IT was a win for the Super Single and loss for the Top Treble on a night I didn't risk too much.

Dundalk landed a 21-20 single by scoring two against Shamrock Rovers while Peterborough no netting beat the accumulator.

Wednesday's quiet unless you count cup games in Spain, Turkey and Northern Ireland. Hopefully we'll see some expert tips but I'll probably look more at the Euro 2016 qualifiers that start on Thursday and post some early tips.

Mildly irritating that Hills did not have a pre match market for Dundalk scoring two or more goals. Ended up reluctantly doing over 2.5 instead

Speculative point on BTTS in Thursdays Asia World Cup Qualifier between Jordan and Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan were the side who I tipped Australia to score 3 goals against mid June and were very unlucky not to pick up a point having had the better chances during the game, eventually scoring with a goal only Diego Maradona would be proud of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZa4IAKFSZE

Nice one Ryan. Can I ask though, do you actually place a stake on all these bets or are these just your thoughts? Just wondering as if it went tits up you could be in trouble? Good effort though, I used to do similar but it looked bad if they didn’t win haha

Mr F not a tennis fan really but saw Murray won 3-1 which I think was unexpected of the other lad winning a set?

I’ve got the first previews and suggested bets for Thursday’s euro qualifying action. I had a really good weekend and I am one of the few who loves International weeks.

Always had good luck with these kind of games and I CAN’T WAIT for Scotland!

International – EURO qualification grp. A

    20:45 Czech Republic vs Kazakhstan – Prediction – 3.1 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @11/8

It’s not a fixture that jumps out at you and screams BTTS with Kazakhstan a bottom seeded team that rarely takes points on the road but both teams recent stats make this a very appealing BTTS selection at a big price of 11/8.

Despite losing 9 of their last 10 away qualifiers, Borat’s boys have managed to score in 7 of those fixtures with BTTS coming up in 5 of their most recent 7 away qualifiers. Indeed historically the Kazakhs have managed to score in 17 out of 30 away qualifiers since their introduction to International football 10 years ago. They have even managed to score in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Turkey and Ireland all within the last 4 years so this is a side capable of scoring, even on the road and also against some of the better sides.

The question is, can they score against the Czechs? well the home teams stats certainly suggest it’s possible with the hosts keeping only 4 clean sheets in their last 15 home fixtures and In this qualifying campaign, all 6 of their fixtures saw BTTS, including the 4.2 win in Kazakhstan just 10 months ago. The evidence for a repeat looks good and I am especially tempted by the BTTS price of 11/8.

Of course the Czechs should win @1/5 odds on but the goals bet appeals more, given the visitors history of sneaking 1 goal when they travel, the Czechs poor home defensive record and the very fact these two sides shared out 6 goals less than a year ago. You can even play it a little safer and just back the visitors to score @6/5 odds. Given their history, it’s certainly possible despite the odds against.

We can therefor assume that a home win with BTTS is also likely at 9/4 but I’ll take the 11/8 on BTTS .

    20:45 Netherlands vs Iceland – Prediction – 2.1 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @6/5

Perhaps the most intriguing fixture of the night sees group leaders Iceland travel to 3rd place Holland, 5 points ahead of their hosts tonight.

Did I write that correctly? Yes, really. Iceland proudly sit top of group A with 15 points and 5 wins from 6 games that has them almost nailed on to qualify while the once great Holland sit 3rd in the section, a full 5 points behind and with their own qualification place certainly under threat from 2nd placed Czech Republic and even 4th placed Turkey who sit 2 behind the Dutch themselves.

Yet despite all that, the under performing Dutch find themselves huge 1/3 favourites to win on the night with new boss Danny Blind taking charge of his first match following the departure of Guus Hiddink. To me this looks like a clear example of bookies overplaying the names of the two teams involved and the “need” to win for Holland.

Blind has rung the changes to his underperforming team with unexpected players like Kenny Tete, Jaïro Riedewald, Vurnon Anita and Terence Kongolo all brought into his squad while he has excluded the likes of Feyenoord’s Sven van Beek, miedfielders Davy Propper and Hakim Ziyech and full-backs Daryl Janmaat and Erik Pieters. Change certainly looks necessary or the Dutch could end up going into the play-offs at best and what a shame that could be for one of the smaller nations likely to be waiting (please not Scotland) for them.

The Dutch have only 3 clean sheets from their last 9 home fixtures and conceded 3 and then 4 in friendly defeats to both Mexico and the US which ultimately cost Hiddink his job following the earlier defeats in the section to Iceland and the Czechs.

Can Blind teach his team in just one match to defend as he did in his illustrious playing career as a centre back? It’s doubtful.

While the Dutch ought to win, going by history and their superior depth and quality, I’m not touching them at 1/3 odds on. With Iceland losing only twice in 12 fixtures and given their recent results in qualifers, we should not be surprised if they score or indeed even get a positive result.

The Icelandics are having an amazing campaign with 5 wins from 6 and never has their nation enjoyed such a srong national team, Qualification is there for the taking and confidence must be off the charts for this one time minnow that now finds themselves top of a group containing Hollnd, Turkey and Czech Republic.

The surprise leaders have a brilliant away record in the last 4 years particularly in terms of goals having scored in 19 of their previous 21 AWAY fixtures and in 7 of their last 9 away qualifiers with 14 goals in total from the six fixtures completed in this group.

I’m really confident that they can do it here as well against a Dutch team that are bound to be nervous snd the 6/5 odds on BTTS are too good to ignore so that’s my pick here in a game that Holland are expected to win but are certainly not worth backing at 1/3 on.

20:45 Turkey vs Latvia – No bets

Turkey should win here and they are in good form but Latvia are capable of being awful or dogged and they have earned draws in their last 2 away fixtures to both Ukraine and Czech Republic so for me that’s good enough reason not to back the Turks at 2/9.

    EURO qualification grp. B
    20:45 Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina – Belgium to win @1/2

Belgium face a crucial fixture in Brussels with Bosnia the visitors in a game that the hosts need and expect to win.

The Red Devils sit 2nd in the Group, 3 behind surprise leaders Wales and they will be playing to an expectant crowed who will expect 3 points. Their home record is favourable with 6 of their last 7 producing victories but Bosnia won’t be an easy opponent with the visitors still in contention to qualify despite a poor start to the campaign.

Bosnia have some fine players in their squad and did qualify for the most recent World Cup but their form has been patchy since then and while they went unbeaten on the road in their last campaign, they did lose 3.0 in Israel in their most recent away qualifier in this section.

The visitors sit 5th of 6 teams in Group B, with 8 points so far but they are only 3 points behind 2nd placed Belgium and just 1 point behind 3rd placed Cyprus. With 3rd good enough to get a play-off spot, the Bosnians will still have plenty of belief in their chances even if this is their most dificult fixture, on paper at least.

