I have been waiting for the handicap to go Lithuanias way for the points total to drop as it opened up -6 Italy wich is a big difference considering they are fairly equal teams. This is crazy high for a team whos offence is based around the ground game. I tipped Steve Smith to go under 70 yards on Sunday and he only made 12 yards the reason being he was shut down by Aqil Talib who is the CB that Maclin will be coming up against this Game. Maclin is also shrugging of a back injury wich he picked up Sunday and with only 3 days rest his condition is going to be questionable as he has been on the injury report all week. I can’t see Alex smith targeting Maclin who’s not 100% against A quality corner it would be silly from and intelligent veteran.

Tyler, I’m changing my thought process towards this one. Not going to go on anything big. But I’ve had a look at stats and h2h and Peyton is a beast against Kansas. Obviously its going to be tough, but I’m not overly sold on Kansas’ win in week 1. Texans probably in line for the team with the worst QB‘s on the roster, and even then DeAndre Hopkins caught two TD’s for 98 yards. Thomas had a hand injury but participated in full practice and has had a TD in both games last year against the Chiefs.
Kansas racked up 5 sacks on Sunday so I think we’ll see a bit more of a run game and screen passes to stop the Chiefs pass rush. Last thing Denver want is Peyton injured and there’s talk that it’ll be him making the play calls with their poor offense on Sunday. CJ Anderson is listed as questionable with a toe injury and supposedly Ronnie Hillman will be in the starting role. I’m going to be on his rush total which is a low 39.5 @ BV. Texans ran for a combined 97 yards on Sunday.
Like you say they have a stout defense themselves, won them the game against the Ravens and I think that could be the difference if Manning gets going on offense.

The Broncos have the best defence in the AFC and are probably top 3 in the NFL I feel , miller and ware are good at chasing down the runners too so charles is in for a tough night. I want to back the Broncos but after seeing Peyton against the Ravens I just can’t do it. I think we will see some improvement on the Broncos offence but the defences of either team should decide this . 23 – 13 to the Broncos my prediction.

As the boys have mentioned, its Chiefs Broncos today, and I am sticking my neck out to say Chief -3.
Jordan made a good point about being too early to be giving Broncos 3 points. But in my opinion, its exactly because its early which is why Broncos are given a 3 point handicap. New coordinator, new offense, with a lot of bootleg and throwing on the run, a short week to practice. Because it is early, Broncos have not really had the chance to get used to this offense, in particular, Peyton, who dare I say looked pretty standard last week, especially in bootleg and roll-out passes. You add in the fact that Chiefs D is not something to be messed about with, the front 4 I can see doing a good job of run contain, taking away the Broncos run game, forcing Peyton to beat them in the air, in the secondary, you can’t underestimate how much Eric Berry brings to this secondary. The boy was drafted before Earl Thomas who is undoubtedly the best safety in the game, but Eric Berry is not too far behind in my opinion.
Broncos D bailed them out against the Ravens, but Chiefs represent a different challenge to the Ravens. First thing first, they have an established run game with a rusher averaging 5 yards per carry (if i remember rightly, might be wrong) and also doing QB option with Alex Smith. I feel Alex Smith is an underrated QB athletically speaking. Him and Jamaal Charles post run threats to keep Von Miller and Demarcus Ware on the edge for run contain, then they can hurt you with quick fst receivers running posts or Tight ends running hitches and comebacks.
Chiefs -3 for me at home where Peyton and his Offence will struggle to hear each other.

Think I’ll sit back and enjoy the game tonight, though I like the Maclin u60 yards bet. The Chiefs are don’t get the ball to their WR’s often enough and the Broncos have near shut down corners. Giving the Broncos 3 points is a lot but after last week it’s entirely plausible that they lose. Make no mistake, this team is now depending on its D, as do their opponents tonight.
My bet for the night would be Kelce 0ver 62.5 yards, but like I say I’m just gonna enjoy watching these two beat the hell out of each other and hope Manning’s deterioration continues.

