weekend to at least net a couple.
Wilson and Wilshere are expected to start and whilst some changes are to be expected they should still have enough to get the job done quite comfortably.
Bournemouth v Preston 19.45
Bournemouth to win and over 1.5 goals
11/10 (Nap)
Bournemouth over 2.5TG
23/10 (NB) (half stake)
Have also got to fancy goals in the Leicester v Chelsea and Nottm Forest and Arsenal games.
I’ve also been having a browse on the women’s international games. There’s a few games that look good for goals but no prices as of yet.
Iceland v Scotland 18.00
Iceland won 4-0 against Scotland last time out and top the group. At the time of speaking they are respectable odds of 5/8. The only concern is maybe they might change the side about as they have already progressed. By the same token so have Scotland so I’d expect both teams to have a go at each other and hopefully we’ll see a few goals fly in.
Bets to look out for: Iceland win, Iceland over 1.5TG and over 2.5TG, Over 3.5 match goals.
Italy v Czech Rep 18.00
Italy have netted at least 3 times on the last four occasions they’ve met the Czech Republic and the visitors are capable of a goal or two themselves. No value in an Italy win though at 1/10.
Bets to look out for: Italy over 2.5TG, Over 3.5 match goals, BTTS.
France v Albania 20.00
Again France are already through and playing the no hopers with 0 points Albania. Potentially a cricket score with the reverse being 6-0. Potential for a few changes but definitely worth having a look at team news to then have a bet on French goals.
Romania u19’s v Norway u19’s 13.00
Would fully expect the visitors to hit four or five at least here. Norwegians are traditionally quite strong at all levels of women’s football so I’ll be on goals here in the earlier game.
Good Luck all!
By Brighton…I meant Brentford
We had a preview to the game in the Record today and as you say Scotland and Iceland have both qualified.
Seems like it will be a party atmosphere at the ground with Iceland celebrating the group win.
Scotland’s boss admits it will be tough against a more physical side so you could be spot on with the goals tip.

Mr Wato as u say 11 out of 30 when u r doing plenty research of all these team. If u change the tactics from 2-3 match goals to different way o/u butts or any other way u never know will bring much better outcome. What do you think. Best regards Syed.
Syed if you take a look back to last month, Wato had some of the best profits on the site so I think in the long run he’ll come out with healthy profits and is currently in profit across the last 2 months
syedabbasi, as Liam says last month showed a 19pt profit using this strategy it may well have been a month that may not happen again as I did land a treble and a double on the final weekend. That hasn’t happened so far this month but literally a couple of goals here and there would have shown much better figures. This can happen no matter which market you choose. If tomorrow’s double was to come in then I would be down to only a couple of pts lost so over the first 2 months I would have snapped your hand off for that result. I would like to think carrying on in the same way will show profit long term but will see mate.
I think you do well – as you say a goal here or there can make a huge difference.
Thailand u19s are losing 1-0 at half time. Before todays game they have won their last 11 games in a row in this competition. I’m going to take a chance on them turning it around in the second half.

Team news is paramount so check lineups before putting anything on. Preston lost 5-0 to Brentford at the weekend and if he starts I expect Callus Wilson to be able to get a goal for BOURNEMOUTH. It pays a generous 6/4 at Skybet compared to only evens at bet365. I’ll also be having a very small stake on him to get a brace and a hatrick at 11/2 and 40/1 respectively.

Goals are expected tonight and as Mr F has said in his preview BTTS comes up more often than not when we play each other. Rangers were better at the weekend and had various chances but it was just one of those games where nothing went in. A player I have been impressed with from our new signings is Josh Windass. Most bookies have him at 3-4/1 to score 1st tonight however Skybet and Ladbrokes are 9/1 which is big considering he will be the most attacking of our midfield 3 if he starts. He’s also 5/2 anytime.
Suggested bets

Right back to Esbjerg this evening, who have served me well so far this season.
Early relegation battle here at the Blue water arena where Esbjerg welcome Silkeborg.
No injury worries for both teams and I see a nervy game for both sides in this potential 6 pointer come the end of the season.
Both teams are improving with Esbjerg getting a point against a strong Randers team. They continuously find the net.
The visitors carved out their first league win last time out! After 7 games without a win this has brought a new belief and energy to the team.
I see as usual BTTS coming in here.
Esbjerg have a good record against Silkeborg I with the slightly better squad they will be confident of pulling away from their bottom feeder rivals come the final whistle.