The Belgian squad is just brimming with talent and it’s hard to see them failing to win a game that is vital to their chances of qualifying. With the likes of Hazard, De Brunye, Mertens, Lukaku and Benteke in attack, they have genuine world class talent and the defensive quality exists with one of the best in goal, Thibaut Courtois. Kompany and Alderweireld are solid as a pairing while they also have more depth to their squad than ever before with the likes of Thomas Vermaelan now playing for Barcelona and back in the national team squad. They are rightly one of the favourites for next summer.

I expect Belgium will be too strong and take the home win @1/2 odds to further enhance their own chances of a qualifying position but it might not be easy and I feel at 1/2 the hosts are a bit short so let’s see if they get a bit bigger than that come game time.

20:45 Cyprus vs Wales – Prediction – 0.2 – Wales to win @4/5, Bale to score anytime @21/20

Riding the crest of a wave, Wales continue to delight and surprise as they lead Group B by 3 clear points and I have plenty of confidence that they will get the full set of points here that will edge them ever closer to a first major finals since 1958.

In Gareth Bale they have a genuinely world class star who always seems to rise to the big occassion, especially when his country needs him most with 75% of Wales goals scored in this section directly involving the Real Madrid man. 4 goals and 2 assists don’t tell the full picture of a player whose importance to this side is akin to the importance Diego Maradona once had for Argentina. 5 goals in his last 6 and 10 in his previous 16 caps is top form on the International stage, especially playing for a team that are, despite their current world ranking, not world beaters.

While Wales are not a one man band but I wouldn’t back them to win in Cyprus without Bales presence but With Bale in the team, It looks nailed on for the visitors to win @4/5 and I’l back him to score anytime @20/21 as well. Wales won convincingly in Israel in their previous away qualifier, 3.0 winners on the night and I don’t expect Cyprus to stop Bale and Co.

Cyprus have lost 5 of their last 9 at home with those defeats coming against Israel, Slovenia, Serbia, Finland and Norway, hardly the cream of Europe and Wales should be good enough to match those sides, and get those vital 3 points.

    20:45 Israel vs Andorra = Prediction – 4.0 – ISuggested Bets – Israel -2 @8/15

Not the best fixture to be gambling on, but Israel should cover the -2 handicap against minnows Andorra who usually lose big on the road.

While the hosts have lost their last 3 qualifiers, they should still have more than enough to score at least 3 here against a side that lose heavily in almost every single away qualifier that they take part in.

Andorra have never won a competitive away fixture, losing 63 of the 70 away games in their short history with 7 draws and only 1 of those actually occurred in qualifying, a 0.0 draw in Macedonia 10 years ago.

More recently, they have lost their last 3 qualifiers conceding 17 goals in the process, even leaking 5 to Cyprus while 6 of their last 8 away qualifiers have seen them lose by more than 2 with only Estonia and Hungry failing to better a 2.0 scoreline and while Israel have struggled lately, they did win 4.1 in the first fixture in Andorra last year and I expect them to manage something similar here and I’ll back them on the -2 handicap @8/15.

8/15 is a reasonable price for what looks a highly likely outcome against a poor side who are still to win an away fixture.

International – EURO qualification grp. H

    18:00 Azerbaijan vs Croatia – Prediction – 0.2 – Suggested Bets -Croatia -1 AH @1.525, OR Croatia -1 @20/21 to win

Croatia come into this fixture in good form and will be confident of cementing their position at the top of the section with another 3 points here and I fancy them to do it with a goal or more to spare.

Last season’s fixture brought a 6.0 thrashing win for Croatia and while I doubt they can repeat that, i do feel they have enough quality to get a good win here with their recent form bringing them a 5.1 home win over Norway and 2 hard earned draws with Italy.

The hosts aren’t easy to beat at home in general but when the better teams go to Baku, they usually come away with a comfortable enough win. Recent exceptions being Russia and Israel who were both held to 1.1 draws 2 years ago in World Cup qualifying.

I’m confident Croatia will win and there is a good chance it will be by more than 1 goal but I think I will play it safe and take them to win -1 AH @1.525 where I know it’s money back should the win only be by 1 goal.

    20:45 Bulgaria vs Norway – Prediction – 0.0 – Suggested Bets – Draw @ 12/5

This is the toughest fixture of the day to pick a winner in with Bulgaria and Norway two evenly matched sides separated by just two points in the section and they go head to head tonight in a potentially vital fixture in determining which of these two sides will get a play-off place.

Norway won their previous meeting in Oslo with a 2.1 success last year and they will probably be happy to take a point in this one with their attention primarily on holding off the Bulgarians for the 3rd position that secures that play-off shot.

Croatia and Italy should finish in the top 2 positions so this is effectively a play-off for the play-offs and that kind of pressure could be tough for the home team who really need the points with away fixtures in Italy on Sunday and then Croatia next month still to come.

Bulgaria have only won 4 of their last 19 home fixtures though with wins only coming against Belarus, Armenia, Cyprus and Malta although they did manage a 2.2 draw at home to Italy in this campaign, but that only followed another poor result, a 0.0 with minnows Malta.

Neither side are anything special, and for me, the only bet I can suggest is a draw as I don’t believe the Bulgarians are good enough to get the result that they need and Norway will likely be more than happy to take the draw that keeps them on track for 3rd place.

20:45 Italy vs Malta – Prediction 2.0 – Suggested Bets – Malta plus 4 goals to win @4/7

The final fixture to analyse produces the strangest of suggested bets with Italy welcoming Malta for a fixture the hosts simply cannot fail to win. Odds of 1/40 on tells you that the bookies expect a routine win but I fancy the Maltese can avoid a serious spanking and the 4/7 on offer on plus 4 looks pretty good when analysing some stats.

Firstly, Italy are poor at the moment, winning just 1 in 6 and that when they only scraped past the Maltese in the away fixture in this group, winning 1.0 thanks to a Graziano Pelle first half strike. Further draws have been played out with Croatia twice and Bulgaria once and it is fair to say that this is an Italian side going through a real transitional phase.

They face an enormous amount of pressure from their passionate following at home and while they will surely win, I don’t think it will be the rout that the home fans expect given both their poor recent form and their own historical form at home.

In some of their recent home fixtures, Italy have really struggled to impress, only narrowly beating Azerbaijan 2.1, and suffering a hugely humiliating draw with lowly Luxembourg just before last summer’s World Cup. Of course we know that tournament went pretty badly for the Italians and while they haven’t been beaten in this group, their 3 draws have cost them the top spot and Norway could yet catch them in the chase for 2nd.

I’m not suggesting they won’t win, but I fancy Malta can carry a plus 4 handicap well. This means Italy need to win by 4 goals or more to beat my bet and when you look at the stats, it looks pretty likely that they won’t manage it.

