BRITAIN play their first Davis Cup semi-final in 37 years today and Andy Murray is the man with most responsibility on his shoulders.
The Scot has pretty much carried the team this far with his contribution and once again will have to deliver in the showdown with Australia. Murray plays the first singles rubber against world No.71 Thanasi Kokkinakis and is huge odds on at 1-18 (Boylesports) to get his team off to a winning start.
It's the pair's first meeting and to get the job done in straight sets Murray is 4-7 at Betway while a 3-1 win for the British No.1 pays 4-1 at Marathonbet.
I'll be at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow cheering on Murray and Co although I don't hold out much hope of an upset when surprise pick Daniel Evans takes on Bernard Tomic in the day's second match.
The British No.8 has been given the nod ahead of James Ward and Kyle Edmund and is 47-10 underdog against the erratic Aussie, 1-5 at Coral, who lost his only previous meeting with Evans at the 2013 US Open.
The other semi-final sees Belgium battle Argentina and the singles today are David Goffin against Federico Delbonis and Steve Darcis taking on Leo Mayer.
The Rugby World Cup gets under way tonight with England's clash with Fiji at Twickenham and there's also the likes of snooker and NFL worth a punt so let's hear your sporting tips and chat and good luck with your bets.
There is no thread for US Sports at the moment so posting on here, hope people dont mind.:
Tonights NFL game:

Fiji +30 handicap v england looks generous at 10-11.
Indeed Watcher. Whos got that?
Another winning bet from Picksix well done mate and same goes to AD for his Tomljanovic pick, super stuff guys, nice to wake up to a few extra quid in the bankroll!
I’m on fiji+26 Evens £15.No doubt England will win but I got a sneaky feeling it will be around the 15-20mark they win by. Well let’s hope so.
Ladbrokes that was.26+Fiji Evens.Justincase anyone fancied it also.
I cant take any credit for it as i didn’t post it or even put any money on it but i liked the look of Anderson on an unders for rushing yards that came in on last nights game quite comfortably along with a comfortable over on Sproles for receiving/rushing yards and i had a couple of winners on the over/unders from last Sundays games so i’m going to have a look through this weeks games and see what looks good on the cards. Here’s to more winners in week 2.
That’s great Glue but this isn’t a thread for posting bets after they’ve won mate ;)
5 try Total Tournament difference between Coral & Bet365. I have taken over 280.5 with Coral. There is bound to be a few big scoring games. Also the total over England points tonight looks good value.
Craig. England over 4.5 tries tonight about 8/11.
Is there anyone on here that claims to specialise in rugby tips?
Im looking at to score a try anytime and prices such as 8/11 for the favourites to score a try look very generous.
Know nothing about rugby other than the fact the ball is egg shaped so any advice on this would be appreciated.
craigboy, check out welovebetting as I’m sure they’ll cover the tournament well.
I’m on their tip today as I’m not knowledgeable enough to pick my own – even though I once was a flying winger!
Welovebetting tip today
England v Fiji – Fiji +13 first-half handicap (1-1, Betfred)
Hope some people got on the early morning NFL Game:
Denver Broncos +3.5 *WON*
Denver Broncos to win ML (Money Line)*WON*
Not a Scooby doo craigyboy ..I’m in the same boat..I’ll watch with interest tho..
Just looked at H2H on flashscores and it seems Fiji have a good record against England??? Can someone shed light on this and what kind of teams were put out?
The h2h on flash scores were from the rugby sevens games, totally different game,England have played Fiji five times and won them all.I expect England to be far to strong especially the second half when they should run Fiji ragid, england’s structured game will be far too good for fiji and they will get beasted at the scrum.England on a second half handicap or the highest scoring half being the second should be the ways to go to make money
Definitely on Fiji to cover the handicap.
Also liking the tryscorer markets. Nadolo at 7/4 anytime can’t be ignored. Will also take Nayacalevu for the Fijians. For the Poms you can still get decent odds on May and Watson which seem like no-brainers for me. Will have a little punt on Ben Morgan too.
Just excited that the World Cup is finally here. Enjoy lads!
Tomljanovic gets it done in 3. 13/8….easy!
Federer vs huta galung u26.5gs pays evens.
Can’t see this being 6/3 6/3 6/3 based on feds form and the poor quality of opposition
England vs fiji

Let’s have a good day
Dazz and dazler
I am looking at two overs tonight
Seattle and Cincinnati
What do u guys think???
