IT was a weekend of hell for my tips with only the Bets of the Day saving me.
I took a chance yesterday with a double on Man United and Celtic to cancel out Super Single losses but the Reds were shocking. If they’d won I’d have been able to cover the Celtic game before they conceded a late equaliser.
There were plenty of people going against United so well done for making that call.
One half of my anytime scorers double came up, I was a Spurs goal short on the Top treble and not so close on the goals treble.
I’ll still be trying to break even from the month but it won’t be easy now.
There’s not too much on the go on Monday with Benfica v Braga the biggest game. Benfica beat Braga 3-0 in the Super Cup at the start of the season and both are on form. Stats don’t back up both to score but form does and it pays over evens for anyone interested. Benfica are withou Andre Almeida, Jardel, Raul Jimenez, Andreas Samaris and Rafa.
Both to score games that have been talked up one the site include Hacken v Gothenburg and Halmstad v Orgryte and Fredrikstad v Strommen.
Others matches to consider include Alaves v Deportivo in La Liga and it will be interesting to see if the promoted side can follow up with another win after beating Barcelona in the Nou Camp last week.
In Ireland there are a couple of games and there are others scattered across Europe. Having studied a few games I’m putting up a treble that doesn’t pay much but if it wins I’ll be quite happy.
I’m starting with title challengers at a Finn Harps side who have won seven in a row. Plenty of comments about Cork and Cork -1, -2 and to score 2, 3 goals etc.
For the treble I’m on a straight Cork win and adding Zenit at home to Rubin Kazan. Zenit are unbeaten in 15 and face a Rubin side with one win in six. Zenit have been scoring for fun and will be boosted by their amazing comeback in Maccabi in the Europa League when they hit back from 3-0 down to win 4-3.
Complete the treble with Alaves not to lose at home to Deportivo. Alaves beat Barcelona away last week after drawing at Atletico Madrid and should in here.
However, they don’t score many and it could be a tight game. Deportivo are without key men Joselu and Sidnei da Silva while Bruno Gama and Fernando Navarro are major doubts. I’m keeping draw on side and going with Alaves not to lose.
If a 13-8 Top Treble is not to your liking try the alternative one for 1pt – I’ll include both in my stats.