Malta have only leaked 5 in their 3 away games so far, just 2 in Croatia and only 1 in their surprise 1.1 draw with Bulgaria while going back further, they have only suffered 2 real hammerings in recent years with Denmark and Bulgaria both dishing out 6.0 beatings 2 years ago in the World Cup qualifiers but generally speaking, they are not at the same level as a San Marino or Gibrlatar. in 5 years and 22 away fixtures, they have only lost 2 fixtures by more than 3 goals.

Since that heavy loss to Denmark, they have improved to a point where they only conceded 3 goals on one occasion in their last 12 fixtures with no more than 2 goals conceded in any of the other 11 fixtures. Italy need at least 4 to beat my bet here.

Italy while virtually unbeatable at home, rarely dish out heavy defeats and in 80 fixtures at home, going back over 12 years, they have only won 1 fixture by more than 3 goals, that a 5.0 win over the Faroes so when they win, they rarely give anyone a spanking. Remarkably, the Italians have only ever lost 3 competitive home fixtures, and never in World Cup qualifying fixtures so I sure ain’t tipping the away win but I fancy the handicap plus 4 for Malta with Italy not scoring more than 2 goals in any of their last 15 home fixtures.

Given their less than impressive results against minnows in recent years, I don’t expect them to put on a show here especially as Malta are usually fairly well organised and I will be surprised if they score more than 3 so Malta to win plus 4 goals @4/7 looks good to me and I’m even tempted to take them at plus 3 @13/10

    Suggested Bets

    Czech v Kazakhstan – BTTS @11/8
    Holland v Iceland – BTTS @ 6/5
    Wales to beat Cyprus @4/5
Croatia to beat Azerbaijan -1 AH @1.525 and normal handicap -1 @20/21
Belgium to beat Bosnia – 1/2
Gareth Bale to score anytime @21/20
Israel -2 to beat Andorra @8/15
Italy v Malta – Malta plus 4 goals to win @4/7
    Bulgaria v Norway – Draw @12/5

International – EURO qualification Group. F

    20:45 Faroe Islands vs N.Ireland – Prediction 0.1- Suggested Bets – Under 2.5 goals @3/5

Northern Ireland have a wonderful chance to qualify for the finals in France next summer but they really need to try to get 3 points here against the not so awful Faroes who have surged up the FIFA rankings following their stunning double victory over a Greece side very much continuing the current tradition of Greek shame. What happened to 2004 eh boys?

The Irish are enjoying a wonderful campaign sitting 2nd in the group with 13 points and while they are odds on favourites to win here @8/13, I don’t think it’s a bet I’ll be taking, considering the usually woeful away form of the Irish in years gone by.

The visitors today had gone 16 away matches without a victory before they shocked Hungary in Budapest and followed that up with another away win, this time in Greece a month later but their overall away record in recent history is pretty awful with just 5 wins in 57 away games over 8 years.

Ok, it’s only the Faroes but they showed not just in their wins over Greece but also in narrow defeats to Romania and Hungary that they are not the same pushovers they once were and while I hope the Irish can get the result they need, it won’t be on my best bets today.

The more realistic bet is the under 2.5 goals market which pays at 3/5. Only 2 of Northern Ireland’s last 14 away games have seen more than 2.5 goals and I expect a similar outcome here with the visitors perhaps just sneaking it.

20:45 Greece vs Finland – Prediction – Suggested Bets – No bets

Two teams with really little to play for so this is a definite no bet fixture for me.

    20:45 Hungary vs Romania – Prediction 1.1- Suggested Bets – Draw @21/10 Under 2.5 goals @1/2

Biggest game of the group tonight sees top of the table Romania travel to Budapest to take on a Hungary side that sit just 2 points behind the Romanians in the chase for qualification.

This is a game that looks certain to be low scoring in a group that has for the most part been very tight and lacking in goal action. Hungary have won 3, drawn 2 and lost just once while only scoring 5 goals in the process but conceding only 1. The very fact that Northern Ireland are the groups top scorers tells you all you need to know about this section and the recent history of these 2 sides suggest goals will certainly be at a premium.

Hungary’s last 5 fixtures in the group produced just 4 goals and only 1 conceded with 5 of their 6 fixtures in the group going under 2.5 goals while Romania have seen only 8 goals scored in their 6 fixtures with all 6 going under 2.5 goals.

With all that is on the line, I can really envisage a tight, close and low scoring fixture that neither side will want to lose, so I’ll take the 8/15 on under 2.5 goals while I also quite fancy the possibility of a draw so it’s either 0.0 or 1.1. Take your pick in what could be one of my favourite dour draws of the weekend.

International – EURO qualification Group I

20:45 Denmark vs Albania – Prediction 1.1- Suggested Bets – Albania not to lose @5/4, BTTS @6/5

Denmark take on another of the competitions surprise packages in Albania who travel to Copenhagen in fine spirits having won 3 of their opening 4 fixtures in the group.

Both sides are locked on 10 points but the visitors do have a game in hand and will fancy their chances of getting a positive result in this fixture in which the Danes are considered 4/6 odds on favourites with the bookies despite Albania being unbeaten so far.

Denmark have won 4 of their last 5 at home but only 2 of those were competitive games and going back a little longer they have just 3 wins from their previous 8 home qualifying matches and I’m not convinced that 4/6 represents a fair price for the Danes in a fixture that should be closely fought.

It really has been a great campaign so far for Albania though with 2 stunning away wins in both Portugal and Serbia really sending out shock-waves cross Europe while they also took a point at home to the Danes and recorded a further win in their home contest with Armenia. Not only that but a win and a draw over next summers hosts France in friendly fixtures show that this is an Albanian team not to be under-estimated. They have lost just 1 in 7, that a 1.0 reverse in a friendly in Italy and they have every chance of finishing in either the top 2 or in the play-off position.

The two bets to consider are BTTS and Albania not to lose. The Albanians have scored in 4 of their last 5 away games while they have only conceded twice in 8 games so I really fancy that they can take a point or better here @5/4 odds. BTTS is priced at big 6/5 and is possible, considering the form of Albania but also the Danes strong home form which has seen them score at least one goal in 11 of their last 13 home fixtures.

i fancy this one could finish level and I’m gonna try Albania not to lose @5/4 and BTTS @6/5.

20:45 Serbia vs Armenia – Prediction – Suggested Bets – No bets

Both sides have just 2 points between them, and have no chance to qualify so for that reason, there shall not be any bets here.

World champions Germany are as short as 1/4 to beat Poland here and while they should get the win that they need, it won’t be easy against an old rival that had the better of them 10 months ago in Warsaw.

The competitions most keenly contested group is really hotting up and this fixture could prove vital in determining who it will be that qualifies for next summers finals and anything but a win for Germany will leave their own place in the tournament under threat with Scotland and the Poles in good positions to claim 1 or both of the automatic qualifying spots available.