Rugby world cup
England v Fiji
Anytime try scorer
Nemani Nadolo
6ft 5″
20 stone
Fijian Winger
I’m not an expert taking a chance with this bet as I’d only read about this guy in todays paper
CraigyBoy,
I am by no means a specialist nor am I a tipster, but I have been following rugby for a large part of my life and used to play for Bath Youth for a period of time.
Obviously you have Jonny May and Watson on the wings, and with the pace the two have got, they are always worth a punt, however, they also have the shortest odds (8/13, 4/6). I would think that JJ at 5/6 seems a good bet given the form he has been in all season and his ability to spot holes in the line. If you are looking for something with greater returns, you can always look at the forwards, in particular, at Ben Morgan (7/5) and Billy Vunipola (7/4), both of whom get a lot of carries in a game. A lot would depend on team news, given Ford is starting, I would like to think that JJ to score anytime is more likely to come in than not given Ford’s ability to play an attacking brand of rugby. Also, Ben Morgan is starting at 8 as oppose to Billy, so if you are looking to the forwards, obviously pick Ben Morgan rather than Vuni.
Fiji wise, I think Goneva is the dangerman to look out for. He is up against Barritt and JJ in the centres, whilst Barritt is a rock in defense, I don’t think he can match Goneva’s pace nor can JJ match Goneva’s brute.
Like I said, I am by no means a tipster, just a fellow punter, so take it with a pinch of salt if you like, but hope this might help you out pal :)
A nice early tip for the NFL on Sunday. Arizona have come in to -1 on the handicap, probably because Ellington hasn’t practised the past couple of days. But even without him they are an all-round solid team with a stout defence and a solid offence under the immense coaching of Bruce Arians. The Bears have upgraded their head coach over the summer but they are in a bit of a mess. Jay Cutler never was that good in the first place and with a poor oline and Brandon Marshall in New York. They had their moments against Green Bay in the opening week but they were also messy throughout and look like a team that will finish in the lower third of the league. Arizona beat the Saints with something to spare and look like they can really challenge the Seahawks in the NFC West.
Arizona -1 10/11 with 365
Rivers, I like that post a lot! Took it early yesterday and had it at -1.5, as much as I like Jay Cutler, I just don’t think he can handle this secondary even with the lost of Antonio Cromatie and Todd Bowles in the offseason. I am slightly concern that Matt Forte might do a bit of damage, but if it turns into a shoot out, I will takes the birds over the bears any day of the week.
Afternoon gents. A few things to take note of from last nights game. 1. Don’t go against your best bet because of a high total (sacks). 2. Don’t back against Peyton Manning when playing Kansas. 3. Denver might have the toughest defense in the league.
What a game. Fell asleep at HT so just watched the rest. The grin on Mannings face when walking across the field at the end, priceless! ‘Don’t write me off face’.
On the other side of things it was a poor night of betting. Not sure if Hillman was injured but I don’t know if he had a carry in the 2nd half which was weird as he was their most productive back on the night. Thomas didn’t get in the end so had to settle with Charles 1st TD for a small loss on the night.
@craigyboy the H2H on flashscore is including Seven’s World Series matches.
England’s last 5 record v Fiji in “normal” games is;
Nov 2012 England 54-12 Fiji
Oct 1999 England 45-24 Fiji
Jul 1991 England 28-12 Fiji
Nov 1989 England 58-23 Fiji
Jun 1988 England 25-12 Fiji
I know that stretches a long way back but they don’t play each other much lol.
For this weeks NAP in the American Football I was torn between two bets
Firstly its Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars, where my selection for the match is Miami to score over 23.5 points with Ladbrokes & Boylesports at 10/11
The other bet I had shortlisted is in the game Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears and here I like Over 44.5 points at 5/6 Skybet
Sunday NFL Week 2 tips
Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears 6pm
OVER 44.5 points 5/6 NAP Skybet
Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars 9:05pm
MIAMI to score over 23.5 points 10/11 NB Ladbrokes Boylesports
Fancy Jonny May to score for England tonight … different player to last season now he has bulked up. Had a cracking game in the Friendly with Ireland. So have doubled him up with Ronaldo to score anytime for Real on Sunday at Evens
Darts – 8pm
Caven -1.5 legs 4/6
365
Orioles o8.5 hits @ 1.83 *lost*
Tonight’s mlb
Rangers o9.5 hits @ 2.0
Add
Giants o8.5 hits @ 1.9
Double 3.81
Ado Reds over 8.5 hits was my third choice today but leaving it out because they’ve only covered the line once in their last 5 trips to Miller Park.
