IT'S an all-British master v young pretender showdown at the China Open tennis today with Andy Murray taking on Kyle Edmund in the quarter-final.

Murray won their only previous meeting in three sets at Queens Club last year and is just 1-12 at Sportingbet to reach the semis and 6-19 at Marathonbet to progress without dropping a set.

Edmund, who has enjoyed a stellar breatkthrough season, is 21-2 at Marathonbet for a shock win and 7-2 at Ladbrokes to take a set off the world No.2.

The other matches include Rafa Nadal against Grigor Dimitrov while British women's No.1 Johanna Konta is also in China quarter-final action against home hope Shuai Zheng.

England's cricketers begin their tour of Bangladesh with an ODI today and are 4-9 at winner.com to claim the opening honours with the hosts 23-10 outsiders at Marathonbet.

There's also the likes of snooker and rugby on the sporting schedule so as usual let's hear your tips and chat.

hi guys. Amazing P.Kvitova vs M.Keys …I bet on Kvitova 2 days ago to win 2-0 vs Muguruza. Landed easily at 2.20 at William Hill. Today she’s against Keys I was watching her against Kuznetsova and she’s not even close to Kvitova at the moment as no one is. Incredible form by Kvitova so I’m on Kvitova -3.5 at 1.72 at William Hill. Keep watching her guys as she’s in absolutely incredible form

Johnson TD on his 16th carry with plenty of time for three more barring injury. Back on track.

  3. Jordan 8 years ago

PP and Ladbrokes already know Johnson should have a big night and are offering 128.5 and 130.5 Rush & Receiving Yards, but its a big line which I don’t like taking. I mentioned this market for LeVeon Bell Sunday night and his 115.5 line was hit with 178 scrimmage yards for the running back. The 49ers lost their All-Pro MLB Navorro Bowman last week during their loss against the Cowboys. Before Bowman went out the Cowboys were averaging 4.6 yards per carry, and when he exited, they moved that number to 6.4 yards per carry.

Johnson ends his night on 27 attempts for 157 rushing yards and 28 receiving yards on three receptions. Didn’t take the line but both bets in without much fuss thankfully.

    David Johnson (Arizona Cardinals) Over 18.5 Rush Attempts @ 17/20 @ Ladbrokes – 4 points ✔️

    Johnson Anytime TD best priced at 4/5 @ 365 – 2.5 points ✔️

Just a couple of the Skybet Requests I think are worth it.

    D.Johnson Over 84.5 Offensive Yards & To Score A TD 8/11 ✔️

Over 1.5 Interceptions, Over 1.5 Sacks & Both T.Smith and D.Johnson Both To Score A TD 9/1 ✖️ No TD for Smith

    Great tipping handyman

  9. handyman22 8 years ago

Thanks @jordan & @nflfan I tend to fancy the handicap & total points market as it has some good odds available. Big second half from Arizona didn’t do me any harm either!

Big domestic fight today for the British Heavyweight Championship

Dillian Whyte vs Ian Lewision – Ian Lewison win 13/2

I really fancy Lewison to beat Whyte in “The Battle of Brixton” this evening. Whyte has not too recently returned from shoulder surgery and has looked shabby in his fights since especially against Dave Allen where he looked to tire and took a few big shots.

Lewison has had a good run of late picking up a creditable win in China for the WBO Asia Pacific title. He is also quite a big unit and being the heavyweight division naturally one punch can end a fight.

I have to favour the underdog here at a big price. I really think the bookies have got this one all wrong.

    Good luck all

Nice work @jordan @nflfan @handyman22 good results last night onto Sunday we go with bit of cash in the pockets. I don’t mind admitting I chucked 20 quid on Arizona to win superbowl this year have brought a huge brush to sweep that bet under carpet come next year ? ill deny all knowledge if it’s ever brought back up, not like these threads can be back checked…..ohhh am still 1million points up @jordan don’t forget that I just have to leave out certain weeks in the season ? see you Sunday

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Lol cheers @lee-cunliffe. Hmm if that Arizona bet comes off then hats off but at this rate you might lose that bet to your own Vikes, which I’m sure you won’t mind.

    • lee cunliffe 8 years ago

Not at all mate would take vikes win over the cash already been planning when to book the conference games off the confidence is high ?

  13. nflfan 8 years ago

Lol nice one lee look forward to your tips on sun..what about your boys for the big one that Viking D looks the business

    • lee cunliffe 8 years ago

Looking strong pal we were strong on D last year and should have made the championship game. Zimmer always been a D minded coach and we scare teams now forcing qb to check down and panic. See u all Sunday

Final week of the Rugby Championship. 4 from 5 for my main bets and hoping to end on a high.

Going away from my ‘safe’ doubles as the game between Arg. & the Aussies is being played at a neutral venue (Twickenham) and could go either way. I do expect a high scoring encounter though.

My main bet will be SA to score more converted penalties than tries 5/6 (bet365). Wet weather is expected and with Morne Steyn at flyhalf the Boks will look to take the 3 more often than not. I just hope the All Blacks don’t get out to a big lead early.

In addition to the main bet I’m gonna put a few small stakes bet on the game:
NZ -12 (5/6). This rivalry is huge but the Boks just aren’t the same (Politics etc) and the All Blacks should have too much for them.
NZ to win both halves (5/6). The 2nd half to be the highest scoring half (5/6). Usual tryscorer bets: Ben Smith anytime 11/8 and Waisake Naholo anytime 20/21.

For the Arg/Aus game I’ll be on over 48.5 points (91/100). The in-play total tries market could be profitable too. Gonna wait for a good price on over 2.5 tries for the Aussies and jump on that. Obviously small stakes due to the large number of bets. Final week so thought I’d have a right crack at it. Enjoy

    Pittsburgh Steelers ML
    New England -5.5

    5/6 @ 365 – 12 points

Haven’t posted this weeks write ups yet but will in good time. Eric Decker has been ruled out with Quincy Enunwa also added to today’s injury report. That’ll leave the Jets with a less than healthy Brandon Marshall in a injury riddled receiving corp that is going to have to step up against the Steelers on Sunday. The Jets are giving up some of the biggest passing plays in the NFL this season, and with Revis doubtful and Skrine questionable, Big Ben should have another solid game. I have a prop that I’m waiting on but think the Steelers are a great bet this weekend to add to the return of TB12 in Cleveland

Dillian Whyte vs Ian Lewision – Ian Lewison win 13/2 LOST

Was a brave peformance by Lewison, gave a much better account of himself than the odds would have had you believe but as soon as his nose was Broken in the fifth things were only going to get worse from there.