Having dropped home points to Ireland and in Poland, the Germans cannot rest on their laurels and assume that qualification will just take care of itself and they HAVE to see this fixture as a must win if they are to be succesful in their pursuit of the top 2 positions in the section. A draw here and a Scotland win in Georgia would have the Germans travelling to Glasgow on Monday night level with the Scots in joint 2nd position, knowing that another away trip to Ireland still awaits them. Make no mistakes, the Germans cannot afford to make any mistakes here, especially not to their old rivals Poland.

The Poles have looked very dangerous in this campaign and were particularly impressive in their fine 2.0 win over Germany last year although they did of course struggle with the brilliant Scots who claimed a well earned point in Poland having lead 2.1 with 20 minutes to play but we have come to expect that from the revitalised Scots!

Germany have been average so far and I’m certainly not backing a home win with a price as silly as 1/4. This is a good Poland team that have a world class striker in Lewandowski as well as the young and dangerous Ajax forward Millik, and they will be hugely up for this contest and I just don’t see them being remotely scared of the test to follow, especially considering the performances of both Scotland and Ireland in Germany. It iis also worth remembering that the Poles are unbeaten in 3 meetings with Germany over the past 5 years.

The Polish are also unbeaten in their last 10 fixtures, last beaten by the brilliant Scots in a friendly, and will travel to Germany with high spirits and with the rivalry that exists, I expect a hot tempered and highly competitive fixture that could see BTTS, certainly based on recent stats. The Germans have seen BTTS in 9 of their last 11 fixtures and in 7 of their last 8 at home with goals leaked in Germany against the following teams; Armenia, Cameroon, Ireland, Australia, USA and of course two of the stronger nations in world football, Argentina and Scotland. Stop laughing.

While a home win is expected, I much prefer the BTTS odds of 11/10 with Poland scoring in 8 of their last 11 away qualifiers and Germany conceding a remarkable 21 goals in their last 15 home fixtures. They have only managed 1 clean sheet in 8 at home, and that to Gibraltar! They are still not resembling the team that won the World Cup last summer and for me, the 11/4 on Poland not to lose might be worth a sniff.

I’ll go with BTTS at odds against 11/10 as my best bet here though.

20:45 Gibraltar vs Ireland – Prediction -0.4 – Suggested Bets – No bets

This is not a fixture that in anyway resembles something I should be betting on. Easy away win and a bench mark for Scotland to set in 2 months time.

    Suggested Bets

    Faroes v N Ireland – Under 2.5 goals @3/5
    Hungary v Romania – Under 2.5 goals @1/2
Denmark v Albania – Albania not to lose @4/5,
    Denmark v Albania – BTTS @6/5
    Germany v Poland – BTTS @11/10

    Long shots

    Poland not to lose @11/4

We early spot for potential unplay goal lines in the afternoon. After much success on the women’s Champions League and a familiar name popped up.

    Slovenian Womens League 3pm

ZNK Pomurje v ZNK Rudar Skale

These 2 sides have played each other 23 times and there’s been 121 goals in those games at an average of 5.2 per game. They have played 14 times at Pomurje ground and there’s been 80 goals . 18 of the 23 meetings have been O3.5gls including the last 7 meetings which have had 42 goals

Recent form bodes well with both having played 2 league games with both teams scoring 16 goals each in 2 games. Pomurje have won 6-1 and 10-0 with Rudar winning 5-0 and 11-0.

Il use twitter or just use the basic method of google can usually find something but havnt for these so far.

Gamba v nagoya last couple results gave shown goals with gamba winning 3-1 and 3-2. Am expecting to see a similar result today so over 2.5match goals seems reasonable.

Albirex v urawa these played recently and it was a very open games with plenty of chances. Urawa have been letting a fair few goals in recently. The last result finished 1-2 to urawa but think the btts is most likely.

Tokyo v antlers. In the last 6 games tokyo have scored 15 and conceesed 5 where as kashima gave scored 13 and conceeded 5. Both are capable of scoring and can see btts and overs coming in.

Reysol v kobe. Reysol were on a good winning streak without conceedong in some but havnt won for last 2 games and conceeded in both. Where as kobe won their last match with a 7-1 thriller. I can definately see both sides scoring here

Odds arnt available for btts yet with my bookie and im not really confident with these with it being the cup but hope it helps a little. Doubt il get any team news before kickoff now but am expecting strong lineups.

Might throw them in a yankee myself with a single stake

    Cheer Neil –

Here is my final preview for today, the dreaded Scotland fixture.

    1800 CET – Georgia v Scotland – Predictions – 0.1 – Suggested Bets – Scotland to win @1/1

Quite honestly, I can’t bet on this fixture for a number of reasons. Well I can, only I really shouldn’t.

Firstly, the bookies now seem to realise Scotland aren’t crap anymore and they have us priced at 1/1 favourites to win in Georgia. While one part of me feels it’s a good price because everyone else in the group has managed it so far, another part of me is absolutely terrified about this game, for obvious reasons and memories, and I doubt that having any potential bets riding on a Scotland win would aid my state of mind, should we fail to do the business.

Quite simply, this fixture and the rest of this campaign mean more to me as a Scotland fan than any other fixtures in recent history. WE HAVE TO QUALIFY. It’s just that simple and my belief is that if we are to qualify, 3 points will be essential here. Nothing can be guaranteed from our next 2 fixtures at home to Germany and Poland and if we fail to win here it will surely result in 1 of those glorious failures we have gotten so skilled at.

Still, I have been banging on about Scotland qualifying for over a year now having first tipped them up at 11/4 and I’m not going to change my tune now, especially as our odds are now 8/11 on for qualification so while I do expect us to win, is the 1/1 price a good one and should we take it?

Scotland are good on the road under Strachan and with only 2 defeats in 15 fixtures, this is the most confident the nation has been about the team in many a year and that confidence is certainly being translated in the players performances over the past 2 years. Their own confidence is now huge and why shouldn’t it be? Scotland have lost just 1 of their last 7 away games, that to Germany in the first game of this section but since then they are unbeaten having taken 4 points from Ireland and gained a precious draw in Poland as well as wins over Georgia and Gibraltar at home.

Georgia are no mugs but it remains to be seen if they will attack Scotland or whether they will be content to cede position and look to hit the Scots on the counter attack. I expect the latter and it could prove enormously difficult for the Scots to break down this team if that should be their intention.

The home fixture saw Scotland play some brilliant football but they only emerged with a narrow 1.0 win although in truth it should have been more comfortable than that. The Georgians aren’t a great team but they are undoubtedly to be respected although the Scots are fully aware that all 3 of their rivals in the group have already won in Georgia and a Scottish failure to do so here would be a serious setback that is not out of the question when you consider that the Georgians held France to a goal-less draw in qualifying 2 years ago, and also beat Croatia in qualifying 4 years ago.

So do I have the balls to back Scotland in my best bets? I’m confident we are going to win and I would imagine the 1/1 on offer will shorten before kick-off on Friday so they might find their way on to one of my trebles but I don’t know if I could take a late Georgian goal to break both bets and hearts. Let’s wait and see.

Much depends on the intent of the Georgians and I really do hope they come out and try to get at the Scots. This will allow our pacy wide men to counter effectively and if the match should play out in that form then I can see Scotland edging to a more comfortable victory than anyone would ever dream possible.

In terms of team selection, I do hope that Ikechi Anya will be in the starting line up but once again it depends how deep the Georgians plan on defending their own penalty box. It could be a conundrum for Strachan but you would expect the speedy winger to be in the first 11.

Indeed Strachan has plenty of decisions to make regarding his team. Does Charlie Mulgrew start? and if so, where? What about Darren Fletcher? fully fit and playing games at WBA, his experience could be vital in a fixture like this. Brown, Morrison, Maloney and Steven Fletcher would seem certain to start but certainly the final midfield berth and the full back areas are still up for grabs with Craig Forsyth surely set to be dropped after his poor display in Ireland. Steven Whittaker offers experience and attacking verve and should be in at left-back.

My ideal team for this match would look like this, playing in our now customary 4.3.3, I would also add Darren Fletcher to midfield but I have a feeling Strachan will be more adventurous and you might find Steven Naismith or Matt Richie starting with Maloney playing at the tip of the midfield 3.

Suggested Scotland 11 – Marshall; Hutton, Martin, Mulgrew, Whittaker, Brown , Morrison; Fletcher, Maloney, Anya; Fletcher.

In the end, Scotland should win but then again, how often have we said that? throughout this campaign I have felt utterly confident and almost expectant that Scotland would qualify but now with these crunch fixtures upon us, I have that traditional sense of Scottish doom. Is this going to be our breaking point? or will we rise like the lions we are and bring home the crucial 3 points?

Friday will tell us everything we need to know about this Scotland team. Win this one and surely our dreams will come true. Defeat? well it’s not even worth thinking about.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

ryan, I’ve written my Scotland preview for Friday’s paper and like you I’m nervously taking a win.
Georgia have picked a young squad as they look ahead to World Cup qualifying and they haven’t got the fans on their side.
Scotland are taking a 2000-strong support over – the biggest travelling group Georgia has seen – and hopefully they’ll get right behind the team and get them over the line.
An early goal would be great but knowing Scotland it won’t come and they’ll be having us watch through the cracks of our fingers.

    • AL 9 years ago

Great write ups Ryan. Already backed Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland in a treble that pays over 5/1. Looks a solid bet at that odds

  55. Mr H 9 years ago

Icelandic u19 youth game at 7pm between Valur and Afturedling could be interesting for goal lines. Played in July and Valur won 7-2 then played in August and Afturedling won 4-3. Valurs 13 games have produced 70 goals and Afturedlings 15 games have produced 61 goals. Ony 1 team in this league has a match goals average under 3.5gls per match

  56. Johnb 9 years ago

Mr F don’t know it’s been commented already but what do you think about Germany v Poland
    Both to score 23/20 boylysports

Odds are shortening with other bookies

  57. Johnb 9 years ago

Ryan just noticed you have already mentioned both to score in Germany Poland match

  58. ryan 9 years ago

Mr F – That sounds like positive news although I remember last time the Georgians had a 17 year old kid in goal, 4th choice or something and we still lost 2.0! Oh painful days.

Still, 2000 fans, what a nation! Absolutely tremendous to take that kind of support as far afield as Georgia.

Still nervy times indeed to lie ahead.

Johnb – I do fancy BTTS in the German game

“While a home win is expected, I much prefer the BTTS odds of 11/10 with Poland scoring in 8 of their last 11 away qualifiers and Germany conceding a remarkable 21 goals in their last 15 home fixtures. They have only managed 1 clean sheet in 8 at home, and that to Gibraltar!

Stop laughing”

  60. Harry 9 years ago

    Croatia 2.HNL – 16.30

    Radnik Sesvete v Segesta Sisak

I was surprised to find something I felt was this good value in a league I rarely research on a day with such a limited selection. I’ll give you all the stats, then the bet and price.

The croatian 2nd division is 3 games into the new season. Our hosts, Sesvete, have played one home game in which they won 3-0, sandwiched between two away defeats (2-0 & 3-1). Their home record really interests me as it couldn’t be more different to their away form and this could be why the value is there.

Despite getting off to a worse start than today’s visitors, Sesvete are only 1.62 to win. They’ve won their last 5 home games, averaging exactly 3 team goals per game, with every game going over 2.5 match goals. It’s a year since their last home game had less than 2 goals scored.

Their opponents today, Segesta, have started the season slightly better with 2 wins and 1 defeat. They won 2-1 away and 4-1 at home, with a 2-1 defeat in the middle. Their away record last season was terrible with only 2 wins all season, but they look like improving and have been scoring more recently.

Looking at Segesta’s last 5 away games, they’ve had 4 games go over 2.5 goals, and a 1-1 draw. They only managed to score in 6 of their 16 aways last season but have now found the net in 4 of their last 5.

After checking and processing those form stats, I expected to find a really dull head to head record full of 0-0’s and 1-0’s for the odds to make more sense to me. These 2 sides have met 8 times, with all of the games played within the last 5 years. ALL 8 of their games has seen both sides scoring, with just two games ending 1-1, meaning the other 6 have gone over 2.5 goals. With 32 goals having been scored over their 8 games, the goals scored per game averages exactly 4.

Over 2.5 goals pays 21/20 at bet365, which I think is a great price seeing as the home side are capable of covering this on their own. When you factor in the away sides recent scoring record, and the fact they’ve scored against todays hosts in all 8 meetings, it looks like good value. Both teams to score pays the same price but with betway, and also looks like it should land, although a couple of 3-0 and 4-0 wins for today’s hosts pushes me towards backing match goals instead.

    Over 2.5 goals 21/20 bet365

Jordan, with Kyrgios you don’t what’s going to happen to be honest.
I watched the whole game in the office because we hoped to get it in the paper today but needed it be 3 sets.
There was never any doubt Murray would win but Kyrgios hit a number of Hollywood shots and played spectacularly to win the third set.
In the fourth he just went missing and at the end had almost given up.
If he was consistent and gets his head screwed on he could be a future Slam winner but showing no signs of growing up.

  72. ryan 9 years ago

Yes Jordan, I don’t bet on every one of my “suggested bets” but I do always post my final “best bets” on my own page every day. All of my winnings and losses for the last 5 months are recorded on that page and without being conceited, yes I am in very healthy profit since I first started this experiment.

