SCOTLAND: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

THERE are a couple of SPL matches that catch the eye on Saturday – but the one I’ve picked out is Kilmarnock v St Johnstone.

The fixture has seen both score in the last six meetings and both sides look capable of hitting the net. Five of Saints’ last six have seen both hit the target while Killie have banged in eight in their last four.

Cillian Sheridan bagged a double in the 3-3 draw at Dundee Utd on Friday and will be keen to net against one of his former clubs. Backers of anytime scorers take note.

Followers of trends should note, by the way, that Motherwell entertain Hearts in a match where only one team has scored in the past eight clashes. This is the early game and anyway I’m not taking them any more.

As in the SPL several First Division games are contenders but I’ve plumped for Airdrie v Raith Rovers. They have already played twice this month in the Scottish Cup and it finished 2-2 at New Broomfield and 4-3 to Rovers in the replay after extra time.

Airdrie’s last five have seen both net including a 4-3 win and 4-3 defeat and the game before that they went down 7-0 to Partick Thistle. Both teams have scored in five of Raith’s last six with that 4-3 as well as a 4-4 draw so hopefully there will be more of the same.

Forfar were one of my picks in midweek and I commented they are conceding against everyone. They duly let in five at home to leaders Queen of the South and have now shipped 22 in seven outings.

However, they have scored in six of those games so their Angus derby at near neighbours Brechin could be a high scorer. There have been 11 in the last three meetings and Second Division Brechin have netted 20 in five games, although eight of those were in two Scottish Cup ties against junior outfit Bonnyrigg.

Four of five Second Division matches came up last weekend and I’m banking on a second this Saturday and it’s Stenhousemuir v Alloa.

It’s another game between close rivals and Stenny’s games have been action-packed with 29 goals in the last six. Alloa’s only blank in their last six came in a 7-0 Scottish Cup defeat at Rangers.

Finally, I’m on East Stirling v Berwick … a Sunday offering. I don’t particularly like doing this but the game smacks of goals and if the first four come up it will be worth waiting for.

Five of Shire’s last six have seen both score and of course they were beaten 6-2 at home to Rangers last week. Their last six have produced 30 goals so stats that say only one team has netted in the last nine meetings can be brushed aside.

Berwick’s last six have seen both sides on target with a total of 22 goals so hopefully this will come up. Sunday’s other Third Division game between Elgin and Rangers – second v first – should also see both scoring but I didn’t want to put two games in a day late.

Anyone who doesn’t like putting in the Sunday can substitute with East Fife v Arbroath or add as an extra as the fivefold pays just 8-1 which is less than usual – and isn’t even worth the perm.

Both teams to score

Kilmarnock v St Johnstone

Airdrie v Raith

Brechin v Forfar

Stenhousemuir v Alloa

East Stirling v Berwick (Sun)

Tried to stick £50 straight acc on again but Stan James restricted my stake AGAIN to £39. Just seems to be random amounts. I put my other £11 on 4 draws. Hopefully I get lucky one day with my draws. My selection for draws are:

    Aston Villa
    Hull
    Leyton Orient
    Morecambe

Totally random again but my 4 draws returns £1570 for a £11 stake.

I like draw bets and got four up in midweek. It can certainly be done. I think they are more predictable than predicting who will win.

Mystic Clegg, the prices will tell you draws are tougher to pick but I think I’ll put four on the site this weekend.

Steve, I rarely have time to look at Friday games, especially after a busy midweek, so can’t say too much about St Etienne game. The one thing I know is that both score goals, they are two of the top scorers in the league, so both to score would be my bet if you can get close to evens. Possibly looka t over 2.5 and over 3.5 goals as well.

I like the look of st etienne tonight although not a great price considering theyre playing a team one place below.

My supersingle bet is goin to be Livorno in Serie B at 6/4 away to Novarra. Livorno have great away form and sit 3rd in the table. Novarra are struggling in 21st!!

Dont fancy taking either team to win in French league. Do like the look of BTTS or over 2.5 though and have taken the Betway free £50 bet on over 2.5 at 1.85. BTTS have came up in all of Valenciennes last 9 matches with 8 of the 9 being over 2.5 goals.

Draws are hard to get , as you can see you only get 1 or 2 in each lg on a saterday , thay are a lot harder than the btts bets and they are impossible to pridict . But that’s why they are such big prises for a treble .

The bookies are well onto this market Paul- have been for a while , hence the crap odds. Gonna throw your English and Scottish all together as usual.
And the all Scott’s 1,2,3- it’s gonna happen one day.

Tony C, hope it does but there will be no end to price cuts here because punters are doing well. My Record Line of the Week is a guy who bet £2 on 15 to win over £6k and unlucky is a guy who lost £40k on a £10 stake with 28 out of 30 teams scoring.