To be honest Ado I don’t dabble in over/unders much in the NFL but if I were to tonight it would be Under. The Broncos shut down the Ravens to just 6 points and a pick six on Sunday. Neither team made a snap in the red zone until the 4th quarter. The crowd will be loud tonight at the Arrowhead as it usually is (probably the best atmosphere when watching) which might cause problems for ‘Mr Omahas’ cadence, which is the reason I’ve taken the Hillman rushing yards as my main bet. I just can’t look past Peytons record against the Chiefs. Eric Berry back is a boost for the Chiefs but the fact still remains that Houston aren’t entirely that good and were still able to make plays with Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallet. If rumors are true its Peyton calling the shots tonight and I think the Thomas Wincast offers value for a point, but as long as Hillman can get 40 yards on the ground I’ll be in profit. Just can’t wait to hear the Tomahawk Chop :)

At the start of the season I tried to get odds for the giants not to make the post season but couldn’t. Think that would have been a pretty decent bet.
I know it’s early but I think I might invest some of this year’s winnings on Cards to win their division again next year(when it’s priced up). They were about 2.5 this year and unless the other teams make major changes, I can’t see another winner.

Evening Guys Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers
Thursday nights action comes from Headingly as the Rhinos look to halt a two game losing streak since winning the Challenge cup. The Tigers cant make the playoffs but have already won at Headingly this season 31-24 and drew 24-24 here last season. Leeds are the 1/6 favourites but it maybe closer than the odds suggest.
Leeds will have star centre Kallum Watkins back but Rob Burrow still isn’t fit enough to start. Jimmy Keinhorst is also out. Castleford continue to be without Justin Carney, Solomona will continue to deputise. Matt Cook returns after suspension.
Castleford have nothing to play for as they cant reach the playoffs, however this is a West Yorkshire Derby and it should be very competitive. The Rhinos will be looking to win the league leaders shield and bounce back from a shocking performance in France last week. I said I fancied Catalan in that game but I didn’t expect them to be hammered and be as poor as they were.
I fancy tries in this one, and for Leeds I like the look of the returning Centre Kallum Watkins, for me he is the best centre in the game. He has 15 tries in 24 and before his injury had scored in 4 consecutive games. He is 1/1 Skybet.
I also like Zak Hardaker to score. Leeds for the first time since Wembley have their backline fully fit and Hardaker loves to join in the play. He as been the best full back in the league for me. He to is 1/1 Skybet.
In the try scorer market for Cas there is value to be had. I am going for Ben Roberts who as scored 4 in his last 4. The Tigers have nothing to lose and with no pressure off I think we will see them throwing the ball around. As I mentioned the Tigers have scored at least 20pts in their last 3 games, so I am expecting them to score some tries tonight, and Roberts for me at 5/2 various.
I like Leeds to win and both teams to score 20pts. The Tigers have conceded 40pts in each of their last 3 games but scored over 20pts in all 3 of them. Looking at the Peyton passing yards at 266.5 and leaning towards the under. Rumour has it Peyton is has a niggling back injury which would affect his ability to throw the ball. Take the rumour away, Arrowhead is a windy stadium, Peyton was never known for having a big arm, rather his intelligence and anticipation. He was something like 2-8 in his intermediate – deep throws against the Ravens. If the Chiefs play cover 1 and put another safety into pass coverage hoovering the middle of the field along with some linebackers, that would make the passing game really difficult for Peyton, regardless of who his receivers are.

Jordan betfred do that a lot with football and Nfl but they chip away at the odds so you lose value on first td, don’t have a clue what stats are but how many guys score first then score a second can’t imagine it’s a lot it’s same as football. The discussions over past couple of days on this game seem to have covered everything and I agree with some, and disagree with some. I can see a defensive battle but last years Thursday’s games there was plenty were blow outs, given the short turn around and travelling involved. This isn’t like going to Liverpool from London.
Two props for me, O2.5 field goals to be kicked. Last week McManus kicked four out of four over 30yds, including a 43yd, 56yds and a 57yds. Santos kicked two out of three, a 27yd and a 48yd in the second quarter. A short turnaround could see points scored but given the leg these guys have anywhere their offence can get within 40yds, I can see the field goal units on. O2.5fg is 8/13 Bet365.
I posted my thoughts on Jaamal Charles last week and while, the Broncos defence held the Ravens in check last week at home, this is a different proposition they face in Charles at Arrowhead. They can fill the box, he will burn them out wide. I think Charles out the backfield on catching plays could be a factor here and his line is 32.5yds 1/1 at Betvictor.
My anytime scorer is “Baby Gronk”. The Gronk is the best TE in the NFL no argument, Travis Kelce is now being labelled as the next Gronk, and while I like him he as a lot to prove, however at 6″6 he is a miss match in the redzone and If the Chiefs gets down their, I like his chances of pulling one in.
