NFL week eight wraps up with a Monday night match-up between two sides with contrasting fortunes.

Minnesota Vikings look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they travel to a Chicago Bears side who've lost six of their seven outings.

The Vikings are favourites at 1-2 with Skybet and BetVictor to get to back to winning ways at Soldier Field while the home side are 13-7 underdogs at Marathonbet. Minnesota running back Matt Asiata tops the anytime touchdown betting at 8-5 with bet365 followed by Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey (13-8, Coral).

The big two of the tennis world are both in town this week for the Paris Masters as they fight it out for the world No.1 spot. The action gets under way today and Novak Djokovic is title favourite at 7-4 with Betfair who make Andy Murray a 15-8 chance.

There's also plenty of NBA matches throughout the night so as usual let's hear all your sporting tips and chat.

Morning gents. 1/2 in yesterdays NFL. The Pats blew the Bills away without much fuss with the points landing in Tampa to bring in the double. Julio Jones started off the day well with 29 yards in the first quarter, but unfortunately didn’t catch another pass the whole game. 0.2 point profit.

Tonight’s game is a tough one. I’d have more faith in Brian Hoyer than Jay Cutler after seeing them both play this season, so I wouldn’t advise to bet the Bears, but Minnesota’s offense is so sporadic that you don’t know who’s going to be getting the ball much so its tough to pick props.

The Bears are only scoring a league worst 15 points per game, with the Vikings giving up a league best 14 points per game, however, the Vikings aren’t scoring much themselves only averaging 21 points per game with their second unit QB/RB.

Not a market I usually dabble in, but with Cutler back under the helm for Chicago, neither team really being offensive giants, Minnesota’s stout defense, and add to the fact this is a primetime division game, it could be a bore fest. Under 4.5 Match TD’s pays 5/6 @10Bet with next best @ 4/5 @ Ladbrokes/BetVictor, but instead I’m going to take the under with 888Sport.

    Minnesota Vikings/Chicago Bears Under 42.5 Total Points @ 3/4 @ 888Sport – 4 points

Brook Lopez sat for the Brooklyn Nets in their loss to Milwaukee but will probably start tonight against Chicago as it was only rest. Jeremy Lin plays much better with the big man in the line up and you can see that from his 21/9/9 line the last time they both played in their win over Indiana. Expect Lin to feed Lopez the ball again to rack up his assists while he adds on his own points. I’m in two minds here but I’m taking his PR&A @ 27 rather than the points and assists @ 23.5.

    Jeremy Lin (Brooklyn Nets) Over 27 PR&A @ 5/6 @ PP – 2.4 points

Good luck if you follow and well done to any winners last night.

Morning off so have updated the NFL totals through week 8. Note this is without tonight’s Under bet. I’m also not going to keep track of my NBA bets as while the NFL is on the amount of bets pile up. While some may not be bothered, others might, but at the end of the day I’d say I’m confident enough to produce profitable numbers through the NBA props. If anybody wants to keep track they can, but it’s too much work trying to balance it out between the NFL.

    NFL Totals (Through Week 8)
    Bets 81
    Points Staked 283.55
    Points Returned 304.65
    Profit/Loss +21.1

Halfway through the season and 21 points up. It’s not brilliant, but its better than being down considering after week 4, I was -30 points in the red. Hopefully the rise continues.

Afternoon it’s your main man Max here with a recap of NFL Sunday. My props lost which I can only apologise for but I hope a 11/2 winner in the late game made up for it ;-) The one prop not only won but DEZ is back and he covered is line after just 2 catches. Both tips at Wembley came home and the double and treble hosed in without any Brama’s which is how I like it. So it was 63% winners with be going 7 out of 11 and with me finishing the night with the 11/2 it was profit to be had all round for my followers.

Evening Guys, it is your main man Max here. I didn’t expect the chance to post my tips tonight, however my GF Halloween promo party is running into the early hours, so I will only be picking her up after 1am. Anyway on to tonight MNF, and while the Vikes are expected to get back to winning ways, I always say don’t bet blind! The Vikes have won 1 of their last 8 at Soldier field and with the Bears season done, they will be right up for this.

The problem is Jay Cutler is facing the “Zim Reapers” tonight and it could get messy for him. Alshon Jeffery their star WR is open for a trade before deadline day and the Vikes are smarting after a shocker last week against Philly. If we take out the Vikes poor record in this fixture and they are without Mckinnon they are simply the better side not just tonight, but in the North, were the Packers lost ground again yesterday. They are my fancy to outlast Seattle and Dallas in the NFC.

My first tip on the game is Vikes O21.5pts at 10/11 Paddy Power. They have covered this line 4 times in 6 games this season, and face a bears secondary leaking yards and have given up more than this total 5 times this season. I can see the Zim Reapers forcing turnovers and getting to Cutler, giving the Vikes short field possessions to get the points.

My second tip is a player prop and it is TE Kyle Rudolph. On the road without both starting RBs I can see Bradford looking deep to Diggs, and Asiata will get the dump off passes but Rudolph will be often targeted, he is averaging roughly 12ypc on the road so 4 catches in effect then we cash in. On the road he has caught 5, 7 and 4 on the road. He has gone for 55, 70 and 65yds on the road this season and this Bears D is softer than the ones he has faced this season. O45.5yds 5/6 at Paddy Power.

    Max’s MNF Tips

    Vikings O21.5pts 10/11
    Rudolph O45.5yds 5/6
