WHEN possible I'll put up a Saturday Super Single shortlist. It allows some early discussion on the weekend football and we'll also see negatives and positives put against some of my suggested teams.

All these picks are evens or above and taken from my first look at the fixtures without checking team news. With days to go until I make my final decision it might be a different team or bet that is chosen.

I can guarantee one thing though – I won't be picking Dunfermline for the third week running. It's not I don't think they'll beat Cowdenbeath it's just the price is too short now.

I did of course advise them when 4-5 and 17-20 was available earlier in the week but for the Super Single it would have to be Dunfermline -1 or something like that.

Southampton are the only Premier League side featured although I quite like Swansea at home to Newcastle after the way they impressed against Chelsea.

None of the big guns – Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd or Liverpool are in action on Saturday.

So here is Saturday's short list and please let me know if you have fears about any team or particularly like a pick.

I've also added some of the sides who are likely to be feature in the Top Treble.

Super Single shortlist

SOUTHAMPTON v Everton

WATFORD v West Brom

BRISTOL CITY v Brentford

QPR v Cardiff

Blackpool v ROCHDALE

Motherwell v ABERDEEN

Livingston v QoS

DUNFERMLINE -1 v Cowdenbeath

East Fife v BERWICK

ANNAN v Stirling

Top Treble contenders

MIDDLESBROUGH v Bolton

SCUNTHORPE v Crewe

HIBS v Morton

DUNFERMLINE v Cowdenbeath

FORFAR v Albion Rovers

CLYDE v Queen's Park

All teams should play on A Saturday afternoon like in the good old days. Apart from anything else its fairer!

Lord Clegg, that would be great but they’d have no players with no Sky money.

l can see some goals from Soton n Watford games

l will take a gamble on Overs 3.5 goals on the Watford game but l think we can see BTS even before HT in both games

Not 100 percent convinced on hibs after last weeks game and the scott alan saga, morton are too big at 7/1.

Placed a treble on Tuesday for this weekend of Middlesbrough, Aberdeen, Dunfermline. Odds were just under 9/2

Also done a midweek treble of both to score in the Dundee Derby, Ipswich & hearts to win which landed at 4/1. Done all six in a 0.5 pt accumulator aswell so it’ll be a good week if the above treble comes in

Pretty soon the bookies are going to realise just how abysmal Wigan are and then they will stop pricing their opponents up at the prices they do.
    DONCASTER DNB 29/20

I’ve been a rochdale fan since I was 2 years old, 30 years now and I’ve seen alot of heartache over these years, but what Keith hill is doing with that squad of players year after year is nothing short of amazing!
If we had any budget what so ever to spend I have no doubt we would be among the favourites for league one.
Unfortunately we don’t, and every dale fan knows survival year on year is the 1st objective.

Ipswich v Wednesday BTTS and over 2.5 goals

    8/5

We don’t have a great record down there, but BTTS has come up in the last 5 meetings… unfortunately that’s a shade under evens at 10/11, but I’ll be all over it on Saturday. It’ll be interesting to see how we get on against a decent side away from home after two straightforward wins at Hillsborough. Ipswich were strong at home last season but we have the players now to score at least once.

I think my bet of the weekend is City Chelsea draw & under 2.5 – 100/30. Can see this being a 0-0 or 1-1, with Jose bringing Zouma into the midfield to try and nullify Yaya.

Chelsea’s defence was shocking against Swansea and now the keeper is out 11/10 Man City looks good to me GL.