GL
Nurnberg v Greuther Furth(4:30)
Btts
Everton v Norwich
Everton win
Derby v Liverpool
O1.5 Liverpool goals
Treble pays 2/1
Cittadella look a big price at 17/10 in the Serie B. They are currently top, winning their 4 league games and are taking on a Avelino side who are yet to get off the mark with 2 draws and 2 losses!
Their top goals scorer Litteri is also 2/1 to score anytime and has scored in all 4 games this season!
Going for a penalty in the Malaga v Eibar game, 16/5 @ Paddypower no logic i just think it is a good price.
GAIS U19 v Falkenbergs FF U19 KO now
Over 1.5 FHGS @1.66 (going to wait for a few mins before placing)
*WIN*
At some stage over the weekend, I unwittingly walked under the betting gods’ ladder. To make matters worse I must’ve reversed over their fecking cat as I drove off.
Onwards we go and looking to get back on track this evening with a combination of Welsh and EFL bets…
First up is a team that’ve been good to me thus far and I never thought I’d have Elvis offering me a heads-upon Welsh football but that’s the beauty of the site!
BALA TOWN VS. THE NEW SAINTS :
Parsley (not Presley!) tells me that Bala’s home advantage is negated by Bala’s playing at Flint’s ground and that should only help proceedings. The previous H2H was 3 days ago and saw TNS run out 5-1 winners.
With TNS averaging 4+ team goals a game, I see no reason to not ‘keep on keeping on’ and I’ll be on the following:
TNS OVER 2.5 TGS…10/11
TNS OVER 3.5 TGS…12/5
TNS OVER 4.5TGS…6/1
(All with 365 but the latter pays 5/1 so go with Coral’s 6s ?)
TNS love to concede 1 and I’ll keep that on-side with:
BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…29/20
EFL/WELSH LONGSHOT COMBO:

Derby v Liverpool team news for Derby:
With Vydra and Anya cup tied, its going to be a full front line change around and some others. This match for derby on paper is probably not winnable, but then again lots of matches in the league this season have been winnable and we’ve been made to look like a bunch of headless chickens. Prior to Saturday we’d notched only all season – in the league.
From a Derby perspective, this game has no bearing, its a hindrance and only really serves the purpose of giving us a competitive match with which to tweak the squad, but as my late auntie used to say ” you can’t polish a turd “. Derby have been awful all season, we’ve let players go that should of stayed and judging by 10+ clear chances against a wretched Bristol team, shooting straight at the keeper isn’t the ideal of outcomes. Bristol duly obliged with the 94th minute slap in the face to draw level.
Apparently there’s a foreign tv crew so somebody in Azerbaijan wants to watch this match. Maybe re-runs of Crossroads has been cancelled or something.
5 changes:
Mitchell
Christie/Keogh/Pearce/Olsen
Johnson/Butterfield/Baird/Hughes
Bent/Weimann
Mr F has gone -1 on Liverpool, Greg has gone on over 2.5 tmg’s on the match.
I can’t argue with either. Derby have the capability of scoring – but probably won’t. I do not see any result other than a Liverpool win, but at 4/11, it’s really one for a price boost double.
No disrespect to Greg with the over 2.5 tmg’s BUT since derby can’t hit a barn door at ten paces with a minigun, I’d be inclined to go Liverpool AND over 2.5 tmg’s for a better price. Derby won’t outscore Liverpool tonight. 3 Liverpool goals is about where I’d be happy with tonight. Again, Derby MIGHT score, but we’ve also rested our 1st choice keeper.
over 2.5 tmg’s is 8/13, but Liverpool AND over 2.5 tmg’s is 10/11 with bet365.
A 3-0, 3-1 would bring in Greg’s, Mr F’s and my tips.
Best of luck folks.
Hope you’re right. As long as Liverpool have the desire they should win well.
Evening Nathan – your late Aunty was right with that one pal – ‘you can’t polish a turd’.
But remember, you can roll them in glitter ?
thats hilarious pmsl
???
Leicester v Chelsea
Batshauyi atgs 13/8
Leicester v Chelsea over 3 asian cards @1.8 seems great value in my opinion – may be worth a dabble – Costa may as well start with a yellow so let’s say we need 2 at least for a refund haha
Really not convinced with the Wolves starting XI. Wasn’t a million miles off from what I predicted before. Personally I’d be looking at Newcastle to progress but it’s a no bet from me. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Newcastle over run our midfield….looks weak with Coady and Saville in there.
You were pretty much spot on mate, had a look at line ups and expect Newcastle to get through to the next round. Good luck with your bets and well done earlier with the inplays
Thank you Wolfsburg for making a mockery of everything I wrote. Best chance of my bet coming in now is if there is a power cut and the match gets abandoned
Clinging on by a thread at halftime, get Aubamayang off at the break and stick Weidenfeller up top please Mr Tuchel!
Firmino 5/4 anytime
Come on Everton pull ya finger out and score! Letting me down lol

For me today its all about goals corners and cards.
Sevilla real betis over 8.5 asian cards at 1.90. This should be a very feisty game
Wolfsburg dortmund over 9.5 corners at 1.90. Both teams like their corners and dortmund should get 6 or 7 themselves with wolfsburg contributing
Arsenal and Liverpool over 1.5 team goals double. Just over evens.
The sevilla real gets match produced 9 cards WINNER
Arsenal , Liverpool goals double was a WINNER
Wolfsburg Dortmund corners was a flop and a LOSER
