MY nap could only manage second on Sunday and my other tip lost so I ended the day 4pts down.

Passing Star 11-2 ladbrokes
Every now and again a horse pops up that you just think this rating must be too low now. Passing Star three years ago ran in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot when rated 103, the same year he came second to Ertijaal only beaten 3/4 length “i tipped Ertijaal that day, that’s why it stands out to me”.
Fast forward three years and he is now rated 67, although this 6yo gelding isn’t a 103 rated horse now I think he is 10 to 20 pound short of what he can be again, I liked his last run at Salisbury as he looked a horse on his way back.

Voice Of The North 9-2 NAP betvictor
Not much to worry about in this race for the horses that have already run and I think Voice Of The North is nicely bred and with a trainer who does well here with his two year olds.

Tobouggaloo 4-1 betvictor
Has been in cracking form of late and a win last time out was in the bag until the saddle slipped causing the jockey to unseat. That should have been 3 wins from her last 3 runs but on Monday she can make it 3 wins from her last 4 runs. Tobouggaloo is able to run from the same mark here, she looks well balanced so the course shouldn’t be a problem and she should be winning with C’est No Mour good enough to get second.

Whatever It Takes 6-1 NB bet365
I was really impressed with this horse last time out as Whatever It Takes never really put a hoof wrong at the hurdles. He jumped for fun and won with plenty left in the tank, it’s good to see connections stick with the jockey who gave the horse a beautiful ride. Jockey D J McInerney has a 50% win rate for this trainer 2 wins from 4 rides and a 20% win rate for owner J P McMunus with 4 wins from 20 rides and 2 places.

After a poor day it did surprise me to see Johnb Racing Club members back in the winners enclosure “fourth time this year” with a horse we have a share in but it was a pleasant surprise,
I didn’t think the horse could win today and I didn’t back him, also got to give a big shout out to Lulu Stanford who is in cracking form of late
