I'M back in profit after posting four winners on the top tips on Saturday.
My Super Single landed in the shape of Queen of the South and Queens were on three aways alongside Dundee United and Forfar that paid 9-1. Luck always plays a part in betting and I owe a huge debt to United keeper Cammy Bell who saved THREE penalties from three different players.
Both of my both teams to score trebles won at 6-1 and 4-1 and I said it would be a good day for goals.
Desmond's goals tips were top notch and he was one Hibs goal short of a 53-1 full house but he landed two trebles.
Greg Browning's big double came up and Scott Allot also had Lady Luck to thank for his 11-2 both to score treble. Lille and Mattersburg netted in the 90th minute and Sevilla scored their first in 89 before hitting a 90th-minute clincher against Las Palmas.
My Bet of the Day for members only and Challenge Bet also won so it was a decent day all round. And if you follow me in the Daily Record you'll be celebrating a 30-1 aways winner – with Newcastle added to my site treble.
The singles -after being ravaged by the US Open tennis – and accumulators are back in the black for the month and hopefully I'll stay there.
Sunday's another busy day but with only two games in England – Swansea v Chelsea and Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest. I wonder how much Forest will miss Oliver Burke who I see came on for Red Bull Leipzig and set up their winner against Borussia Dortmund.
On the continent what's going to happen after Barcelona's shock defeat at home to Alaves that may give Celtic some hope for Tuesday's trip to the Nou Camp. What a contrasting day Saturday was for the respective teams.
In Italy Joe Hart's Torino look a decent bet at Atalanta and I've decided to take them as the Super Single. Atalanta have lost their two openers while Torino have shown their ambition by signing Hart and I saw a renowned Serie A tipster predicting a top-four finish.
Torino beat Bologna 5-1 last week and have won three of their last four in Bergamo but do have some injuries up front so this is a 1pt gamble and nothing more.

Torino were unlucky not to take a point away from home at AC Milan in their first game and more than made up for it in the next thumping Bologne 5-1. Atlanta on the other hand have lost both their opening games, despite battling well. Torino will have Joe Hart in goal and although away from home should get the win.

Another I’ve been looking at closely is the goal markets in the Swansea vs Chelsea game. Both team have scored and conceded the majority of their goals so far in the second half and I have snatched up the 21/20 offered by bet365 for the second half to be the most scoring and also EVS for +1.5 goals in the second half.

Alright gents. West Brom let me down big today despite some decent chances. I would usually have something ready for today but the fact is, I don’t. Falque has goals in him and will look to make the most of the chance afforded to him by injuries. Joe Hart will be keen to keep a clean sheet and I fancy Torino to notch a goal. They still have Benassi available and also Valdifiori to run the midfield and I am confident in them being good enough even with the injuries.
My advice is If you don’t fancy the tip, then don’t bet on it. I suspect there will be plenty of other tips available throughout the day that may take your fancy.

It was a decent day for me and my followers although I had to cover my NAP Wolves after they scored so late (I would always advise a cover as any profit is better than no profit) I covered West Ham when they went 2-0 up something I always do when I had landed a big profit on them to score O1.5tg at evens. My tip on the Super Sunday game is quite simply Chelsea W/O1.5g at evens Betstars. I cant see anything other than an away win, and Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in every game this season this tip looks good.
I fear for Swansea this season they are in for a dog fight at the bottom of the table. Swansea home games have seen U2.5mg in 8 of their last 9 and they beat Chelsea 1-0 last season. I like stats but whenever a new coach arrives those stats can go out the window. This Chelsea team under Conte looks good and Costa has scored 5 goals against the Swans since he arrived in England. I can’t justify a Torino win against a side who hasn’t failed to score since March, home or away.
Joe Hart will be eager to keep a clean sheet, yes but I think it won’t be enough to keep Atalanta out and expect goals and a lot of drama.
On top of this, Torino have only kept 2 away clean sheets in their past 15 away games.

Max, totally agree about covering when you can and it’s certainly the right thing to do! You can’t post though saying it was a decent day when 4 of your 5 selections lost yesterday! You Run the risk of rubbing people up the wrong way! Not everyone would have been in a position to cover! Not having a go mate, Just calling out most people will look at the results and put it down to just a bad day of the office ( appreciate it wasn’t )
Covering is often advised on here but if you say you’ve covered a tip you posted you need to advise people to cover and not tell them about it when it’s too late.
I made this mistake yesterday when I advised Liverpool 3-1 at 12/1 and covered with 4-1 and 3-2 after 85 mins but didn’t have my phone on me to update the cover advise on here. Generally if people have the money in their account and have a bit of experience then they should know to cover. However, for more inexperienced people who like a bet it may be worth someone far more experienced than me putting some advice together in regards to when to cover, when not to cover, how much / how little ect.
I’ve been advising how to do cover bets for years on the site.
It’s a quite a personal thing because of your original bet wins you might feel like a loser.
Also when to cover, how much, etc is different for every bet. My advise in general is cover the stake but others would try to equal the amount they can win and lose.
Sorry I’m still quite new to the site and due to work commitments I dive in and out, therefore I may have missed the cover advice.
In my mind it’s always been right to cover the stake as at least you still won’t lose and it eats less into the profit if it does win.

Gutted to see my beloved Derby fold on a double chance. There were a few bright sparks and an offside 1st minute goal for the Rams could of set this game off for a real thriller. We hit the bar too, but with 2 key players moved on and 3 new signings – all attack minded gave us the same old problems at the back. A place where if anywhere on the pitch, you need your best players. If you don’t concede a goal, you get a point. if you also get a goal, you get 3 points. Miserable start for the rams and with another tough game against an Ipswich side looming and 7 games over the next 22 days for most in the championship – starting last Saturday, a very hectic period. Ipswich have had a mediocre start and I think sides will capitalise against a Derby side that just hasn’t gelled. Maybe too many players is giving the gaffer too much time to try to tinker. The 3 new signings added an attacking threat, we did get amongst their back 4 but the end product was well below par.
We have Liverpool in 10 days or so ( a game I shall be writing off completely – but perhaps the boss can work his magic and at least try to compete against a half strength Liverpool side who must be eyeing up some chance of a very dusty silverware cabinet. Its not as bad as ours, it looks more like Mike Bassett’s tenure at Wirral County’s trophy room. Where they won a trophy cabinet !!! Fair plays to Newcastle, they deserved the win especially considering the last 2 seasons we played against them, we took 4 points off them in 2 consecutive seasons. It sunk my 4/9 double result but I did spot an absolute corker in the La Vuelata. Froome vs Quintana to win outright.
Froome left himself nearly 4 mins to claw back on the individual timetrial on Friday, and he made his presence felt by taking 2 mins 14 seconds out of the Columbians lead. Leaving 1 min 21 secs to gain on the last competitive race of the tour. ( the last day is always just a parade with minimal sprints available for the points competition but the general classification riders is now over.
Froome did try several attacks on the mountain stages but Quintano stayed on his wheel and covered every attack, with the Colombian beating FROOME at the line for an extra 2 secs and the moral victory.
HOWEVER, my gem of the day was spotting froome and quintano both on 10/3 with bet 365 to win outright. 3rd place was in jeapordy from 4th but it was always going to be a Froome or quintano win.
I advised a very safe £10 bet on both riders for a conbined stake of £20. Quintano first, Froome 2nd. delivered a profit of £23.33, the same as if Froome took the title. I hope one or two of you managed to grab a slice of the pie before the book closed, I did post very close to the start of the race.