I start with 100 points, never betting more than 10 in any 1 day, never more than 5 on any 1 bet and usually around 30-35 per week.

This last month for example, I posted these results

    62 BETS, 21 WINNERS, 41 LOSERS

Final August Balance – 182.43 Points (82.43% profit)

I usually do a 1 or 2 doubles and 1 or 2 trebles on weekends and midweeks.

Iceland we’ve heard all about for them to score a goal. As we know,Cyprus like to put themselves about and will make life tough for Wales. They’ll fancy their chances on home turf and I don’t see why they shouldn’t score, providing they can keep ten men on the pitch! They’ll be all out to keep Bale quiet, lets hope that’s after Cyprus score.
Norway need a win to keep the pressure on Croatia and Italy above them. Bulgaria have been pretty decent in the Euros, not without scoring a few goals themselves,I’m confidant however that Norway will score at least once.

Johnb you can get Poland to score @ EVS @ Boyles, obviously BTTS should be the logical call but I know some would just prefer to back the value goal. Think Slovakia are well priced too. 29/20 to score against Spain. Might be worth a gamble.

Anybody who likes recurring stat. There has been an own goal in Englands last two games against San Marino. Further more, its been scored by the same player each time. Third times a charm? nagybobi14 I do think the Forfar/Dunfermline bet could be taken as a single but Scottish football isn’t my strong point mate. Think it was 5/6 @ 365 the last time I checked. Walsall/Bury BTTS & Over 2.5 has a chance too but I thought I’d chance them in the acca.

Ryan I see, impressive numbers. Suppose those draw accas have helped though. Good look with your bets mate.

    Euros Tomorrow
    Croatia > 1.5 TGS
    Norway to Score
    1.5/1

Croatia play free flowing football and with players such as Perisic, Mandzukic, Modric and Rakatic I hope they can get a couple against Bulgaria.
Norway need wins and Bulgaria have 1 clean sheet in 11 games.

Will also see if a card markets comes up for the Italy v Malta game. In 6 games Malta have had 12 yellows and 2 reds and I reckon they will carry on hacking against the Italians!

  85. HullShaker 9 years ago

    Afternoon gents,

Well, the Brasilian gamble didn’t pay off last night and goes to show that if a price looks to good to be true…it often is!

The bookies don’t often get it wrong but sometimes they do – I thought the Icelandic 1 Deild game yesterday looked too big for the away win and goals and they both came in…think I have one for tonight along the same lines:

    HOTTUR V DALVIK – 2 DEILD – KO 7.00:

Don’t really have time to write a load of flim-flam but have a look and make your own minds up!

Basically I think the goal market is showing better value than I would have anticipated.

Over 4.5 match goals pays 2/1 and looks a good price knowing the away team involved.

At a stretch, Over 5.5 could have a chance and pays a massive 21/5.

I’d actually noted down Hottur to score Over 3.5 goals at 6/4 as well but they are usually fairly low scorers against relative opposition…against our defensively challenged friends it could have a chance though.

Also worth a look on the goals-front is the U19 6.00 KO between IBV and Throttur – Over 4.5 match goals would be mu selection at 11/10

Set myself up for a fall now haven’t I…good luck if you have a go!

Quick question if someone can answer
Is the racing post paper the same as the racing and football outlook paper or are they different only racing post I could find in the shop
    Cheers

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Da-tha-man, they are different but published by same people.
RFO is weekly (comes out Tuesdays – try a supermarket) and has a separate football pullout. I buy mine and throw away the racing section!
Racing Post is a daily paper with a small section on football and other sports at the back end.

Brief summary of my bets for tomorrow’s qualifiers as I posted most of the bets a couple days ago but gave no reasoning. Focusing on 3 games I like the look of

    Czech Republic v Kazakhstan

Both sides have played 6 qualifiers in this current campaign. 5 out of the 6 Czech games have ended over 2.5 goals with the other game being a 1-1 draw with a negative Latvia team. The Czech’s won the reverse fixture 4-2 in Kazakhstan and interestingly haven’t kept a clean sheet in 11 games dating back 22 months. Even more interestingly, Kazakhstan have scored in their last 8 competitive away games, the last time they didn’t was October 2012! Their two away games in this campaign have ended in 3-1 defeats in Holland & Turkey, so they’ve definitely got the ability to net against a leaky Czech defence.

    Main bet:
    Over 3.0 Goal Line 41/40 bet365

    Other recommended:
Czech to win & BTTS 5/2 boylesports

    Holland v Iceland

I know I’m not alone in questioning why Iceland are priced so generously for this game. Before this qualifying campaign you’d have been forgiven for thinking this game would be a stroll in the park for the Dutch. They’d beaten Iceland in 9 of the 10 meetings (1 draw), dating back to 1973, and gave a fairly good showing at the world cup last summer with a few standout performances. After 6 games however, it’s Iceland who have been by far the more impressive. The Dutch have only kept 2 clean sheets from 6 so far and they were both against Latvia. They conceded at home to Kazakhstan and Turkey, and lost 2-0 away to Iceland in the reverse fixture. Iceland on the other hand have been flying through qualifying, with 5 wins and 1 defeat (away to Czech Republic). They’ve scored in every one of their games and are sitting pretty at the top of their group. I’ve backed them to score at least 1 goal in every game so far and they’re yet to let me down. Funnily, Iceland to score in this reverse fixture almost a year ago was my 1st ever tip posted so I’ve naturally had a soft spot for them since.

    Main bet:
    Iceland over 0.5 team goals 21/20 Hill’s

    Israel v Andorra

This one doesn’t need quite as much detail. Andorra aren’t really improving and have lost their 2 away games in this campaign 6-0 and 5-0 to high-flying Belgium and not so high-flying Cyprus respectively. To put into perspective, Cyprus hadn’t scored more than 2 goals in a competitive match for almost 5 years, yet they hit Andorra for 5 with relative ease. Israel haven’t been great at home in the last couple of games but won the reverse fixture 4-1 and also beat Bosnia 3-0. A less obvious market I like in this game is “time of 1st team goal”. Andorra have conceded in less than 23 minutes in 5 of their 6 games in this campaign.

