ONE 13-1 winner gave me a profitable day on a card I knew would be tough.
My four aways came in thanks to Plymouth, Portsmouth, Forest Green and Elgin. Plymouth were my Super Single in the Daily Record but I went with a more risky Hibs and both to score on the site – but I could afford with the profit so far.
Morecambe beat my both to score treble and England beat me for everything else with their pretty pathetic 2-0 win against Malta.
A tough day was reflected by the fact Greg, Desmond and Jordan all missed out.
My focus will be on the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday and I've posted a preview and there are a few others game to look at. It's 2-1 Scotland – and how we needed that from Gordon Strachan's side last night – against Irish and Welsh teams in the IRN-BRU Cup and it should be 3-1 today.
Queen of the South entertain Northern Irish leaders Linfield and should win the tie with both scoring a possibility after it came up in Crusaders v Livingston, Forfar v TNS and Bala v Alloa.
I tipped Queens in Saturday's Daily Record but 4-5 has gone and they are now a best 8-11 at Marathonbet. That's fine for accumulators but for a Super Single I'm trying Queens to score 3+ at 9-4 with bet365.
Comment on the site from followers of Irish football suggest the Crusaders side that lost to Livingston are better than Linfield even if the latter are top and unbeaten.
Queens are also unbeaten in the Championship and at home they've won three and scored nine. The other game was a 0-0 draw with nearest challengers Hibs.
There will be a cracking atmosphere at Palmerston with around 1000 Linfield fans travelling across the Irish Sea but led by the likes of Stephen Dobbie Queens should have too much quality in what hopefully will be a high scorer.
A second Super Single is a treble on short-priced sides Ireland at Moldova, Spain in Albania and Italy away to Macedonia.
Queens go on the Top Treble with Oxford who should use their good home record to beat Wimbledon. Add Ukraine -1 at home to Kosovo. The Kosovans' limited ability was shown up as they crashed 6-0 at home to Croatia and they could suffer another heavy defeat in Kiev.

Was looking around for a super single to have a bet on and I have to say I was surprised to see the pricing up of the England v Malta game.
England will win but with the bookies expecting England to win by 5 or 6 I just don’t buy that.
England traditionally like to play slow and build from the back. Two years ago against regular whipping boys San Marino it took 25 minutes to break the deadlock against San Marino and England could only manage 5 and 6 in the reverse.
The only other time England have hit five or more was again against San Marino in 2013 (0-8).
If you look at Malta they’re actually a stubborn bunch. Take out the 5-1 defeat to Scotland, where a red card at 2-1 did nothing to help their against column and a 6-0 drubbing to the more direct play of Czech Republic they aren’t the whipping boys that San Marino are.
In their last campaign they lost 2-0 away at frequent scorers Croatia (where they played with ten men for an hour) and a narrow 1-0 defeat in Italy suggests that as long as they keep it tight early doors they are likely to hold it together.
I’m not expecting Malta to score but I am expecting them to defend resolutely and frustrate the home fans.
It has the feel of a 3-0, possibly 4-0.

Queen of the South are certs to beat linfield in my opinion. Crusaders got beat at home on their artificial pitch to Livingston (Friday night) and Crusaders are far better than Linfield. QotS are better than Livingston so that’s my thinking.
I think Queens will win but the Irish table suggests there’s not much between Crusaders and Linfield.
Hi Mr F. I agree about a QotS win. Being from Belfast and attending alot of the games both those teams have a big financial advantage in terms of budget so they will always dominate the majority of the league. Crusaders have had great success over recent years and as a result have brought in some great players . Although table doesn’t show it there is a big difference in two sides. You could prob tell me more about QotS and there quality.
Queens are a decent side especially going forward although I think Derek Lyle is injured which is a blow.
Stephen Dobbie you will know and he’s still a good player and started out at Queens many moons ago.
They are much better than Livingston for sure.

He never posts the odds he gets, and based on his before and after stake amounts I would suggest they are very inflated.
He has completed two challenges in the last couple of weeks (def not 4) and has also started and failed several.
In summary, I think it’s a smoke and mirrors job.