I rarely back the Mariners to go over, if the line was 7.5 I’d think about it. They’ve only covered o8.5 once in their last 5 and only twice in their last 5 trips to Globe life park.
Ok

Let’s roll tonight
Impecable timing, poise in the pocket, and an laser of an arm. Three things that Johnny Manziel doesn’t have. Marcus Mariota had all eyes on him in week 1 when facing number 1 pick and 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston. Needless to say it was a tale of two sides. Mariotas second pass of the day was a 52 yard slant for a TD, while Winstons first pass was a 26 yard picksix. Mariota is only the third rookie ever to finish a game with a 158.3 quarterback rating in his debut, not a bad start for a QB who supposedly wasn’t ready for the NFL.
In week 2 Mariota will be facing another Heisman Trophy winner in Johnny Manziel (if McCown doesn’t pass the concussion protocol by Sunday). The lines opened up with Cleveland as a 3 point favourite but quickly went down to a pick em in hours and has hovered as Tennessee as the -1 favourites for a couple days. In week 1 the Browns made Ryan Fitzpaterick look like Joe Namath in a 31-10 win in New Jersey. Now, the Titans do not have a defense like the Jets, but they do have Dick Lebeau as their defensive head coach, which at aged 78 was a good pick up considering he has been a part of the NFL for the last 57 consecutive seasons (14 as a player, 43 as a coach). Not many who have that experience and are still going in the league.
Week 2 isn’t always necessarily a case the teams that sucked in week 1 will suck again the next week, but if you were offered to take Mariota or Manziel to win you a game, there’s not many who would pick Manziel. Mariota is a perfect fit for the NFL, maybe not physically, yet. But his mentality is second to none. If his career is set to be a long one in the NFL, bar a mental breakdown, I don’t think you will ever see a bad headline about him. Four TD’s in the first half on Sunday and barely even a fist pump to show for it. We can’t really take much on the Titans defense from week 1 as it was against a Mike Evans-less Tampa with a rookie QB, the Browns will no doubt be better at home, but its where their points are going to come from is where I’m asking questions. Free agent pick up Dwayne Bowe is questionable with a hamstring injury and his been limited in practice all week, and without a legitimate franchise QB (Manziel will never be at that stage) I wouldn’t fancy their chances to put up too many points. They also lost two Linebackers in week 1. Karlos Dansby didn’t practice yesterday with a foot injury and had 7 tackles on Sunday, with Scott Soloman suffering a high ankle sprain and is set to miss a few weeks. Titans Tight End Delanie Walker is questionable while dealing with sprained ligaments in his right wrist nd did not practice yesterday. That wouldn’t help my matters if he doesn’t start as he was the Titans most productive receiver last season and caught all 3 targets for 43 yards and a TD against Tampa in week 1.
Posted this earlier in the week and they are now best @ 10/11 @ Stan James
Tennessee Titans ML @ EVS @ 888 – 5 points
I am still sick over the bet that I cashed last night
Over 52 points at 3.75:1
I had 500 on it
Cashed the bet out every one was on the under
We move on
But I can’t complain
Thanks to mr f, Jordan , dazz, dazid, hampy, Craig
I am up almost 20 k this month
I see this Texas team a little too proud of them selfs
Might lay off tonight
Just my two cents
@picksix what do you reckon about serbia tonight in the b’ball?
Ado, remember those last 7 points were scored on a fumble recovery for a TD in the last 30 seconds. Game may have been won by a field goal and it could have lost mate.
NFL
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Cheifs
* Jeremy Maclin under 60.5 yards @ 10/11 (Double Stake) **WON**
This is crazy high for a team whos offence is based around the ground game. I tipped Steve Smith to go under 70 yards on Sunday and he only made 12 yards the reason being he was shut down by Aqil Talib who is the CB that Maclin will be coming up against this Game. Maclin is also shrugging of a back injury wich he picked up Sunday and with only 3 days rest his condition is going to be questionable as he has been on the injury report all week. I can’t see Alex smith targeting Maclin who’s not 100% against A quality corner it would be silly from and intelligent veteran.
A LOT closer than expected but a wins a win
Gutted, I took under 55.5 on Paddy because I was late to it haha
Luckily I had Broncos +3 to make up for it!