    Main bet:
    Israel -3.0 AH 10/11 888sport

    Other recommended:
    Israel 1st goal before 24:00 5/6 bet365

    Long shot trixie:

Czech Republic to win & BTTS

    Iceland over 1.5 team goals

Israel v Andorra over 0.5 goals in first 10 minutes

    Treble pays 73/1 bet365

Germany have two big games coming up Poland leaders of Group at home then travel to Glasgow to play Scotland who lie 3rd only 2pts behind Germany and 3pts behind Poland , The Germans will probably win the Poland game as like they use to do with Austria both teams always went through and I can see the same happening here with next door neighbours ,

Poland won their home game against Germany 2-0 I expect the reverse result a 2-0 win for Germany which will keep both of them happy and on target to qualify ,

Dom, I saw your post about Regensburg last week as I was also looking at that game myself for them to score twice. I looked at stats etc, everything looked good, and then when I checked the betting trends, the opposing side were being backed on the double chance more than Regensburg were to win. Why? I don’t know, but that is why sticking to leagues/teams you know more about and that you know if a weaker team is put out is necessary. Everything can look good on paper, but ultimately, not knowing the ins and outs of the squad or any team news can be the killer. I suggest you use oddschecker or another related site which shows where the money is going.

If you look at MOST of the teams you have bet on, you have to ask what kind of standard of football are those teams playing in? Russian 2nd division, Philippines, cup games, away teams that are odds on. Nothing that screams out you should bet on them to win. Chelsea weren’t a stand out bet on the weekend in my opinion, certainly not after the start they had (I tipped BTTS).

Some would argue against me, but I’d say stick to goals. Gregs bet may have lost yesterday but I wouldn’t stop following Greg just because of that loss as you’ll kick yourself if both bets he’s posted win today. Head high mate.

As promised, here are my big previews for Friday’s action.

    EURO qualification Group E

    18:00 Estonia v Lithuania – Prediction – Suggested Bets – No bets

This isn’t game I want to get involved in. No bets

18:00 San Marino vs England – Prediction – 0.5 – Suggested Bets – Why bother?

The most pointless team in European football take on San Marino…Just joking. San Marino, famed for their levels of utter mediocrity take on an England of similar fame in a fixture that is barely worth writing about but alas I shall carry on. Coffee please.

England will win. By at least 3, probably by 4 to 6 goals. Is the handicap of -5 @20/21 worth it? I don’t know. It’s San Marino and it’s pointless.

Will Wayne Rooney break Sir Bobby’s record? If he starts he only needs 2 goals to do it and the bookies expect he will with crazy short odds of just 8/11 on the United striker to be the first Englishman to hit 50 International goals.

I just have this feeling that Rooney might not want to break the record in a setting as utterly futile as this and it would not surprise me to see him rested for this one with Harry Kane perhaps given a chance to score the goals that will give this San Marino team yet another defeat on their record.

They did actually draw their last home qualifier, a 0.0 with Estonia which broke a sequence of 57 successive defeats in competitive fixtures. Perhaps they are on the rise?

    England better watch out…

20:45 Switzerland vs Slovenia – Prediction 2.0- Suggested Bets – Switzerland to win @!/2

3rd placed Slovenia visit the beautiful land of chocolate and knives to take on group leaders Switzerland in a match that is vitally important to both sides with 1 automatic qualifying position still up for grabs.

The hosts know that a victory will all but guarantee a place at next summers finals while the visiting Slovenians know a win could put them right back in the hunt so both sides have everything to play for here.

3 points separate the two sides and the Slovenians will know that should they lose here and Estonia beat Lithuania, they would find themselves 4th in the section and that eventuality is very much a possibility for the future Scotland opponents who will be hoping for at least a point here.

I expect a home win and the bookies agree, pricing the Swiss @1/2 on to take the full points on offer and their home record does suggest they are capable of doing that against a side that don’t tend to travel all that well.

Slovenia have lost 7 of their last 8 away games going back 2 years while the Swiss have won 8 of their previous 11 home qualifiers going back 5 years with England they only team to beat them in 16 previous home fixtures in qualifying matches although the English did win twice in that period.

But this is a good Swiss team these days with exciting talent like Xhaka and Shakiri to call on and I expect them to edge to a narrow win over there visiting neighbours to the east. The home side in good form, winning 5 of their last 7 against a team that don’t travel well and probably don’t possess enough firepower to hurt their opponents today.

    EURO qualification Group G

    18:00 Russia vs Sweden – Prediction -1.1 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @11/10, Draw @12/5

3rd placed Russia welcome rivals Sweden to Moscow with 3 points a necessity for the home side who trail their opponents today by 4 points and leaders Austria by a further 4 points in this interesting section.

Fabio Capello has been dismissed and replaced with the brilliantly named former CSKA boss Leonin Slutsky and this should at least deliver a short-term boost for the ailing home side.

Any team getting rid of Capello is bound to pick up by at least 20% and the Russians will need it having lost their last home fixture to Austria in what has been a desperately disappointing campaign for the 2018 World Cup host nation who have also dropped points at home to lowly Moldova as well as losing in Austria to hand 6 points to their key rivals.

Sweden will be more than happy with a point and with Zlatan in their ranks, they are more than capable of scoring on the road having managed that feat in 13 of their previous 14 qualifiers going back 5 years.

My feeling is that Russia will need to play an attacking game with 3rd place and the play-offs little consolation to this country so we should expect them to go for it and really try to take the game to the Swedes.

I’m gonna try BTTS here at a big price of 11/10 and could be worth a shot in a game that I expect to be quite open, due to the Russians absolute need to win and the expectant crowd who are likely to get restless if their team are not delivering and Sweden’s ability to score on their travels.

In the end, I think the spoils will be shared and a 1.1 draw is my call for this one so the BTTS has a chance at a big price of 11/10.

20:45 Austria vs Moldova – Prediction – Suggested Bets – Austria to score less than 3 goals (under 2.5) @8/11

The Austrians have 5 wins from 6 and are all but guaranteed to be at next summers finals and the visit of Moldova is unlikely to halt that progress with the hosts as short as 1/7 to win against modest opponents.

While a home win looks routine enough on paper, it might not be quite so straight-forward with the Moldovan’s not quite as weak as you might imagine.

The visitors have not conceded more than 2 goals in any of their previous 10 away fixtures with England the only team to beat them by more than 3 in their last 15 away.

Austria themselves while having this great campaign are not exactly huge goalscorers having failed to score more than 1 goal in any of their last 10 at home while the previous meeting in Chisinau between these two sides saw the Austrians claim the points with a narrow 2.1 success.

Therefore, I’m considering backing Austria to score less than 3 goals @8/11. They have failed to score more than 1 goal in any of their last 10 at home and Moldova’s record of not conceding more than 2 goals in any of their previous 10 away fixtures, and only once in 15 makes this a bet worth trying.

It’s an unusual bet for me but it might just come off as I can envisage a low scoring yet comfortable home win for Austria in a game where I do not expect a flood of goals. Here’s hoping.

20:45 Montenegro vs Liechtenstein – Prediction – Suggested Bets – No bets

The hosts are in a rotten run of form and with only 5 points so far don’t look likely to qualify for next summer’s finals and while you would expect the home win, the 1/7 on offer is too short and this is a fixture to avoid. No bets.

