TINTERN THEATRE is a horse I was always going to follow this season after the start he had to his chasing career.
He was fourth last time at 20-1 when I advised him, which was a decent run only beaten a length when doing his best work late on. Second that day has gone on to be second again in a far better race when beaten a neck by Benbens at Sandown last week.
Tintern Theatre can improve again and win at decent odds today (Cheltenham 12:45).
Kapville (Cheltenham 3:05) is a horse I saw win at Lyon Parilly, checked his previous form and liked him after hearing the thoughts of the racing club's French advisor.
His form is hard to work out compared to the form of the horses from over here but we think that win in early November should have him on a rating of about 142, which gives him a good few pounds in hand.
He handles cut in the ground very well and is a very experienced cross country runner, he has been underestimated by the bookies as he was put up at 50-1 but is now much shorter.
The owner also bred and owned Vroum Vroum Mag before selling to the Riccis and it's probably nothing but betbright opened up quite short. This is a far tougher race for the Nap and like I said it is hard to work out the form but we are confident.