Agreed my friend
Juan cheers buddy
Mlac im having a look into the game now mate for injuries and so forth but HT -FT for the Serbs is what I would take at first glance they’ve been the best team in the tournament and should control the game against that shaky Lithuania team
Yep 51
My over 52 would have lost
Jordan going to watch the second half now noded off some time in the 3rd , was some finish by the sound of it. Did u end up betting the sack totals? 4 in the first quater i can’t believe I didn’t bet it
Afternoon Guys St Helens v Wigan Warriors
The biggest derby in rugby takes place at Langtree Park tonight as Wigan make the short trip to face the champions knowing a win will take the top of the table with one game to go. The bookies have this a pick em game, although today they have made Saints odds on favourites at 10/11, and minus 2 on the handicap.
Alex Walmsley misses out for Saints, but Vea is back and will replace him. For Wigan they have captain Sean O’Loughlin and Matty Bowen back, but will be without Liam Farrell and Dan Sarginson.
Saints have won 4 out the last 5 league meetings against the enemy. Wigan away form during the regular season was poor but they are hitting form at the right time winning 2 of their last 3 away from the fortress DW Stadium. Saints have won their last two in the Super 8s and they know if they win their last two games they will book a home semi final.
Wigan were poor last week but they faced a side with nothing to lose and don’t forget the Warriors were without several key players to. Saint may have won their last two games but prior to that they were poor, they lost at home to both Hull and Huddersfield. They played Leeds at the perfect time having had 2 weeks to prepare with Leeds playing in the Challenge cup final. In last week game they raced into an 18-0 lead against Cas inside ten minutes, yet Cas lead after 50mins 24-18.
I fancy Wigan tonight. Leeds lost last night and have literally left the front door wide open, and I think Wigan will walk through it, claim top spot and with it have the league leaders shield in their control.
In a game were I fancy Wigan straight up at 11/10 Ladbrokes, I am taking the insurance of a 2pt start at 10/11 again at Ladbrokes, but most firms have these odds. I would advise taking the 2pts unless you fancy the Warriors.
I fancy a tight affair, the opening 20mins will be superb, it as a playoff type of feel to it. I wasn’t going to do a try scorer bet as the Wingers I like are odds on but Coral who sponsor the Warriors are doing a special on Josh Charnley to score at 7/4 that will do me.
WIGAN TO BEAT SAINTS 11/10
WIGAN +2 BEAT SAINTS 10/11
CHARNLEY TO SCORE 7/4
Good luck if your having a bet
WIGAN TO BEAT SAINTS 11/10

Post is stuck in moderation, so just posting my bets on the game, driving home now.
Tyler I didn’t bud. Slightly annoyed as we both highlighted it on the weekend and I even predicted the total it would be and still didn’t take it :)
Any college games worth watching tonight Tyler? BigB?
I’m going to Tomljanovic once again in search for profit.
6/4 d Wickmayer – Tomljanovic is the better player so it just comes down to consistency. Both are erratic so it’s a no brainier pick at this price for me
Cards @ Cubs
Fun bet small stake
Over 2 hits in the first inning @ 2.75
This one starts in around 20 minutes so I’m gonna give it a watch.
The chief. Do u think it will be a high scoring game? Cheers mate
Any handicap over +15 for Fiji is well worth being on and I will be on +12 too. This is a good Fiji side and we all know how favourites and hosts can play in opening games in tournaments.
Fiji +24 11/10 5 points
+18 7/4 2 points
+12 7/2 1 point
Gl
J, I cant personally mate, Wigan got blown away here in second half earlier in the season, but I think it will be tight cagey affair, unless one team runs away with it. Can see a winning margin of 1-12.
It’s set at over 7.5 tries. Do u think that is to high? Cheers mate

It is probably about right mate, 5 tries to 3. I am not on it. I fancy the result something around 26-18. I’m happy with the 3 bets I posted, I’ve just tried to post my write up again but hit moderation again.
Cheers mate

Hi guys
I have a first try scorer on England game what happens after that penalty try ?? Cheers
I called this wrong so far. Fiji look all over the place. And giving away penalties and trys
Yeh poor start from Fiji but my bet for Nadolo to score just came in and don’t write them off just yet.
Sorry Jordan can’t get on football thread. Have I got any tips for tonight or is it just Saturday.
Jordan, there isn’t much going on tonight, college football wise. Not that I know of anyways. There is the Florida State game on against Boston College but from what I know, I doubt it is something that is worth watching. There aren’t that many top tier talent on show in that game besides that Ramsey kid playing CB for Florida State.
Johnny Manziel will start for the Browns on Sunday.
Cheers BigB.