    EURO qualification Group. C

18:00 Luxembourg vs Macedonia – No bets

Neither side is in the running to qualify so for that reason, it’s a match worth avoiding.

    18:00 Ukraine vs Belarus – Prediction – 2.0 = Suggested Bets – No bets

Ukraine are just a little short @2/5 odds on to win here with Belarus no mugs and the hosts capable of slipping up at home.

Traditionally Ukraine are strong on their own patch but recent form is less than convincing. They lost their first home qualifier to Slovakia and then only narrowly scraped past Macedonia with a 1.0 win. Two recent friendlies have seen them held to draws at home with both Lithuania and Latvia and while you would expect them to keep the pressure up on the top two in group with a win here, it might not be quite as straight-forward as the 2/5 price suggests.

If you want a home win on your coupon at reasonable odds then this is a fixture worth considering, as I would imagine the Ukrainians doing enough to get the points but something tells me that this fixture is best left to the pocket change bets.

20:45 Spain vs Slovakia- Prediction 1.0 – Suggested Bets – Slovakia plus 2 to win @1/1

The biggest game of the night sees group leaders Slovakia travel to the unusual location of Oviedo in northern Spain for a top of the table clash with current European champions Spain who sit 3 points behind their visiting opponents tonight who are all but guaranteed to be going to the big event in 9 months time having romped the group so far.

It has been a perfect section for Slovakia, with 6 wins from 6 and 18 points collected so far and their current form is outstanding with 12 wins from their last 13 International fixtures and 5 away wins from their previous 6.

Spain we know have struggled since their humiliating World Cup last summer and there isn’t enough tea in China to convince me that the home side are good value to win at crazy short odd of just 1/4 on.

The Spaniards have lost 6 of their last 13 fixtures since the beginning of the World Cup and they have barely picked up form since then with Slovakia beating them in Bratislava and 3 friendly defeats suffered at the hands of Germany, France and Holland where they failed to find the net even once. Their most recent fixture saw them edge to a nervy 1.0 win in Belarus and I really do not expect them to suddenly turn on the style here as those odds would suggest they should.

I’m really confident in backing Slovakia to win on the handicap with a 1/1 price available for Slovakia plus 2 goals! Simply put, I’m confident they won’t lose by more than 1, if indeed they do lose which for me, is by no means a lock.

The Spanish can’t really afford to drop any more points with an away game in Ukraine still to come and while they should just about get the win they need, the odds of 1/4 are in no reflection to the current form of the hosts and the relevant ability of the visitors and I can’t see this being anything other than a low scoring and very closely fought contest between an over-rated Spain and an under-rated Slovakia.

With only 3 defeats in 21 and 0 from their last 9 fixtures, this is a rapidly improving Slovak side and I expect them to put in a dogged and resolute performance that could really make life difficult for Spain and I believe they won’t lose by more than 1 goal in this fixture.

    Suggested Bets

    Switzerland to win @1/2
    Russia v Sweden – BTTS @11/10
Austria to score under 2.5 match goals @8/11
Slovakia plus 2 goals to win @1/1
    Russia v Sweden – draw @12/5

    SATURDAY SUPER SINGLE:
    Walsall v Bury:

    Walsall Win/Over 1.5 Goals @ 15/8 paddypower.

This price looks huge and must be based on recent meetings stats rather than form,Walsall won 4/5 lg 2 games losing none and reaching over 1.5 in each win scoring 11 { lg best} conceding just 3, Bury won 0/5 but drawing 4 times and have conceded 11 times,2nd worst in the division.Walsall have failed to beat them in last 6 meetings but these were between Feb 2001 and April 2013 so shouldnt really mean much this Saturday, cant see any other reason for the huge odds unless Bury have bought Messi ;)

Another with odds i like but im now giving reasoning is:
    Leyton Orient Win/Over 1.5 @ 6/4 away to Exeter.
    GOOD LUCK.

    Hottur v Dalvik:

    Hottur Over 3.5 team goals…6/4…won
    Over 4.5 match goals…2/1…won
Over 5.5 match goals…21/5…lost – bit gutted about this one as Hottur were 5-0 up after 50 minutes and not a goal from then on in.

Also a nice 11/10 over 4.5 goals winner in the U19 game.

Crane, Coral pretty decent for the early goal prices.

I’ve got tomorrow and Saturdays bets up so thought I’d take my chances on this one for Friday.

In Gibraltars home qualifiers against Poland and Germany, they were only 1-0 down at the half, and went on to lose 7-0 in both games. Most of the Gibraltan players are amateurs, so fitness is probably the likely reason for this. Interesting stat, 8 of Irelands last 9 competitive goals have come in the second half. Ireland were 3-0 up within 18 minutes at home with a Robbie Keane hattrick, they then went on to score 4 goals in the second half and win 7-0. Spooky.

    Friday – Euro Qualifier – 7:45PM

Gibraltar/Republic of Ireland – Half With Most Goals
    Second Half @ 10/11 @ Boyles – 1.1

1.1 point isn’t much but I don’t like limiting myself to 45 minutes betting. I’m also a sucker for trending stats :)

    Small stakes advised!

Evening Sean, hope you are well mate – note of caution with your fancy though don’t let it put you off:

We hven’t signed Messi but we should have Leon Clarke back from injury and he is one heck of a striker. Nardiello still to come back up front but may be a while yet.

Alongside others missing we have potentially one of the most potent attacking line ups in the division.

A re-strengthened Shakers team will be more than capable of taking it to Walsall.

Advice would be to check team/injury news closer to KO.

    Good luck

    Thoughts on tomorrow

    Lichtenstein u21 v Hungary u21 KO 2pm

You have to feel for poor Lichtenstein, 37 consecutive defeats, 3 or more goals concdeded in 31 of those matches and they’ve only managed to score in 2 of their last 15 games! They welcome a hungry side who have recently drawn with Italy and smashed 4 past Bosnia! The question for this encounter is not if Hungary will win but how many they will win by! Hungary to keep a clean sheet is tempting at 8/11 but not a market Im a fan of! Given Liechtenstein are awful and they are up against a decent Hungarian side, it has the look of a 3-0 or 4-0 away win! Two bets for me

    Hungary u21 over 2.5 teams goals 4/6 (Bet365) (NAP)
Over 3.5 match goals 5/4 (PP)

Evening Jordan – have you right on that one mate..Btts and overs is on at 13/10 with 365 and is well worth a punt – I’ll be waiting for team news through the week and hoping for a stronger selection than we’ve had in recent games.

Not a great price but if I were to have a NAP it would be Bury to score in the 2nd half at 10/11.

You might not think too highly of me but Walsall to score are in my main treble for Saturday with Plymouth and Wycombe haha, hopefully Clarke is in your line up but a few of your lads have a couple this season. Pope, Mayor, Rose and Soares.
