ENGLAND'S loss to Australia on Saturday produced the result of the Rugby World Cup so far but William Hill predict the hosts' KO will see betting fall by as much as 25 per cent for the rest of the tournament.

The dominance of the southern hemisphere sides is underlined by the 1-5 that one of them will win the World Cup, with any northern team offered at 7-2. New Zealand are the 11-10 favourites with Australia 3-1 and South Africa 7-1.

“We definitely wanted England to go further,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “We now need a northern hemisphere team to come good and keep interest in the competition.”

Today's matches see Fiji tackle Uruguay in Pool A after Canada and Romania go head to head in Pool D.

Novak Djokovic is in China Open action this morning against Simone Bolelli while Nick Kyrgios and Richard Gasquet play their opening matches at the Japan Open.

Rugby World Cup (William Hill prices)

    NFL (Sunday)

New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys

    * New England Patriots -7 @ 9/10

Im liking the pats a lot in this one, The Cowboys are truly banged up atm and have way too many injuries in key positions. The pats are the last team they want visiting in this situation, coming off a bye week and being fully rested for the game i can see the patriots winning this by a big margain

    • John smith 8 years ago

Picksix, those odds have dropped a bit now but what do you think of over 28.5 points for NE Pats @10/11?

    Paire – :)

Dimitrov got a looong way to go before I take him seriously

  5. Attila 8 years ago

This China Open is full of land mines. All the top players are getting smashed. Mannarinos pathetic showing lost me a packet and now Gasquet is collapsing. All the women had a shocker yesterday… Can’t find a winning bet. Steer clear I think

  6. re-invented 8 years ago

Well done with paire ad, cracking odds as well considering dmitrovs form at the moment. Been searching through all today’s matches anything you like?

  7. Attila 8 years ago

Gasquet has forgotten how to serve…really poor from him

  8. Attila 8 years ago

Lost a small fortune on tennis over last couple days. Everything I touch (favourite or underdog) seems to just collapse. Might just follow guys on here tips…need a break cod I’m on a bad run.

  9. Aye Right 8 years ago

Gasquet got bent over and … by Bautista rightfully so.
Over 21.5 games in the Cibulkova and Kerber match.

  10. Felix 8 years ago

Dmitrov is hilarious. Good win again Ad. Missed the match but was on. 6-1 in the third is a beat down.

  11. silasvuitton 8 years ago

thanks guys for the nice tips here…..

    always greatful

  12. Aye Right 8 years ago

21.5 games in the cibulkova game is a no no…Kerber is ripping her a new one then replacing that one with another one. Dimitrov is garbage man can’t handle heartbreak.

  13. Aye Right 8 years ago

    Petkovic to beat Stosur Evens.

    • anton 8 years ago

Don’t see a problem with a bit of inside information? Bookies been doing it for years

  14. Aye Right 8 years ago

Petkovic wins 1st set cover for 3/1 if u like however I prefer covering Stoser to win the 2nd set. Im going to let mines run Stosur is a head case.

  15. Aye Right 8 years ago

Petkovic winning 2nd set , u never know though its wta.

  16. Attila 8 years ago

Two, Petkovic gives Stosur another break…what’s with WTA, can barely ever hold serve (think Serena is the only one who can, but she should be Ayung on the ATP anyways, lol)

  17. Aye Right 8 years ago

Attila WTA is great for inplay just bet on players to lose their service games and fyi Serena is a babe leave her alone…

  18. Attila 8 years ago

Duque-Marino @ $3.20 looks good to beat a very out of form Bacsinsky. Small stake.

  19. Attila 8 years ago

@ Aye – unfortunately I can’t bet in at in Australia (can cash out but can’t place) so I’m stuck. Being able to cover in-play would have saved me a ton.

  20. Attila 8 years ago

    *cant bet ‘in-play’

  21. Attila 8 years ago

Duque-Marino is so close to getting on top of Bacsinsky…just cant get in front on the scoreboard. Bacsinsky’s game riddled with errors.

  22. Aye Right 8 years ago

Bac is a top ten player if she can hold her nerve.A major missing link for her but I think she has this game sewed up.

  23. Attila 8 years ago

Ah well, thats over. Duque-Marino won her last 4 games 2-0 and Bacsinsky lost 4 of her last 5 so was worth a gamble. Bacsinsky still not looking like her old self…
She plays Suarez-Navarro next – depending on odds might be worth taking Navarro.

  24. Aye Right 8 years ago

Petkovic super single came in earlier.
Baczinsky single came in lumped on it (not smart at all)

  25. Aye Right 8 years ago

Navarro will win but I strongly feel it will be a hard fought battle considering both players are not top form.Last year Bac was amazing and so was Navarro.

  26. Aye Right 8 years ago

Venus to win 2nd set.Should see a strong showing from Venus who just lost the tie break.Ivanovic is sloppy and neurotic at times and I’m sure this trait will rear its ugly head once again hopefully in the 2nd. Good luck.

  27. Aye Right 8 years ago

Williams capitulated unexpectedly and Ana held her nerve.Sky must be falling.

  28. Aye Right 8 years ago

2 out of 3 bets won currently. Next bet Dominic thiem to beat Isner , they have met on clay before and Dominic won.Just hope Isner hits many double faults and does’nt convey the full powers of his serve.

  29. Ad 8 years ago

    Outrights:

    Tokyo

    Paire @ 20/1

    China

    Ivanovic @ 8/1

And a cheeky little double :p

  30. Aye Right 8 years ago

Ad what’s your thoughts on today’s games?Think Isner will even the score with Thiem?

  31. Felix 8 years ago

Clay is Thiem’s favourite surface. Not quite as good on hard as sometimes his timing is a little off. I suppose it’ll be close as they’re both strong on serve usually

  32. Ad 8 years ago

I would give the nod to isner, but it’s not a match Im v interested in putting money on. 6-3, 7-6 is my prediction, that’s as far as I’m willing to get involved.

  33. punterpounder 8 years ago

djokovic brothers first competitive doubles match I thought id take them to win they have had match point but not taken it.. 1-1

  34. Ad 8 years ago

Pospisil to beat Rafa @ whatever you can get!

3/1- 7/2 is what I’m seeing right now, and given Rafas struggles, most recently getting broken four times today by his ex-ball boy, number 230 odd in the world, Wu who got thumped 6-0, 6-1 by Chung in his last match.

The end is nigh for Nadal

  35. Attila 8 years ago

It’s kind of sad seeing Nadal heading towards the point of no return… he’s amazingly still ranked #8 though, even though he hasn’t beat a decent ranked player in a couple months.

  36. Picksix 8 years ago

John smith it definetely has a chance , I expect them have a high score and 29 points is certainly reachable, the -7 is just a safer option I Feel as I can’t see the Cowboys offense making much of an impact

    • John smith 8 years ago

      Ok thanks picksix.

  37. punterpounder 8 years ago

    Canada -3 handicap 11/10 @b365 looks decent

  38. OriaZ 8 years ago

Gonna put a few pts on Pospisil at 5/2, thank for highlighting it Ad.

  39. OriaZ 8 years ago

@Jordan, threw a few pts on GSW -7 and Seahawks ML after you pointed it out yesterday and it came in nicely so thanks.

  40. Jordan 8 years ago

Oriaz no worries but I wish I had done that myself haha

Gents just pointing out that the Dolphins could be a team to back against for a while. Fired their head coach yesterday and supposedly Tannehill is throwing more picks in practice than completions and has supposedly even started talking trash to the practice squad about their paychecks. Philbin has apparently told the squad to go easy on Tannehill so he can regain his confidence.

  41. punterpounder 8 years ago

cant believe Canada the amount of points they have missed off of the points and their lacklustre play has allowed Romania back in they should have walked this

    • punterpounder 8 years ago

      *points off the penalties

  42. Hollywood Rainham 8 years ago

Uruguay should cover the handicap despite what the bookies think.

  43. Dazzler 8 years ago

    Tonight’s mlb
    Astros @ Yankees
Top 1st run- YES @ 3.8 (fun bet)

It’s the end of the regular season and we’re into the play offs, with the AL wild card game tonight.

I fancy the Astros to win but the odds aren’t appealing.

I tend to only do longer odds ‘fun bets’ in the post season as the play offs can be pretty difficult to predict and the stats go out the window a lot of the time.

  44. Baggio 8 years ago

Thought the same Hollywood. Less than spread in 2014 and Uruguay should want to end on a high (not get whipped).

But…heard a Fiji player 6’5″ and 20 stone is back in the team!!

  45. Gerdub 8 years ago

Seems to me that very few teams have covered the hcap in world cup so far, anybody got the stats??

  46. Ad 8 years ago

no idea gerdub, all i know is i made a wee bit of dosh with Namibia on the handicap then a whole load on Georgia with a low alternative handicap. go against NZ is my advice based on that data!
