AFTER a good week it was disappointing weekend for me as I finished just under 8pts down.
I will end October with a decent profit but it could have been much better. Yesterday for example I had Nice marked down as the Super Single then decided to put them in the Top Treble instead.
The biggest surprise of the day for me was Roma drawing 0-0 at Empoli to beat the treble after wins by Nice and Milan.
West Ham draw no bet was the Super Single instead and that didn't end well an my both to score treble was also a loser.
It's a pretty quiet Monday but there are some decent top-flight games to consider, the main event of course being Stoke at home to Swansea.
Stoke were superb last time out at Hull and if they can reach that level they should win especially as Joe Allen and Wilfried Bony will be out to impress against their old team.
Bony is 17-10 at Ladbrokes to net his first goal for Stoke who are 11-10 at William Hill to pick up the points.
Allen has been in decent scoring form and is 19-2 at bwin to score. And then there is Xherdan Shaqiri who hit a superb double against Hull and is 11-4 at Marathonbet to again hit the target. Also you can't ignore the claims of Marko Arnautovic who is 21-10 at bet365.
I thought about a Stoke scorer for the Super Single but in the end I couldn't choose one so I've gone to Italy instead.
There are two games in Serie A – Udinese v Torino and Cagliari v Palermo. Cagliari's 5-3 defeat at Fiorentina ended a run of three wins and both teams have scored in those four.
Cagliari and both to score is my pick against a side whose last three have brought up this market as have three of their last four visits to Sardinia. Palermo have lost their last three 3-1, 4-1 and 4-1 and Cagliari's previous three wins have been by 2-1.
There could also be goals at Udinese. Four of the home side's last six have gone that way as well as Torino's previous four and the last two meetings here have finished 1-5 and 3-2. A Serie A both to score double pays 2-1 at 10BET.
In Spain Deportivo host Valencia who have won three and been beaten by Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in their last five outings. They will fancy their chances at 11-5 with Marathonbet against a side who have conceded eight in their last two games against Celta Vigo and Barcelona.
There are four games in Sweden but all are meaningless unless you think AIK want to secure second spot ahead of Norrkoping. They will climb above them with one to play by winning at Jonkoping.
My Top Treble is Stoke, both to score at Udinese and from various comments on the site over 2.5 goals at Jong Ajax v VVV.

Hi gents. Poor day Saturday on the football front. Basel did their job but the Grasshoppers never really got going and couldn’t score with Watford pummeling the Hull defence but only getting one goal. Nothing I fancy tonight so October will end in a loss, but still + to show for the year with two months left.
