    Timeform comments:

Don’t Tell Her (5 out of 5 stars), 6f 209y: Strong claims on penultimate Deauville claimer third with De Sousa up and first-time tongue tie now.
Race commentary: DON’T TELL HER has strong claims on her penultimate effort when a close third in a Deauville claimer, and has De Sousa up and a tongue tie fitted now. Neither Matilda’s Law nor Burmese Whisper convinced with their antics on their latest runs but still appeal as the most likely dangers.

Hakka (5 out of 5 stars), 1m 141y: Promising sort. Career best when winning a 9-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (8f, 5/2) 41 days ago, getting first run. 6 lb rise fair and probably capable of better still.
Race commentary: There should be more to come from the well-bred HAKKA, who saw off a promising rival at Chelmsford last month, and a 6 lb rise is unlikely to be enough to prevent him from following up. Heisman acquitted himself well in a decent heat at Ascot and could be the one for the forecast. If Inexorable Tide is over whatever caused him to misfire last time he could also emerge as a live danger.

Disappointing yesterday, my banker and nb both became not runners and my nap went off at half the price I got but never got competitive.

I see many of you found nice winners yesterday, Nicola, Ripe Tomato, Lamaz, Snurkz, and Barnsleylad to name a few that come to mind this morning. Well Done.

Hey John B … LET’S GO PHINS!! :) Thanx for that one.

The sad news about Brown Panther is hard to take, I watched him win at Meydan recently, gutsy horse.

Onto today. I like John Bs nap, was supposed to run at the Ebor meeting at York so this should be easy peasy.

    My offerings ….

    3:00 Brighton – Duc de Saville (BANKER) @ 3/1
    3:40 Wolverhampton – Azerelle (NAP) @ 9/2
    4:30 Brighton – Bazooka (NB) @ 7/2
5:40 Wolverhampton – For Shia and Lulu (each way) @ 12/1

  28. Steve 1 year ago

Today’s meeting at Listowel has been called off due to a waterlogged track.
The track raced on Sunday after passing an inspection but following another check this morning, the course is now unraceable, with officials keeping a close eye on conditions as racing is scheduled every day until Saturday.
Horse Racing Ireland tweeted: “Listowel cancelled today, track currently waterlogged. The situation is being monitored with regard to Tuesday’s fixture.”

For me on the half a dozen runs that Log Out Island has had he looks very exposed. When you look at the head of the market both Air Force Blue and Emotionless who won at the weekend could not have done it any better. Shalaa still has the best form so far and I think Shogun will catapult himself near the head of the market next week. Add to that Ladbrokes are ducking Recorder.

I think 66/1 looks about right, All I need now is a bookmaker offering six places.

2.00 BRI – DON’T TELL HER 9/4 – picked this out this morn and only now seen John picked as well so very confident pick. Has loads going for it here and jockey a strong booking.

3.30 BRI – MEGALALA 10/1 E/W – The old boy so always a big price but on form must have a good chance of at least a place as multiple CD winner here and expect to make all.

4.00 BRI – BLOODSWEATANDTEARS 5/1 – CD winner who’s best runs comes with G Baker on board.

2.20 STRAT – TANGOLAN 4/1 – One reason for pick here: F O’Brien & P Brennan is a lethal combo together and will blindly back there runners.

    Chepstow
    3.40 – Peak Storm 4/1 NAP
7/8 wins have come at Chepstow and Luke Morris knows how to get the best out of him.

    4.40 – Medburn Cutler 5/1
Backed at Ffos Las where he failed to complete the hat trick. One more try before I lose him on the tracker.

    Yarmouth
    4.20 – Hallelujah 7/1 NB
These odds won’t last long. Easier class with winning form in stronger races. 7 months absence shouldnt be an issue.

    4.50 – Desert Command 6/1
Good – Firm form, last race forgiven as on heavy. Andrea Atzini pilot. 3/5 wins since Simple verse won and then lost me a few quid. He’s still pissed. So I’ll back him.

    Carlisle
    6.45 – Shootingsta 8/1
1st and 2nds all made on good to firm. Two of which had Mulrennan on board. This is easier again. Should place at least. Ew

    Catterick
    4.30 – Layla’s Hero 11/1
Bit of a long shot as terrible draw for Catterick. Will like the ground and distance suited.

    Timeform comments:

Sealife (5 out of 5 stars), 1m 3f 104y: Won 2 of first 3 starts and further improvement when runner-up in useful contest at Beverley (10f) last time. Slightly longer trip here should be in favour and highly likely there’s more to come.
Race commentary: SEALIFE has already reached a very useful level after just 4 starts and there’s almost certainly more to come with the longer trip expected to be right up her street. Winter Serenade was also going the right way when last seen in midsummer and could be the one to give William Haggas’ filly most to think about.

Belvoir Diva (4 out of 5 stars), 5f 42y: Has more improving to do if she’s going to win a handicap but is unexposed and shaped encouragingly after 4 months off at Haydock, leaving the impression she’s capable of even better.
Race commentary: EMJAYEM ran a cracker at Windsor after 4 months off and should go close with Hanagan now taking over in the saddle. Belvoir Diva remains with potential, while the other 3-y-o, Major Pusey, continues in form and should give his running again.

Circuitous (3 out of 5 stars), 5f 212y: Twelve runs since last win back in 2013. 20/1, bit below form fourth of 9 in a handicap at Musselburgh (7.2f, good) 20 days ago. However, eased slightly in class now and he’s slipped to a handy mark.
Race commentary: MUNJALLY left the distinct impression that he’s ready to strike again when a close third at Hamilton last time. He is marginally preferred to recent AW scorer Logans Lad and Cloak And Degas, who will surely pick up a race before long. The handicapper continues to show Circuitous mercy and he isn’t entirely dismissed either.

Had a small profit in yesterday’s lucky 15. Not too much on for today, maybe just a sneaky double:

Executor at 3.75 in the 14:35 at Newmarket
Mustadrik at 8.50 in the 14:45 at Perth

£1 wins £30. Those are current prices at SkyBet.

Here’s the direct link to that bet in the calculator:
